@@jeremy6193 no the storyline revolved around the brothers, Katherine and Elena story is the story of what happen to the brothers....infact Elena and Katherine are expandable, don't have to be there all the time, the brothers yes, without the brothers the show would have sense, without Elena the show has still lots of sense, and Katherine is around only partially. Nobody is arguing that Nina was an incredible actress and contribute to the success of the show, but she is the list important among the 3 of them, becuase it's a story about two vampire brothers and what happen to them from childhood through their lives. That is how the show is, and it is beautifull as it is. I don't understand why you kids, what to change the show, to fit the narrative you have in your head. Like pushing a square into a circle. You can keep saying to yourself that it fits, but it doesn't. Elena is only a protagonist in the two brothers' story, only 4 season central to Stefans, then to Damons, and she is still present in season 7 Damon's development story, and doesn't have to have the actress presence for the story to progress. So no te show doesn't revolved around Elena and the fact the Nina could go is proof of that, if she was the center of the story they would have had to end the show, they didn't. And the show is great, season 7 and 8 are fantastic, anyway.

people can still say it's stef story and all the BS, 171 ep's 171yrs, but elena stole the show, brothers did everything for her

@@boardonroad1646 yeah the Brothers, the vampires, the one that are there all the time, that is why it's called The Vampire Diaries, the multiple one Stefan's wrote for one centuries and a half, not Elena one Diary as human. The contribution to Nina to the show is not in question, but she is not the main protagonist, the center of the story around which everything run around. And the fact that the life of the brothers for a short period of time have Katherine and Elena involved, it's not all their life as Vampires.

But Nina brought the most to the show it is what it is and that's why majority stopped watching nd ratings went down while originals went up

@@jeremy6193 don't care...I like Nina, Candice ,Kat but I personally only would stopped watching if Paul would leave the show. Nina is good actress but I like her mostly as Katherine

@@jeremy6193 not the majority, a very little minority of kids, that don't understand that this show has to offer an infinity more then just romances. Season 7 and 8 are beautiful and Elena is very present, even if NIna is not but the show is about the brothers and their journey, not about Elena, that as Katherine as Lexi, were instrumental to the changes in the brothers dynamic, but they are all expandable in terms of the main story, the Stefan and Damon's story that is centre around which everything gravitate, and that is the most important, compelling, poetic and beautiful part of the show. If you don't understand that is your loss. You miss the beauty of the entire world if you never raise your head and all you can see are your shoes.

I agree about Kai being a good villain, mostly bc even though he had that brief period where he wasn’t as bad after the merge, he was still irredeemable. Curious, did you read the tvd books? I’ve seen a couple people say that’s how the books ended and Idk where or who these rumors came from but Elena didn’t end up with Stefan and Damon didn’t end up with Bonnie 😭 the ending is Elena looking at Damon, thinking he’s who she’s meant to be with, and realizing she’s home. Bonnie ends up with Zander and Caroline is married to Tyler (though I like Klaroline in the show too).

@@jeremy6193 onlyy silly children spot watching the show. o we miss them? NO, that doesn't impact on the show quality at all. Season 7 is beautifully done and is step up in term of story, acting, and cinematografy and is essential to undestand the brothers psycological profile and motivantions. So....sorry but TVD is not only the time it aired, is also after it is also now and it is one of the most watch show of television history. Very few cares about Nina leaving, it's her choice, and look what a great carreer she got after!! She is just an actress that likes having a good time, not like Ian or Paul that have another kind of gravitas. Keeping look at the past, regarding this show, it means nothing now, it's a pointless exercise like the silly girls that still looks at Ian and Nina hoping the get together again, so silly and brainless. This show was n.4 the most watched in UK again last month and because of pandemic it is again one of the most watch show around the world...Not the Originals, TVD. So ratings have changed.....

@@Patricia7561 At this point ur misunderstanding me lol I myself have repeated tvd more than a hundred times nd many people but we all repeated the earlier seosons..But I came to accept the fact originals is better than tvd it is what it is many know skipped tvd nd then went straight ahead for originals nd few came back to watch tvd I actuall forced some to watch tvd cause it's beautiful

My sentiments exactly. There was this one reactor (back in the day) that used to use clips of shows and movies to describe the feelings of different shippers. In this episode, they showed some clip of a show of crying characters with attaching the name "Delena shippers". Then they showed the dancing and partying around with a clip from the movie In & Out. "Bamon shippers". Kelvin Kline dancing to Kool and the Gang's celebration song. It was hilarious 🤣 Then there were the Jo and Alaric shippers with something devastatingly sad. I wish I remembered the reactor..but yeah, I was definitely celebrating as a Bamon shipper, back then. Lol

@@ishajac3637 No we are not thinking of the same thing actually. I'll post what I mean below but be warned there are spoilers for the series final. So if you haven't seen that then I wouldn't read what I'm about to write. According to Kai the spell used to link Bonnie's life with Elena's doesn't have ANY loopholes. But this ISN'T possible. Based on the lore of the TVD Universe ANY spell can be broken with enough magic. If I'm not mistaken Rebekah Mikaelson once mentioned this on The Originals. Kai also isn't powerful enough to potentially create spells without loopholes. Not even Qetsiyah was capable of creating spells or places without loopholes. The whole Other Side itself was created by Her but even the continued existence of that place had a loophole. Another reason why this was such an obvious loophole was the fact that Kai's spell was continuously active. We've seen such spells before and it requires the Witch or person who cast the spell to STAY ALIVE. An example if given with Bonnie at the end of Season 4. She turned Silas to stone but the effects of her spell wore off because she died. We also see this with Kai in this episode. He cloaked the container in which the Heretics were placed. But the cloak wore off because Kai himself died. So technically Kai's death should have broken the spell he cast on Elena also. The reason why this comes to bite the show in the ass is because Elena's return in the series final isn't explained. The only thing that Bonnie mentions is ''I've figured this witch thing out now'' So basically she used enough magic to break Kai's spell but this could have been done originally back when Kai first cast the spell. So the writers created this plothole to ensure Nina could exit the show. But they didn't stick with their own idea that Kai's spell didn't have any loopholes because in the series final Bonnie breaks the spell. Which in theory would be another plothole based on their previously created plothole. What makes this especially worse in the series final is the fact that the entire episode is filled with plotholes left and right. While the episode hits you in the feelings it's also one of the worst written episodes of the entire show.

I wish more people would watch shows that invoke feelings for that rather than getting Tangled in how shows are written.

@@ninipookie Feelings can also be invoked based on how well written a show is. I would have rather have Nina's exit make sense instead of creating a massive plothole that doesn't make sense. I've seen writers often do this because they think their audience is to dumb to realize the plot hole being created.

Plusssss Tvd went down after Nina left as much as people hated Elena nd I also preferred Katherine over her Majority stopped watching wen Elena died.the show wasn't the same without her it is what it is..the ratings went down as originals went up we all just came back for the ending

You're bordering on toxic excessiviness, you Delena fans are known for. Not asking you to agree with me. Not everybody will see things the same. And btw, Bamon won awards and the online fan vote for best relationship. Both Ian and Kat supported Bamon. He even posted on his social media "I'm team Bamon. Get over it."
