I was on carnivore for two years. I ate 2 pounds of ground beef daily. After 2 years of this, I often felt hungry and I couldn't eat as much protein per day. I didn't understand why. I always felt hungry so I started to incorporate carbs. After a year of eating carbs, I noticed weight gain, low energy and depression. Recently I found your channel and it really opened my eyes to eating high fat to resolve hunger. So I'm back on carnivore now! Im eating high fat and feeling very satisfied. Really glad I found this channel because I've been wanting to get back to carnivore for so long, just didn't know how 💛

I’ve been aiming for one stick of butter per day since watching your first video with Dr. Bright. I just gave birth at home to a baby girl on Thanksgiving and when my midwives asked if I had any juice to drink or a piece of fruit, I told them I’d prefer my home made bone broth and some cold butter. Thank goodness they didn’t give me any flack about it but were very supportive of my choice of recovery food. I imagine all the fat I’m eating is really good for the baby’s milk I’m producing.

And many doctors, incl. Dr. Ken Berry, & carnivore dentists, talk about giving babies pieces of meat to teethe on & doing so will help create a strong dental arch, & they're likely to have their teeth come in straight & not crooked, & help with proper dental development overall. And of course it makes it much more likely the kids, as they grow, will reject crappy modern food when presented with it. Baby food is a multi-billion dollar, euro, pound, etc., business. When I think about my own upbringing...on sugary stuff incl. soda from a very early age, is it any wonder I've had a lifetime of dental issues, wisdom tooth extractions, multiple dental implants, crowns, etc. I'm sure our ancestors didn't make apple sauce or veggie purees for their babies; they sure couldn't walk to the nearest store for jars of baby food, which is NOT proper human food! There are many dental researchers now who are discussing & publishing work on modern dental & orthodontic issues being a function of the modern diet, versus our ancestral diet. Impacted wisdom teeth, crowding, crookedness, cavities, etc. are all modern outcomes of a crap diet. Or as Dr. Wiedman calls it, Standard Atrocious Diet (since it's not just an Amer. thing....eating a poor diet is happening across the planet now). Manufactured food is NOT food.

Carnivore didn`t do much on the scale for me, but I look leaner, my water retention is gone and hubby says my butt feels firmer ;). I feel better than I ever felt, I`m 55 and was always struggeling with my weight. After watching Dr. Bright on your show recently I tried the fat fasting with butter and lo and behold, the pounds start to drop. I can almost watch it happening. As I have a busy day at work (3 days a week) I do the fat fasting on these days. I start the day with a bulletproof coffee loaded with butter, over the day I snack on cold butter whenever I feel hungry. The other days, when I`m home, I do OMAD around noon, sometimes a second meal at about 6pm. I`m so happy I learned so much from your channel! Keep on the good work and thank you so much!

I get compliments on my skin quality, too! I believe that I can also sense a bit of oily skin after eating very high fat and I don't think that's a bad thing! The second best thing anybody can do for their face is to avoid long bouts hot tap water from the shower. I used to only use mountain stream water and I kid you not, you can see with your own eyes how your hands and arms look more hydrated, let alone the face! It's like the minerals in mountain streams allow that water to absorb. Tap water smells like chlorine to me and burns my nostrils and eyes, makes my hair ugly, and drys my skin and lips out as well as leaving some type of residue that probably also dries you out. The spots on our dishes from tap water lets us know that there's basically white powder in tap water, or toxic bull crap :-)

Dr. Lisa Wiedeman has me hooked on her brown butter bites. If your followers are having trouble eating butter, learn to make brown butter! It’s delicious!! The butter carmelizes in the pan and when you pour it into forms and freeze it, it hardens with with this beautiful two tone color. She does a video specifically teaching her method. It’s easy and so decadent with a little salt sprinkled across the top! Yum! You’ll have no problem upping your butter consumption snacking on this! I’m excited to have permission to do so now lol 😄😋❤

When you are eating a bunch of nutrient sparse plants, the message that your body is getting is, "The hunting around here right now sucks. We need to hunker down and get though this. I was vegan for a year and a half and that half of year was the beginning of the end. I had horrible symptoms that completely took over my life. My hair had completely stopped growing and became dry and brittle, constant bloat and constantly having to poop, to the point where I would have to plan my day around my bathroom breaks…I gained sooo much weight! It’s the heaviest I’ve ever weighed. I had knee pain and grinding, always tired,brain fog, horrible depression and anxiety, I became aggressive and had horrible headaches. My eyesight seemed blurry at times and my teeth began rotting out of my mouth. My cycle stayed regular but it was extremely heavy and painful. My hands and feet would get tingly and numb. I waisted a year of my life…The first thing my body told me to eat was salmon. An hour after I did my hands and feet were no longer numb, my headache stopped and I actually started crying because I felt soo amazing. I just recently discovered the carnivore diet and have been learning as much as I can to heal my body, eat properly, and to loose this horrible fat I’ve gained while vegan. I’m still struggling with my sugar/carb addiction I clearly have…watching your videos have helped guide me back towards the deep relationship I know I have with my body. Thank you soo much for all your guidance😊

That's a very bad way to view diets because it ignores many things. You can't just "view" health. There is so much more to a healthy lifestyle than just how good you look. Diets are very much be long term things. You likely aren't going to have a heart attack at 30 for having a bad diet. But at 50? They add up. Eating nothing but fat and red meat for a decade can increase your chances of heart disease. And a bad diet can be hidden by many factors, such as exercise. I think we can both agree drinking constantly is bad for you, but if you work off those calories in the gym, who would notice? Your liver will, but random people can't view your liver health.

I will tell you, though I'm getting older (in most people's view), my libido, and I believe my testosterone, is as high or higher than ever. Plenty of energy, definitely no sugar cravings, my metabolism is fat burning. I swim and lift weights, I eat more like 3-5 times a day, just eat till I'm ready to stop. Fat has the lowest insulin response of the macronutrients, that facilitates leanness. My sleep is great. My experience.

I pour it off my big round griddle pan right into the pan for eggs OR whatever else I need it for, and wow! The omelets or scrambles are delicious. I also like to use a big hunk of goat cheese in my scrambles. Recently I discovered Pluck seasoning (after Dr. Lisa Wiedeman discussed it in her videos) which I also sprinkle on my eggs when they're on the plate, and that gives me a shot of organ meats! They offer 4 styles; I like the "spicy" version.

I am 70. I was up to 200 and for 5'2" that's just looking for trouble. I have a history of yoyo diets, WW, Stillman diet etc. but even though I was eating veggies about 25% veggies 50% carbs and 25% protein I was showing signs of insulin being out of wack. I am on Thyroid but my skin was getting worse and worse drying out, I couldn't lose a dime, and was gaining the more I tried to reduce. July 2nd I began carnivore, because I was out of options. I used the concept of eating 5 small meals a day since I'm home all day. I eat about 200 calories at each meal all meat, chicken, eggs no cheese some cream in my coffee, I eat sausages, bacon and fish. I told myself I'm not on a diet if I want anything that's fine... I kept lettuce and croutons for a salad whenever I wanted one, in the beginning maybe 1 a week then I just stopped, I still use fish sticks I think to remind myself that IF I wanted something I like nothing is forbidden. It keeps me from stressing about it. I also keep homemade ice cream in the freezer, made with heavy cream. I also only have about 1/2 scoop, twice a month. It's there if I ever wanted it but I don't seem to want it. Now I'm hunting for recipes from all you guys who have paved the way. I wasn't eating butter but you are right, after taking a chunk I was craving more. Up till now I have had no hunger issues or cravings. You've ruined me ROFLOL so am adding butter. I take vitamins, including Magnessium/Potassium, Zinc, D3, C and multivitamins all chewable. My BP was steady at 165/99 and I was always tired before I started carnivore. Now I'm FULL of energy, my BP is 117/70 and I am more clear of thought. I didn't follow anyones plan. I listen to all the Docs online, remembered old WW basics, Just goes to show, it's never too late. I'm hoping this will take me another 20 years ... one can hope :) Thanks for your videos. I forgot to mention I'm now 188, 12 pounds down roughly 1 per week. I'm very happy and expect to continue to lose... maybe faster if I eat more butter. I even learned how to make my own from A2 milk!!

Ex-vegan here. 10+ years. I thought all my issues were due to not doing the vegan diet properly. I kept cutting back on foods because I thought I could not tolerate them. I was right. And once I had tried every possible combination of veganism (down to just juicing for an entire week, no food) I had to accept that this way of eating wasn’t working for me. While my mother claims to be happy and healthy on a vegan diet, I was crumbling. One morning as I walked down the hall my mother gasped because I was walking like an 80-year-old woman (I’m 56). I hurt all over. I had lost mobility in my joints and was exhausted. As a former ballerina, i didn’t recognize myself. So much inflammation. I decided that something had to change because what I was doing wasn’t working. So I have committed to carnivore for 30 days to see how I feel. So far, so good. My allergies have diminished significantly. My joints are healing and I don’t limp as much anymore. And my mood has improved as well. I have no issues with this change as I take my electrolytes every day, and without being too gross, I have no problem in the bathroom. I have also lost 1” from my waist at 11 days in. 🤞🏻

Thank you for sharing your experience. I began Keto just over 5 years ago to deal with 2 autoimmune diseases, RA of 15 years, and PMR of just over 1 year. Within 3 months I had PMR beat and off Prednisone. The methotrexate for my RA proved more difficult, but when I discovered carnivore, 30 days later off Methotrexate and no pain. The only time my joint pain came back was when I included oxalate foods. I now switch back and forth between Keto and Carnivore depending on the social situation. I've also done time restricted eating every day for more than 5 years, and I've done some multiday water fasts. I've noticed that my metabolism has speed up since I first began Keto. My first multiday fast was about 3 months into Keto, and I lost an average of 0.7 lbs a day over a 7 day water fast. 2 years later that number has increased to 1.2 lbs a day over a 7 day water fast. I love experimenting and often check my glucose and ketone levels, and over a 2 week water fast I was trying various foods and checking glucose and ketones. Yes I'd eat 2 slices of whole grain bread just to see the results, and blood glucose rose just as much as white processed bread, so so much for the "healthy" whole grain crap. I did notice that when I ate butter, or drank heavy whipped cream during my testing fast, that when I consumed high fat foods my glucose actually went down and my ketones went up, and I felt great. So from that experience, a few months ago I did my own variation of a fat fast, 1 large tin of wild caught salmon with a big spoon full of Keto Mayonnaise. I did this for 3 days following a week of Keto, and over those 3 days I lost 0.7 lbs a day. I usually don't have any craving while water fasting, but on my fat fast I really had no desire to eat more than what I had. My glucose was low and ketones were high. I struggled with this for 8 months of carnivore. I ended up going off the wagon just because of life circumstances, and it didn't stop. 😞 I feel like it must be hormonal, but I expected the carnivore to help with that, so now back on I'm just gonna stick with the butter and iodine and cross my fingers. ❤️

Ive been suffering with Carpal tunnel in my hands so bad when I wake up and also back pain. I decided after watching yesterday to eat Carnivore and heaps of butter, and I kid you not my Carpel tunnel and back pain is 90% already gone. It just blows my mind that you have results within 24hrs because all the inflammation goes away thus pain also goes away. Thankyou for your wisdom and your interviews.xx

We've been on carnivore for just over a year now, cleaner carnivore for around 6-8 months. My husband and I have cut out coffee, and all four of us are now only using Himalayan salt on our meat, no more spices, except the odd stock cube (1-2x per month). Since you had the first interview with dr. Bright (I bought her book then), we started taking iodine everyday, as well as eating more fat (tallow, butter, cheese, fried fat blocks from beef/sheep fat). All four of us (dad, mom, two teenaged boys) have had improvements as you mentioned in this video. Husband's chronic inflammation in his feet (gout) has subsided again. It seemed to flare up with eating too much meat. He is less stressed, and sleeps way better. His circadian rhythm has also stabilised, as you experienced. And he has finally started loosing weight! Youngest (13yr old) son's hormones are also seemingly sorting themselves out. He is not moody anymore, and not trying to withdraw from the world - his sport/club friends. He is also sleeping better, as he has always struggled to sleep more than 4hrs at a time, since he was a baby. Oldest son (16yr old) has seen marked improvement with the cystic acne on his face. He is building muscle (tall, skinny boy), and his swimming coach has exclaimed how much he has improved over the last couple months. Went from (her test) level 2 swimming to level 5 in less than 6 months! Lastly my hormones seem to also be stabilising and I am definitely less stressed and sleeping better. Don't need more than 7 hours of sleep per night. No cramps, usually regular (27-28 days) with the odd month that has 21 days (but I'm 48 yrs old - apparently it is to be expected).

What does your husband eat now to avoid gout?
@mrsvan001
@mrsvan001 Год назад
@@rachellee9649 He eats clean carnivore: mostly eggs, beef, some chicken, some pork (including bacon), himalayan salt (and he adds extra for mineral content as we can't find clean electrolyte mix that doesn't contain flavourants or sugar). He adds butter, fat, or tallow to each meal and I make his egg/meat portions around 250-300g per meal (3x/day). He doesn't like fatty meat though, which is why he also adds extra fat to his plate. If he eats a little too much meat (the portion was too big) then he starts getting niggles of gout in his feet.
@rachellee9649
@rachellee9649 Год назад
Wow, gout is so tricky! I always like to hear how other people are tackling it. I've heard some people get a few flares in the beginning then they eventually can just eat all the meat they want/need. Sounds like he is still having to be careful with portions.
@mrsvan001
@mrsvan001 Год назад
@@rachellee9649 With him it seems to be the other way around. Right at the start he could eat all the meat he wanted, and within the first two weeks after stopping all veg (we've been off carbohydrates and sugar for two months by then), all his gout left. No inflammation. Unfortunately this was also after he's had two operations - one because of chronic inflammation in his urinary track, causing other issues, and then an emergency appendix removal four weeks after the first operation. That was when he finally decided to go carnivore. Own research as the doctors had no answers. Nothing they suggested worked. As he seems to get better and better (it's now 1.5yrs after the two operations) he also seems to become more sensitive to certain foods. So we've been cutting out things (spices, etc.) one by one to where we are now. But even how he is now, is so much better than before, that we'll rather just go on and experiment with what works and what not.

This really is one of your best videos yet (& as usual, I loved the piano playing at the end). Showing your lab #s was truly the "proof in the pudding" or should I say, "the proof is in the butter." I took a photo of the TV screen and will compare those numbers to mine from my May 2022 numbers which reflected 4 ½ months on carnivore. I began my 12th month on carnivore yesterday & have lost 48 lbs. so far this year (at least 48....I try not to obsess over weighing in; 1-2x month is enough to keep myself fr. going crazy). For much of the year i was putting heavy cream in my coffee but no longer do, instead I sprinkle a few grains of Redmond salt into the mug, add a giant blob of unsalted butter. I literally never experience hunger anymore, even when I did a 3-day fast in July. I put on an old skintight pair of jeans a few days ago, and they slipped down past my rear end!! Today I'm starting my 2nd day of a 3 day fast -- my 2nd 3-day fast this year. I use more & more butter every day & finally used up my supply of extra virgin olive oil. I save fat from making bacon & pork belly or from making lamb or beef. You & Kelly Hogan & the many wonderful MDs & PhDs I've discovered on YT are my guides & inspiration. My weight gain began at menopause & I have only about 8-10 more ponds to lose before I get back to pre-menopause weight. My only gripe is hair thinning that began immed. at menopause, & I'm hopeful that increasing my butter-eating will help reverse that. You are an amazing inspiration & I love S&B Guy too! I will start eating butter before bed, since my sleep pattern is still horrible.
