I'm Steph a twenty-something MTF Transgender RU-vidr.
This is a short but much needed video discussing why I don't identify as being "Female" and why that's never been my goal! I hope you like it! Quick Disclaimer, I am not looking for advice on how I choose to label myself. This is a video saying that I personally don’t identify as biologically female. It may not be your opinion, but let’s not try and silence another trans persons voice… #female #mtf #transgender

What I have noticed is that those Transwomen that embrace that they are trans and that they still have genetic internal parts that work in them like they do in me is their mental health is 100% better that those that do not like something about themselves. They give off an energy of being okay with the world. Thank you for the inspiration from one human to another.

This is something that I've spent a long time trying to figure out myself as well. I've always felt uncomfortable when I use spaces labelled as 'female', such as the locker rooms at my work because I am acutely aware that although I know it's the best and safest place for me, I will never truly 'belong' because I am not female and never will be. I am also proud to be a trans woman, and I wear my identity and experiences proudly on my sleeve ❤️🥰

Just my thoughts. If you present as a woman then you are no different to me. You're a biological male, I'm a biological female of course, but we are both presenting and living as women.

Some cis women see us as competitor, I am 63 years, 17 months in transition and despite my age, some cis women see me as the predator that can destroy their family, as you I am only trying to survive. Very often I need to explain that because of the HRT I am not sexually active, also I noticed that men see us as something exotic and try to make contact to me.

I definitely appreciate what you're trying to say (even if I don't fully agree), but this is nuance that the "GC" movement isn't going to get.

I love this, it’s great to be able to appreciate what other’s are communicating despite our own opinion and while the “GC” movement aren’t going to get this, it’s my channel, my space to share my experience with my identity something that differs from person to person 🥰

Thank you. I think you just articulated what a lot of trans women (not everyone of course) are thinking and feeling but are afraid to admit to themselves. And I will admit I have struggled with this for a long time. But in fact once you realize you aren't really trying to be anyone but yourself, that the 'trans' in trans woman means you're becoming closer to who you are and not becoming female per se, then it's truly liberating. But if you try to become something you can't be, you'll never be yourself.
@stephanielynnette

I could not have articulated my point on this better myself! What a beautiful way to have put this. I am so glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you so much for watching!

You're welcome! And thank you for your kind words.😃 I don't think I said it better than you or any other trans woman, but I do hope that what I said may strike a chord with those who struggle with their feelings and wonder who they really are. I think that makes the journey hard enough. It doesn't have to be made harder by feeling you have to be something you were not born as or feeling that you have to identify with and be accepted as a woman. I have to admit that I still struggle with this so I am inspired by you because you seem so powerfully confident in who you are. Come to think of it, I want that more than I want to be a natal woman!

i've struggled with this because, there's enough trans people in my circles that don't think the way you do and trans people who don't actively voice their own opinion. and it has made me uncomfortable to voice my opinion. there was a time where i tried to be male pretty hardcore (*of course there's no trying to be anything, but it's hard to describe that feeling)... but i've calmed down quite a bit and try to find middleground within myself. our bodies dont make us less or more of anything, it's just something about who we are

I'm a woman and I struggle to understand what these spaces are that trans women are trying to occupy that they "shouldn't." Spaces, to me, is just nonsense internet jargon. Right now I'm sitting on a chair on my veranda. If I get up for a minute and you jump into my chair you would be in my space. If I'm standing in line and you stand to close then you would be occupying my space. Obviously gender, biology or anything else has no bearing on either of those scenarios. I'm genuinely asking. What spaces are you referring to?
