I caught a full team of shiny Pokémon in the Battle Tower WITHOUT hacking 

Catch location gets wiped by the Pokétransfer lab in gen 5. Some potential illegal combo’s also are possible like a starter in a different ball then the pokeball for example. Still crazy that someone actually went out of their way to gather a full team

at first I thought the "is there a murderer in here" was a sfx you had added since the cacturne had to kill your team now xD

Just guessing that the Battle Tower pokemon are programmed with the player's data because they played with the idea of swapping pokemon/rental pokemon which would have been unnecessarily annoying to code for badge loyalty

I am a massive pokemon nerd and had no idea this glitch even existed. Crazy how I can still learn new things about these games

This glitch is also good if you want high IV Pokémons, like you Cacturne have 255, 255 EVs in Atk @ Sp.Atk and all stats are 31 IVs, maybe I should try this to get an sweeper for battle frontier to make my life less measurable but you also need to get a good streak to get the 31IVs.

Okay you are a professional video editor right? Im here after finishing your Colosseum video and the editing is just phenomenal! Not to say the rest of the video isnt great too but if editing isnt your job it damn well should be.

My favorite thing about the Battle Tower in gens 3 and 4 was that you HAVE to become a master at that gens battle mechanincs (woth a dash of rng lol) to earn the ribbons. Very rewarding to see them on mons in current gen!

Never heard of this glitch before, but damn, that's pretty cool. It's amazing to me how people keep making new discoveries in this generation of games, I really would've thought that mostly everything would have been discovered by now. Can't wait to see what else we're going to find in the future!

I may be mistaken, but I believe there are glitches to catch Pokémon in the battle pyramid in emerald, which was also unintended.

iirc, you actually COULD get all the pokemon you wanted with the Lati-encounter glitch, since you could use ACE to reset the encounter. Though for that you'd need to use Emerald to generate and trade over the glitchmon required for the ACE, since RS doesn't have the Pomeg glitch. This one swears, it remembers Gen 3 being fairly stable except the cloning/erasure glitch in emerald, and now every other day it learns about more and more duct tape used to code that generation(still better than the first two though) still early in the vid though, so didn't know if you wanted to only use RS or don't like ACE or what.

I’m gonna try this and also try hunting a Pokémon from each facility in platinum, so I end up with a team of shinies. I’ve already found a beedrill in the battle castle randomly so I’ll either now hunt it normally or use pokeradar as a sort of reclaim for the team

Hello, nice to see people still using this glitch! 4:50 Back when PrimalSwampert uploaded his video, I asked him some questions in the comment section and that's where the explosion idea came from (Previously people were using Smeargle with sticky web and baton pass). I was the one who falsely assumed the explosion/self-destruct needed to kill the Lati@s, but PrimalSwampert confirmed all that really needs to happen is for you to move first and using one of those 2 moves. In gen 3, using those moves cancels the opponents turn for some reason, meaning the Lati@s can't flee and you can switch in another pokemon "for free". So really, all you need is a decent speed Electrode with Self Destruct, which makes the glitch even more accessible. 8:12 HAHAHA, that's a great way to get past RU-vid's strange censorship! 8:20 Oh yeah, I actually saw that video. I didn't realise at first that you're the same guy. Didn't know it was your 2nd shiny, neat! 9:33 The only exception being that the nature is different when you catch it. No idea why. 9:50 Yeah, it was bizzare opening my savefile in PokeHex and seeing my Latios, Latias and Metagross (All non-shiny) had hidden power Dark at base 70. Pretty sure it should be Fighting for perfect IVs. 12:19 rip. That is a sick shiny though. 19:00 That would be so painful if the repel had actually worn out and you didn't realise and encountered a regular pokemon. Nice video! I made a video about this a year or two ago after looking for a shiny and eventually found a shiny flygon with a great nature! You should do the tweak I discovered where you lose in the Tower, encounter level 40 Latios, and let the next pokemon out flee. THEN the next time you hunt in the Tower, the pokemon in the first slot becomes available! (I'm not crazy lol) Afterwhile after that, I was obsessed with doing gen 3 battles against my wife on the GameCube with Colloseum. But instead of breeding for perfect IV's I started doing this tower glitch just to get all the (hoenndex) competitive pokemon, unshiny sadly. Actually I even did the glitch for male pokemon to be perfect IV parents for breeding. But for almost as long as the Flygon shiny hunt, I've been looking for an up speed Swampert to teach Endeavor and then battle with. I even reEV'd my damp user, Poliwrath, so I can check if 2 of the 5 sets are up speed.

If only OR/AS was as lazy as BDSP, the code would be the same and we could do the same in ORAS. Anything you can do in DPPT you can do in BDSP except if its been patched manually (idk by now)
