Thanks to the phenomenal work of CappyCapital and rest of the RNG Community ( / cappycapital ) we now have a method for RNG manipulating Massive Mass Outbreaks using nothing but a Phone and a Nintendo Switch.
This method wouldn't be possible without help from the likes of Kurt ( / kaphotics , Anubis ( / sibuna_switch , Lincoln (github.com/Lincoln-LM), Zyro, Santacrab420, and Adam. Tons of people have pooled their knowledge together to make MMO RNG hunting as streamlined as possible, and I used this insane method to get myself a Shiny 5IV Alpha Scyther.

I do enjoy both kind of rng showcases you make. The ones with all mathy details of how it works are realy interesting, but videos like this are too. I'd love to continue seeing both come from your channel

Now that I just got my last legendary shiny on BDSP I've been thinking to get a shiny shinx/luxray via the chain method. But knowing that getting a shiny is kinda easier in PLA + getting this new info on the massive más outbreaks I'm 100% looking for a shiny luxray 3 IV in PLA, I'm maybe even trying this with a Gible. Thanks a lot again Jefe.

Only gripe is not seeing this video sooner. I knew about reset mechanics but didnt know there was a way to actually see the exact reset path. The research put in to fine tune this method is astonishing.

Hey Papa, great stuff my dude. Prefer your teachings, as they are clear, than others on youtube. Is it possible to RNG a Space Time Distortion to get shiny/Alpha Shiny's?

Possible, yes. Practical, no. I know people who have tried it, but because of how distortions spawn it's basically not possible. You'd be waiting around for hours/days.

Question: does this tool also work for regular mass outbreaks? In a case where I don't care about IVs and all that stuff, but just want a shiny pokemon (since the update made shiny-hunting specific pokémons incredibly difficult, I'm basically in for anything that doesn't include hacks).

Yes, it does support regular outbreaks. I'm sure Cappy has a video, but it's the same process. Just no second wave.

but how does this work with pokemon they aren't able to trigger multi battles like Standler, Petillil or Basculin. Currently I am doing Standler but how do I despawn 2 or 3 Standler if the path tells me to do it?

Bro I don't know how to say this but in all likelihood that will not stay in a strange ball. BDSP just doesn't have the old balls from legends but it's likely they will be added as one of the first think they showed off in SV is the Hisuian Zoroark.

I think it's pronounced as if you were saying scissor because the theme for this pokemon and it's family is like Rock (Kleavor), Paper (Scyther), Scissors (Scizor)

@@kvatch Yeah it's doesn't make a lot sense. Maybe Scyther will have a paper based evolution in the future. That way you have to choose rock, paper or scissors when evolving it.

@@ELZOOL12 I think it's more likely that scyther has scythes, kleavor has cleavers, and scizor kind of has scissors. Except they look nothing like scissors. I think the rock paper scissors thing is a fun coincidence though

I believe sometimes an outbreak won’t have a specific 5+ IV mon, I’ve been doing this method with some mons and sometimes it won’t get me any pathways to a 5 IV mon, but other outbreaks will, so try to get a regular shiny if thats the case, you can always bottle cap them in the future

I don't think you can do that with Unown cause they are timid pokemon and they tend to runaway instead start a battle with you. And as far as I know, you can use this method only with aggressive pokemon

Not really because theoretically you could save before triggering the Massive mass outbreak and attempt every possible route and get shinies that way, I tried it with a Luxray mass outbreak and it worked, the only time a shiny luxray would spawn is if I battled all 4 Luxrays simultaneously. This method simply has you running all the permutations (routes) in the background and provides a route to get shinies that way.

@@shinyhntr4878 That's just a personal opinion. If a new method that uses an in-game mechanic to achieve something faster that's innovation. If someone discovers a drug that can exploit how a virus works to neuter it b4 it damages a body that's innovation. If there's a way to analyze pre-existing code to do something faster so I can work longer hours without beating myself up over how many shinies I'd be missing out on that's also convenient. And again it's all down to opinion, in my own opinion straight up coding in pokemon as opposed to resetting for a legit mon are two different things. I could spend 10 hours tapping the same 8 buttons waiting for a shiny jingle or.... not do that.

@@JoFo-cl6ro I don’t care how people have their fun, I’ve been friends/in papa jefes community since sword and shield launch, he’s always been the king of non-cfw. Unfortunately, legends arceus will likely never have an alternative because of how the Pokémon stats are generated. Jefe literally has a video deleting a shiny alpha garchomp obtained the same way, but now since everyone’s bored of Pokémon, this is now cool lol

Yeah this RNG is definitely a one-and-done for me. It's just too easy. However, the work Cappy and crew have put in to make this easy, free, and available to anyone with a Discord account and a Switch is very impressive. I haven't played Arceus since MMO's came out, so the HOME update was a perfect chance to try it out, and get a competitive mon in a cool new ball. It's fundamentally the same as Raids to me, and even my original Shiny Raid Charizard was from before we had seed calculators. I opened my save up in CFW to get the seed, and I still kept that Zard (along with every other Raid Shiny I used for VGC). While it's not my preferred way to RNG, I'll dabble in the dark side occasionally 🌚

Honestly, what’s the point of going for it shiny as well. if you’re gonna cheat may as well just get 6 iv instead. Kinda wack how the cfw rng community takes advantage of people with less knowledge on it. Everyone acts like they’re a shiny hunter meanwhile they just read a code on a screen and watch animations. It’s not rocket science either I could teach a 10 year old to do this so the “it saves time” excuse is lame. If you were worried about comp battling then yeah it saves time but no you just wanna flex your cheat shiny collection lol

For what it's worth, I agree this particular RNG is both easy and borderline cheating, considering how free shinies in this game are to begin with, along with the bot trade requirement. You made the distinction of saying "cfw rng," which implies that you might not feel the same about non-CFW RNG (which is primarily what I do anyway.) The truth is, I probably could have gotten this faster (without CFW) using BDSP. However, the Strange Ball was new and I wanted to give this a try. Hell, I probably would have gotten a Shiny Scyther or two in the 3-4 hours I spent getting a Scyther MMO with an Alpha Bonus wave. The whole point was to give the spotlight to the work Cappy and the rest of the CFW RNG community have done. Whether you feel it's cheating or not, this wouldn't be possible without hours of research and development. Hard for me to see how this is "taking advantage" of anyone when it's completely free to use...

@ no need to explain yourself mate. Keep up the good work. People will have opinions on these things when the competitive scene and nationals are proven to have hacked pokemon. if someone wants to play their game in this manner at this point it is what it is. I literally have teams that can take down a full hacked legendary team without hacked pokemon. If anything it pushes for more legit creative teams.
