If you just drop a chain loop through the front top track pad hole, stick a bar in it then pull track backwards on the track then on the other side you will get the trans moving and out of gear instead of banging on the levers like a monkey.

Hank, you have all the patience I have little. I’m 73 years old. Been working with heavy machinery/ equipment all of life. The only way anyone can learn from me is Like you. Watch me. I can’t explain what I do. I just do it. I just jumped on equipment and did what needed to be done Back in the day. No safety precautions

From what the camera showed, Dove did an excellent job driving your truck with the trailer behind it, she understood what you were talking about easily, she's a natural! Zee did a great job of hooking up the chain so Dove could snap it, I knew it wasn't going to hold, but it's already done by the time we get to watch it going on. Those girls are very smart, it's great to see them learning about the things you're showing them. The pretty girls are going to be beautiful women in no time, I can only imagine how many boys are trying to get a date with either one, God bless them. Love you brother, It's awesome that you include Scripture at the end of your videos 🙂

🔧🔧🔧 I remember back in school they would say "You broke my chain" but they were talking about necklaces......lol. 😅 im glad no one was hurt, chains can be replaced. I was thinking maybe the TYM could pull it, but it may not have. You could certainly try it. But that dozer is awfully heavy. Hopefully a solution can be made. Thanks for sharing, Hank! Dub and Z did great.....they're awesome!! 😎 God bless you all!

Breaking the chain was a great teaching moment, before hand you told them to always be cautions when under tension, and then they saw it. If it had not broke they may have forgotten it, but now they will remember for the rest of their lives todays lesson.🔧🔧

🔧 Glad you are teaching them being safe around those chains. I see to many people hanging around chains and cables when trying to drag things up on trailers and out of the weeds.

Hello Hank and granddaughters. I would have suggested pushing the dozer a bit from the rear in case the gearbox was stuck in place and moving the opposite direction MIGHT release tension. May not, but worth a try. Too late now as the video is out and you aren't there to try with the track loader. That would be a near free thing to try. Probably won't react differently, but wouldn't know unless you try it.

🔧Hello there. Dub sure did a very awesome job clearing a path for the dozer and if you would have had a 1978 ford f350 1 ton 4x4 stick shift truck that definitely would have pulled out the dozer along with a thicker chain

🔧 good job y'all. Great try bigger equipment and she's going to a new home no problem. Ten years of sitting is hard on anything. Good job on pulling the trailer looks like she's going to be a naturally gifted truck driver for you around the family farm to gain a little more experience lots of adults don't have this gift so hone it the best you can while this kind of equipment is available to learn on. That's a pretty surprising revelation for a new young driver kudos to you and keep up the good work.

Ok the chain should have links the size of your hand and metal the size of your wrist. :-) Think ship chain. Only need 10' and then feeders to it in more loops to build them up in value.

🔧🔧⛓🔗🔧🔧Dub hard on the chains! Hey...but I saw papaw give the old...yank it! signal lol I'd say that's one solid rig you guys are trying to move. Good driving by Dub and the commentary was spot on..."white one trying to move the yellow one" 😄 Granddaughters...like so many have said, hang out and watch, listen and learn all you can from papaw (even if it sometimes feels boring) trust me you will benefit from it as you get older in life. Any time you pull anything with a chain or rope/cable you should ALWAYS drape something over the line in case it snaps. That way if it breaks, instead of it flying off somewhere where it could either damage something or hurt somebody, the weight of the draped object will make it fall to the ground safely.

Always take shears when you know vines are going to be a problem guys. A 4 tine cultivation rake is good too as well as Gloves for vines and berries.

You have a lot of back pressure on the transmission from pulling it back. try pushing the dozer forward to take the pressure off to push the neutral stick into neutral.

Very impressed! Thank you for teaching the girls many.many things...nothing puts a smile on my face faster than watching a woman do things men think they can't or shouldn't! ..go girls!! You learn all you can...take your time ..every thing is a feather in your cap..the more you learn and know..the more your worth ...only one thing ..the skidsteer hasa foot throttle..use it! No need in high rpms .. waste of fuel..and less control..use it when you need it ! Slow and easy wins the race..dad always said you got yo crawl before you can walk..53 years later..its a great profession to be in !

I knew right from the start that the skid steer would not move that dozer. Not enough HP especially in gear. Nice try though. Your granddaughters did a great job.

well sence the "case guy" did not tell you i will. you know that little lever just below the shiftting levers. well it's a shift lock. try pulling that up and you will be able to shift it. case guy. o my.
