Not only is this one of the best Eurovision songs ever. It changed the contest when it won, taking it in a much more contemporary direction. Euphoria has been voted the best Eurovision song of all time every year except 2022 since it was performed here. Amazing reaction! 😊
Can’t believe her winning the Swedish spot for ESC was ever a question. How often do people think an artist of Loreen’s caliber comes along? It’s more incredible that she isn’t more well known. Watching from Dallas, Tx and just blown away. I can’t imagine anyone or any group will come close to her in ESC. She has it all folks!
This is not a performance, this is a whole trip. Her body, her voice, her performance, everything tells the story she is giving us. I cant stop loving this song and Tattoo.
She said that her brother trained her and made sure she was strong and prepared for this pysically required performance. She did push ups and other core excersises to be able to sing and at the same time move like this. Simply incredible how she made it look so effortless.
So to begin with, your next Loreen reaction should be "Statements" (2017), another entry she wanted to compete in the Eurovision with but it didn't win the Swedish national selection. It's quite different from these other two entries, but even more closely related to an art installation. In the national final this Saturday, she is indeed competing with Tattoo and if she wins this is also going to be her and Sweden's entry come Eurovision in May. If you want to see and react to who she's up against this Saturday, I'd recommend checking out "Air" by Marcus and Martinus and "Six feet under" by Smash into Pieces which seems to be her main competitors, although just about everyone are convinced it's Loreen's contest to win.
You're absolutely right! Loreen deserves to be held in high regard like the greats e.g. Celine Dion and ABBA. Unfortunately i feel like her management let her down after Euphoria. They didn't push her to be bigger than that one song. I hope Tattoo is the spark to make things right and catapult her into superstardom. I guess it all depends on the time after eurovision, how soon she releases new music, goes on tour and starts getting promotional gigs on talk shows etc. However, i'm not too optimistic this will actually happen unfortunately. Having followed her throughout the years, i'm not sure she even wants that kind of lifestyle/attention. She seems to be happy living fairly secluded, close to nature, and only once in a while emerge to make some art. It does sound like a peaceful life so i get why the stress of being a big star might not be that appealing to her. As a fan, i would obviously want to see her make it big, but more importantly i want her to be happy, so i hope whatever path she choses, it'll be right for her. But also, please release a new album, it's been almost six years!!!

One of my favourite memories of the Pride parade in Stockhom (Sweden) is the year this song won Eurovision. My friend and I walked behind a truck that played a lot of dance/trance songs and this song was on reapeat multiple times through out the parade. And everytime it came on, the energry levels was of the charts and everyone went absolutely crazy. We all danced like it was our last day on earth. It was so much fun and to this day it's my best memory of Pride Stockholm.
Statements is a really cool work of art. And as always not only a song. But also the acoustic version of "sober" is a veeeeery heartfelt AMAZING song. So that one is so cool and emotional!
Stumbled upon your Loreen video the other day and went to your channel in search for more reaction videos and couldn't believe there were only 3. I was a bit disappointed 😂 You seem so genuine and I like your attention to details and interest in the art and story behind the acts... When you win Eurovision you get to sing your song live all over Europe, and so there are many versions of Euphoria out there on youtube. What's really insane about Loreen is that she re-invents the song every performance, because her creativity is endless. There are many versions one might argue is a better vocal performance than this, surprisingly.
I remember seeing this on tv back in 2012 and thinking that this reminds too much of a movie "Memoirs of a Geisha" performance part I look at this now and i still think this must have been an inspiration.
I remember the first time hearing this in the first stage of the Swedish competition (Melodifestivalen). I knew immediately that she was going to win Eurovision. One interesting detail is that the writer of the song, Thomas Gson, has been around for ages, writing songs for Melodifestivalen, and pretty much always have a couple of songs competing every year. But he is known for a more old school sound. Loreen took his song and made it her own in the best way possible.
You should watch her reinterpretations of the 2 winning songs that she does as an interval act in the show the year after her win. So 2013 and 2024. Her reinterpretations are really cool as well :D

If you are, then you probably know who ABBA are - the swedish supergroup who are considered by many to be the best pop group or even the best music group of all time. They are the second best selling group of all time, only beaten by The Beatles. The reason I mention this is because, not only are they swedish like Loreen. Their big breakthrough came in 1974 when they took home Sweden's first win in Eurovision. Their entry "Waterloo" are with Loreen's Euphoria often regarded as the two best songs in Eurovision history.
