I personally have a soft spot for this movie despite me myself not having seen any episodes that weren’t Treehouse of Horror. I have quite a few laughs whenever I see this movie.

The Simpsons did a Death Note paradoy in October last year, they even got the animators from the Death Note anime to animate it.

I always felt that The Simpsons movie starts off feeling like an episode of the show and shifts into a movie format at the dome. It almost feels like its an intentional pacing shift

Fun fact: Nail bullets IS REALLY A THING. They exist as 0.22 caliber blanks which are used to drive steel nails into concrete or iron. It is used in a literal single shot nail gun which requires the blank to create the compression force with air to drive the nail into those materials.

The woman at the end of the intro is Ayanna Wade. You've seen her a few times, like in the commercials and Alvin and the Chipmunks reviews. She played Harley Quinn in the Suicide Squad video and Beverley in the IT video
