Gonna document as much of the conversion as I can, probably spread it across a few videos over the course of a week. Will be following week most likely. Next week I may be picking up the suspension and a few other bits. Enjoy 👌🏼

Good work man, I did my first ko4 swap last month, it was a lot easier than I thought. Just kinda a pain in the ass cause there is not much room to work. Anyway, keep up the videos man, they are awesome!

Couldn't have been more of a convenience with this upload, just got rid of my corsa opc/vxr bout to get the seat Leon Cupra with f350 body kit, it's got the bwa motor in (bwj on paper but same thing) and the KO4 turbo, can't wait to see how the gti goes with the new turbo especially since we gonna basically be running the same setup!
Coming together nicely👌 Just consider the intercooler, its practically a must have for the ko4's You'll get cooler inlet temps and more consistent power even when the heat is up. Because the biggest problem with more power is more heat i.e not good👎 And for even more consistent power and no heat soak think about water meth injection for the future
the i30n mention came out of no where. Would love to see a proper honest review of the standard i30n or the fastback and how they differ between each other.
I'm really enjoying this build, I own a Leon with the same engine and you're just making me want to do this myself, can you please let us know how much this cost to do start to finish? Also you'll probably gonna have to upgrade your clutch mines only stage 2 and it nearly shit itself on the Dyno 👍 keep up the good work mate!
Not gonna lie I’m a bit confused, turbos, air filters, sorting the fundamental basics is more important surely, like suspension, and a boot lock that doesn’t catch fire when you plug it in 😂 Personally i would have left the car exterior and interior exactly as it came from the factory, and then made it a monster where you can’t see any of the mods from outside, proper sleeper style You even said it yourself, they are great cars as is, why try and guild it with tacky rims and stripping it out? Unless it’s going to be an all out race car or show car then i can’t see the point in any of that, just spend the money where it counts 😉 And I’m not hating on it before anyone gets a Sandy vagina, just think it’s better to spend wisely
The wheels may look tacky to you, that's subjective but he didn't buy them for looks. They're Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2's which are well established, relatively cheap, lightweight wheels used for track and fast road on many cheap to high-end cars. He bought the set used for a few hundred as the opportunity arose. I'm sure suspension is on his list of things he wants to get done but as this is just a £2k car he's not going to spend over £1k just yet for a brand new suspension setup that he will only really fully need and utilize once he's running more than the stock power anyway. He's relying on sponsors and deals for this project car so unless you can hook him up with some decent coilies or a good deal on a set then I suggest you not waste your time in the comment section. All in good time, and besides, lightweight wheels make a huuuge difference to the handling and feel of a car, almost as big an improvement as a full coilovers especially after those heavy stock GTI Monzas. Plus stripping the car out is FREE and again helps handling and he won't be using the seats anyway since it's a project car, not a daily. "spend wisely" you're comment makes zero sense. Do you even own a car? Or just a youtube account and keyboard?
You’ll need to upgrade your brakes someway. You’ll need an intercooler very badly. You’ll need a catch can to catch the extra blow by the big turbo gives. You’ll need a lot more things to have the full potential of the k04 😂
Are you going to do anything about the 200k of carbon build up on the intake ports and valves, otherwise you'll wasting a lot of the extra boost from the k04?

You will be lacking quite some power unless you do a proper intake valve decarb. After all those miles trust me it will be night and day difference. Talking from own experience
