It must be a dream job that lad, having your own garage and the cash to do up these cheap motors and make big profit because loads of people think the cars not worth anything with major engine problems it must be like a property developer flipping houses. Keep the videos regular, mate 👊👍

Nice video, fault finding is spot on. We had this 2018 Mini cooper non runner, managed to fix all the electrical issues including new starter, only to find out that engine is seized up because of hydrolock. Car went through the massive puddle and the customer kept trying to crank it.

I'm going through the same as you with my mercedes. I've changed so many sensors parts and throttle body but still can't get it to start properly. Yet some days starts like a dream. Il be following your project hope it turns out good for you!

@@riccccccardo Your absolutely right ✅ I have a suzuki ignis 1.3 DOHC that is a brilliant little Japanese car that I could trust to take me round the world. I payed £75 for it 😆. Needed new track rods and flew through MOT. You could drop the engine in the river Thames fish it out two week later, bolt it back in and it would take me back round the world again

@@johnnymcquillan1728 I had to lemon Audi A4 2.0 TFSI b7 both engines went within 6 months oil chain pump failure. I now have a Lexus GS 450h f sport mk4 no major issues in one year ownership apart from replacing tpms sensors x4.

Take the belt off then try turning the crank. The m157 is know for the connecting rods bending though. Might be your problem.

Great video mate. Looking forward to seeing that beast brought back to its former glory. I have one as well and love it. As others have said it probably would have made sense to drain the oil and even try and crank it whilst you were waiting for the starter in the post, but with so many other cars in the shop it's understandable not to spend the time. Starter was bad regardless.

Typically when engine seizes it put to much load on the starter motor if then tried to turn over and kills the starter,same happend to my merc

I have just bought a 2010 mercedes 220 cdi auto sport. Very high mileage, but drives really well. The most annoying thing is that the radio and CD player don't work. Any ideas of a simple fix? The CD player loads but nothing else. The radio is completely dead.
