Drove my first GT500 today. They absolutely rip. Very impressed with the trans and the power delivery. Over 6k rpm it’s an animal. Feels quicker than Hellcat Redeye for sure.
You’re on the money Mike. GM is pandering to politics. Seems all that bailout money came with a cost and that cost is now due. The corvette will be ruined with EV tech. Will it be fast? Sure. But will it be a corvette with an unmistakable exhaust note and v8 rumble? No. The 70 year history will be over when GM goes ERay. Unfortunately politicians no absolutely nothing about true environmental science. If they did, they would know that fossil fuels is not the problem. Industrial pollution is the issue. EV’s create more environmental impact than gas powered vehicles. Sad days ahead.
Had this car at the Chevy dealership I work at twice actually. It pulls hard. We had it put on the dyno, which would have been a little over a year ago. It made around 960 and that was on slicks. So on a street tire it would have made a little more power.
Seeing you enjoy and have fun in the mustang made me so happy. People like to make jokes and hate on them but once you drive one it all changes. super hype about this

Borla will sound awesome on that 'stang...my bro has one...first thing he did....I really wish I knew more about it, like what part number, but....he already asked me if I want to take her for awhile...I just really have an aversion to driving other people's cars...shit happens and I don't want to be that guy...back in the day I had a hotrod Pontiac pushing around 600...I let him take it for a weekend to do a carshow that I was registered in...I had a side job to do, so he and his girl went in my stead...he brought it back detailed, with a full tank of hightest, and a second place trophy for best in show...barely got beat by a Buick that was badass...didn't know they had a second place for best in show...anyways, I think he feels he owes me because I let him take my car...just knowing that he trusts me that much is pretty cool...

hold the left paddle it takes you to the optimal gear. Plus really would like to see this one with a little more vs the svj. Plus with tunes some of these rev as high as 8500rpm so learn whats done to it.

Very cool Mike definitely be looking forward to seeing you build this and I like that it's something different even though I love the Vette content. And btw your absolutely rite about them ruining the Corvette when they start adding electric to it!
Gotta think the reason these feel more like a vette is because a stock cftp gt500 4000lbs but can get around a track faster than or within a second of cars like Ferrari f8 tributo Lamborghini huracan evo and porsche gt3rs which are all 4to 5 seconds faster than a c8. plus Most people like the brakes better on the 500 over all them cars.
Thanks for the knowledge I know Kansas city street races hasn't been same sense these coyote engine and 10 speed or 8 speeds come out thank that's y there doing slide shows more often now days no one can't keep up but from what I've seen few of Kansas Citys look more like promods going down the street than the parachute door slammer cars

I have so much to say but i will say this! I’m super happy that mike finally bought a mustang Shelby and is talking very very positive things about the car ! This vid blew my mind and I couldn’t believe it! Also i smiled so many times during the vid it was wild but mike on a serious note! The exhaust is so loud And incredible sounding if i was ya I wouldn’t change it! Yes i know how you with the sound and such but still! Plus an idea for a vid would be doing a auto cross track day itch it and really putting it to the test

Hell yes I love this. It sounds so mean. I know you mentioned putting a corsa exhaust on it. I am more of a borla guy for the deeper noise instead of the high pitch but wow it sounds great

Been with you since 2014 and the yellow Stingray. I had just bought a 2014 Stingray and was looking for Corvette content. Stayed with you through the white Hellcat and on to the Yellow ZO6. Your videos with that car are why I bought a 2016 Z06 brand new. GM really owes you for me buying that car. You have represented the brand best of all the RU-vidrs. They played around with the brand, you have stayed true to Corvettes. I'm sure I'm probably your oldest fan (75). Keep up the good work.
I seen a GT500 in action on the track. That thing was wicked. The sounds it made were pure art. Faast! My only gripe is the gear selector, dont really like the dial

Crazy GM didnt see the value in getting you an allocation. I bought my first C7 Zo6 3 weeks ago because of this channel and was planning on getting a C8 Zo6 as well.

Nice! Just got back to Florida after a 2 week trip to see family in Massachusetts and Maine. Took a spin in my uncle's Silver 2020 GT 500. Amazing car.
