In the script, he does put a kitchen knife in his jacket pocket before he goes to see Darrien! But he loses his nerve and then Darrien basically takes his jacket off of him and hangs it up. So, he went there to confront him and maybe even kill him. Then, after he leaves and he’s panicking, he calls his mom, but she doesn’t pick up. So he listens to nice messages from Martha for comfort.
Oh did he mention that in an interview or are the script ls available somewhere?? That's what i was thinking. I wish they would have shown him grabbing the knife. But i do love that they decided to show him go straight for the Martha recording to show that she is still his escape for what happened to him. This show was so interesting to watch.

Loved your reaction vids for this show! So glad I found it! Definitely think he was addicted to all the attention both good and bad he got from her. The story insinuated that he probably never had a close relationship with his father growing up and, due to reasons we only found out in this episode, probably quite cold to Donny as a little boy. Maybe why he kept going back to Darren even though he blew hot and cold in the beginning, he was desperate for the attention and approval of a father figure but instead fell victim to a manipulative predator. Then Martha comes along and gives him all the attention and approval straight away, she comes to him.
Omg you are so right. Darren probably felt like a father figure to him he was seeking approval from 😭 im so happy his father opened up him in the end and they were able to repair their relation ship! And im really glad you enjoyed my reaction. 😄 hopefully I see you around

@lisakay1037 Human Centipede is....something else...its not like other horror where theres like a gross monster or guslts out. Its putting yourself in their poaition that feels fucked up. Its the setting. But if youre not ready dont watch it 😆😆 if horror isnt your jam im working on non horror stuff for september.
15:58 he played a compliment clip, not angry one. ofcurse he go back to confront him, he had a PANIC ATTACK after got out, just in that place with the abuser, he failed to do what he came here to do, so he needed some compliments at that moment. i dont care about Martha in ep1-6, but this episode made me feel a bit sorry for her bc i can relate that some childhood trauma stuck with you forever whether you want it or not.
Yeah since the angry one is the firet one i tought thats what he clicked. My brain rememvered that one. For me that last part made me understand the obsession she had a little better, and i love your point of view on that, we all have different past and we all see things a little different and see each other differently because of it. ❤ thank you for sharing that.
