Nico, this was one of your smarter ideas you've made concerning your vehicles. F*ck what Damon said, he's a hater. You can't go wrong with a 911gt3. Unlike Ferrari, McLaren or Lambo. You can beat on it all day and all night long. And won't end up with dashboard lit up with warning or error lights. Also their prices are spot on, not elevated like the others. If you like working on a car or paying for another to work on it. Buy those. Buy if you want the best thrill for the money and not have in the shop 3 weeks out of the month, Buy a Porsche. A very smart decision. Just ask Mike Essa.
Damon isn’t a Porsche hater, watch all the DDE videos, but you can’t actually call a Porsche an exotic or even really a “supercar” these days (with the exception of the GT models) they are a high volume luxury manufacturer specialising in Sports coupes and convertibles, sports 4 doors and sports SUV yes they are superbly made, reliable and crazy fast but they aren’t supercars/hypercars or even “exotics”.

Dude dde "kinda" hates on Porsches but their "worst performing" gt3 videos have 700k views which is more than their Bentley videos. They also got a CGT for a while so it's not straight up hate.
Congratulations, gt3 is the best all around sports car ever made imo. The 997 4.0 rs especially. A lot of people think they are boring(no turbo, not a big enough motor, no real room to make a lot of extra power without insane money spent) but I used to drive gt3rs all the time when I used to be a Porsche tech at a dealer, and they are just butter imo. Especially the manuals, the gearboxes/clutch feel amazing…

Ive heard of a lot of engine failures and problems at the 991.1 with the 3.8 engine. The 991.2 is not rly much more but comes with the more reliable 4.0 engine
@@Jmill88 they extended the warranty, and only replaced if they failed. When replaced, they were replaced with the 4.0 liter. However, they mentioned in the video it is a 3.8...probably not replaced yet. But, it could have warranty left. Unfortunately, the engines that failed the most, were the cars that weren't driven. Given the condition of this one, seems to be set up for a potential headache if it fails after the extended warranty ends. But, there have been plenty of 3.8 liter original motors that have been fine.
The 911 is the Casio of the car world. It's not the most expensive, it's not the flashiest, but it's been around forever and it's been GOD TIER since day one. It's also mandatory in any respectable collection. Congrats brother, enjoy it in health !
@@pietrobrunati4850 Generally speaking yes, but in relation to the supercar world, it's one of the more affordable options. (At least based on MSRP, I know they can trade for immensely more on the secondary market.)
@@hksp As I stated, I can't account for the resale market because it only reflects the current status quo. That didn't used to be the case, and it may not be the case again in 5 years. Going strictly off MSRP, a 992 GT3RS can be had for about $230,000 USD, making it very affordable by supercar standards. Also, the previous generation GT3 and GT3RS can be had for under 200K, and non-GT models can even be had for under a 100k. Gotta remember that the 911 covers a very wide range of sports cars, it's not just the GT3 RS. In any case, yes I concede that it's an expensive car. But compared to its competitors, it's consistently the more affordable option.

The porshe was the smartest choice Nico. The ferrari looks and sounds great ,but you can beat the porche everyday because it won't break down. Also cheaper parts and i think easier to work on, so you got a gem of a car💪💪💪
It’s interesting how a watch guy, non mechanic, automotive journalist or nerd can make car content so entertaining. Was sceptical about this type of content when you announced it on your main channel but boy was I wrong.
Great choice! One of my all time favourites, well done, sir! It really is the best Supercar with the least vices. There are a lot of people who scoff at reliability and cost of maintanance etc with luxury or super cars..but havinng the quality, reliability is still a big part of the ownsership experience IMO and a good car makes it all the more enjoyable.
Good choice Nico lad that's a class car. I also go for comfort spec with my ones as I am to fat for the buckets. I do have a 996.2 GT3 Clubsport and the seats cut you in half so I hardly ever use it, I mainly cut about in the boxster or 997 cab all the time as they are just more comfy to be in.
DDE really look like they have had enough of Nico and were not happy with him just showing up after they avoided his calls.😅 you don't need them, Nico!!!

OMG how right you are, when you were at DDE, I was going to put a comment- just get a PORSCHE, no one said a PORSCHE until that point, the best sportscar, supercar engineered, handling, reliability for less money than most! You bought exactly the right car! I can't understand why DDE are not driving any Porsche, apart from Dave's Yellow 911 and the CGT Daman should have never sold!
That comfort spec is hilarious 😂😂. But Nico I’ve got to say this is quite the smart purchase you’ve made, buying a Lamborghini or McLaren wouldn’t have nearly given you enough value for money or joy that this 911gt3 would give.
Great job nikko, smart decisporsche is an amazing machinery in supercharged vehicles as well. You can customize them whichever way you want. And they're also scary as well. Fast, r scary.
