I have 4 different ecosystem tanks for my frogs. My most recent one is 3x the size of the one in this video and has a waterfall and cost me around $500 aud which is roughly $320 American dollars
As a reptile keeper I was worried when I saw the thumb nail but I must say I was impressed, you have taken care of them so well they are very lukey animals keep up the good work 😊👍
As a reptile enthusiasts with lots of terrariums I absolutely love this! So nice to see people outside of the hobby making videos about terrariums and geckos. I recommend some leaf litter to make the vivarium look more natural and give the frogs more spots to hide. Thank you for showing off your awesome creation!
The ending to this video is actually so good. Talking about how Bobby is living in a super tiny environment on a ginormous planet; no matter the case he's still important. And then it pans to the observable universe, and it hits that he was talking about you the entire time. You guys are important even if we live on a speck of dust. We have a purpose, you just have to create it yourself. Love you Ryan.
as a reptile owner, i love seeing other people build homes for and interact with these wonderful creatures. this video was so pleasant and shined a light on the beauty of nature :)
@@sparrow1407 I recommend watching RU-vidrs like Clint’s Reptiles and Wickens Wicked Reptiles, great guys who know their stuff (Clint is a zoologist). Even though they focus on reptiles they’ve talked about whites tree frogs as well. Hope this helps. ^^
@@sparrow1407 Oh and also Reptilian Garden, she is well respected in the reptile/amphibian community as well. She has an entire video on how to make a whites tree frogs enclosure.
I’ve done something like this with a small jar , I haven’t opened the lid (airtight) or done anything with it apart from give it light for 6 months , it’s thriving
I like how he said he wishes Bobby knew how important he was to the ecosystem even though the world is much bigger and that it transitioned to picture of the whole universe. Might be meaning that we are like Bobby so small yet so important to our own ecosystem. I love his sense for detail
As a reptile hobbyist this video means a lot to me. Seeing Ryan go into the world of terrariums and bioactive enclosures just warms my heart. Hopefully this video will inspire more people to enjoy the lives of different animals and maybe even get some themselves.
I’ve been a long term fan of Ryan I was here since he was doing his first penny series and I’d say this even now is one of the best videos Ryan has made it made me feel safe and comfortable and it’s a perfect video when your stressed or worried. Thanks Ryan for this I appreciate
Ryan is the one of the only people in the whole community that can make an 11-minute video on an in-home ecosystem that still hooks me so much to the video. When Ryan said that Bobby doesn’t realize how big the word is, I couldn’t stop thinking about how this video is a metaphor for how we don’t realize how big the universe is. Ecosystems are fascinating! I’m so glad you took the time to make one. It was adorable, inspirational, and the filming was cinematic and so engaging! Also, believe it or not, isopods aren't actually insects! They're CRUSTACEANS! Yup, these guys breathe with their gills, which is why they require high moisture! I've kept my own colony of them in the past and they preferred to be hidden so it was always wonderful to see them pop their little heads.
I just love how environments work, and how, say, ants find homes and how they work. It’s just so fascinating. I can’t believe I waited this long to watch this
As an exotic ecosystem keeper (i can’t call myself a reptile keeper cuz i don’t have any reptiles atm) I really like the way you approached this! People generally don’t understand that you can’t get an ecosystem in a day, you did amazing!
I’m a really big fan of aquariums and terrariums, so when I saw this I genuinely smiled because not enough people understand the process of doing this and the happiness you get if it works well
@@Fish186 omg I’m the exact same, a huge fan of aquariums and terrariums so me seeing the title of this was the most I’d ever been excited for a video lol
Amazing setup! Would be great for mouring geckos and any gecko in general. But NNNOT for frogs or toads, they need some source of water. Weather it’s from a plant similar to the bromilliad or a pond.
I can't state how happy I am he took perfect care of his animals, they had proper lighting live plants, and he successfully cohabitated two different species, something even experienced keepers can struggle to do. Thank you Ryan for showing how to properly take care of these wonderful animals
This was my favourite video tbh after watching alot of ryans videos i saw him travel across america and do so many cool things but this was beautiful hes created a life and an actual multi level home and habitat for these animals its really amazing to see
I counted how many biotic things are in this video and in total there is 14 biotic things 1.Wood 2.Moss 3.isopods 4.carrot 5.algae 6.frogs 7.fliteless flys 8.tropical plants 9.geckos 10.vines 11.rayne 12.sean 13.trees when rayne toke a walk 14.plants on rayne shelf
as a teenager i never thought i would be interested in this type of stuff, the way it comes to life each day is so satisfying, like look at bobby drinking that water. I know i probably would never be able to take care of one of these thats why its so cool to watch other people do it, please keep this updated as i would love to see it grow more often
This is actually so inspiring ❤️ I have a green anole but I feel like it does not have enough space in his tiny enclosure. I want to go give him some more plants and size up his enclosure now. ❤️❤️❤️
this is one of my favorite videos. between ryan’s conscious efforts to create the best habitat for several living things and the living things’ abilities to just coexist and be so complex and yet so small, this is an amazing demonstration of life to me. i love everything you do and stand for ryan, keep it up🤍🤍
Holy shit I know that store, Shaun is great. I bought my second lizard from him, a Frilled lizard. Raising those two help solidify what I wanted to do with my life. I moved away recently to Virginia to get a degree in wildlife biology. Shaun is a great guy and they deserve all the business they get!

Hello there! I make entertaining videos as well and I bet I can put a smile on your face ! Just see for yourself and let me know what video I should do or try next! We’ll make it to the top 1 day🌟❤️🔥🙏🏽!!
Jesus loves you all and is coming back soon! Believe in His death and resurrection and repent of your sins and be saved! Remember that He died and rose up again for you to be in heaven with Him! Have an amazing day ❤❤
Dart frogs really are incredible creatures. They may be quite small, but they have big hearts and ambition! I love seeing people exploring different things, great job you definitely know what you doing. Also just be careful, frogs (or amphibians) absorb anything through their skin. Meaning if the water is not dechlorinated and they absorb those toxic chemicals, they could get really sick. They can also get really sick if the enclosure is not clean (the isopods will help with that). You seem like you know what you doing though, but just remember if the frogs dry out, they die. On the other hand, lizards are pretty hardy. Good job comrade, and keep fulfilling your dreams❤. Also, the isopods didn't eat the carrot...the reason it smelled like death is because the carrot you tried to feed to them DECOMPOSED rather than be eaten.
I love how Ryan actually cares about the care of these animals and if they can co exist with eachother i feel like most creators will do no research and just use animals for views, but he cares about the animals enough to not put the animals he may have wanted if they cant co exist with each other.
he's actually done many things wrong here he dosen't use silicone so the spray foam adheres better to the glass he didn't let it cure for 24hrs and more
The outdo music brings so much nostalgia from the penny series. I remember staying at my grandparents’ house for the summer and watching an episode every morning right after breakfast. Your videos keep getting better, and you inspire me every time you upload. Keep up the amazing work!
In high school, we made our own ecosystems in a bottle with plants and isopods and other little decomposer insects. I was the only one who successfully made a terrarium that succeeded and it’s been three years and it is still running. It supplied its own water, and oxygen with the plant, and all that. Honestly you should do that.
This is wonderful as a first terrarium! I have some experience with these builds, as this is my hobby. I film invertebrates and other animals, as well as build terrariums. I love the fact that you love invertebrates and the flow of the video is so well done! Welcome to the hobby!
@@dudenteiwtnoET I mean the average person has the ability to retain the information they saw the first time. I've never needed to replay a video unless it has a specific joke or specific part that was mentioned in the title.
I absolutely love how random this man’s videos are! It allows him to have content freedom and hopefully never gets bored of content creation. Dude makes every single moment funny for no reason, all while we learn together!
@@YurieSnowieI’d agree, I was impressed when watching it but I feel like watching on high speed and looking in certain areas or certain actions for highlights would be generally easier than it sounds
