This was tough to watch, I can't imagine what it felt like to edit and explain. That awful experience will end up being more helpful than the actual play was in managing your emotions, which everyone has to learn over and over. You probably should have lost more. That's a sobering thought. Thanks for making a professional vlog of of this, and better luck next time!

They got into your head. What I’ve learned is that guys who are calling your big raises with wide ranges aren’t necessarily fishy. They’re doing it cause they’ve zeroed in on your range/play style or realize you’re shot taking and think they can bust you with some BS hand or bluff you on certain run outs. You won’t necessarily get easy folds just cause you’ve been playing tight, it’s the opposite they will use that against you.

Tuff session. I don’t think you played poorly. I think the run outs we’re just very unfavorable for you.

Keep your head up you played just fine. Runouts just sucked. You also made excellent folds with top two pairs. And correctly so excellent from my view. I play online all daylong. It gets brutal but that’s poker. Great stream thank you!

In several of these situations where you flopped top pair or overpair in raised pots your bet sizing or checking got you into trouble. If you got a strong top pair and there are draws don't check or bet one quarter pot bet half pot to 3/4 pot to protect your hands. You were running fairly bad though and you only made a few moderate mistakes so it could have been a lot worse.

Thank you for the feedback I appreciate it. Yeah I have turned the aggression on a lot higher since the stream
@dreeeet
@dreeeet 11 месяцев назад
Definitly unlucky with the runouts. There are IMO a few spots you could play differently. For instance, you often say you want to let your opponents catch up when flopping OK/good. Why not just bet and build the pot? Whats often happens when you check good hands on the flop is that you end up calling down any runout because you underrepped your hand, or wrongly end up folding when the villain senses weakness and decides to steal. Also, when you almost always downbet flop you give your opponents excellent odds to continue (like with the KQo hand). What would have happened if you bet 5-600 on that flop?

When I feel like the table calls every raise that I put in I just keep putting in larger and larger raises preflop in order to thin the field. I think to myself what size will it take to get some iso and or respect at the table. They are not scared money so you need to make them scared. LOL! Good Luck Bro keep up the good work!

There were a couple spots where the size of the game influenced your play. I'm not saying I turn down this invite if I am you, and Chris might even have paid you to be there. I mean obviously compared to Chris you aren't famous, but your one he'll of a lot more famous then the next most famous. I think you need to use the fact that people know you are a very good player. People are going to assume your plays are very well thought out......because they are. Like at 2/5 1k cap your probably the favorite in that lineup. Chris will be punting because the game is too small and you definitely have a skill edge against everybody else. Right now 500 cap games are extremely comfortable for you, and 1k cap is you literal wheelhouse. This game is too big. Impossible to turn down though, I hope you got a little kick back for being the only other relevant personality at the table.

In the first hand you mention the reraise on the Q99 doesn’t make sense but you say he’s committed also. That is clearly not true if you shove there dude is folding. And also the analysis of what you put him on… that range is all folding to the shove. Your right it didn’t make sense. But the excuse of folding because of fear of the call… yikes that is bad. You need to focus on making the right poker play.

You cant play typical poker at a game like that. You have to level your opponents. You didnt level at all. You're an abc poker player who plays his hands face up and gets invited to spew chips. You don't bluff. You're easily exploitable. Balance it out. Your reasoning for overfolding is not good for long term gains.
@starttakinnotez
@starttakinnotez 11 месяцев назад
Learn how to exploit opponents. If your read is "this guy has top pair and I have nothing" you have to start raising flops turns & start leading on rivers. You also don't overbet. You should start studying all this stuff I said. Poker is like a game of chess. Everything you do influences peoples thoughts. Induce a thought in your opponents mind and cash in on it.

He honestly got some terrible runouts this session. He did play a bit scared in a few hands but most of the hands he lost were to being outdrawn by 2 pairs, straights, and flushes. He could have made money if he didn't get sucked out on so much imo.

Deleted first comment because you covered it at end. So I’ll say this one… Myself , You and everyone .. impossible to play well in games with too high stakes. That’s to big $ for yah and it showed by your play. Yah didn’t play your game because it’s black chips instead of green. Either get staked or skip the big games because it’s a waste for yah.
