And if Drummond had signed with the Clippers or Nets, he'd say he was trash, just like he did when PG didn't sign with the Lakers, and went to the Clippers, and when Kawhi didn't sign with the Lakers, all of a sudden he wasn't that good. Griffen is basically a spot up shooter. He’s a shell of himself physically. He can’t guard lebron or kuzma at his current state. Aldridge however is a solid pick up. ABig man who can pass,shoot and atleast be a big body defender in small amounts.

Another way is just be the more physical team. But I hear Aldridge will be their starting C. He's 6'11 and strong. As big and strong as Drummond but with range. Nets have the height as LMA, DJ, and KD are 6'11.

@@top10greats71 small ball is not about 3 ball, small ball is about having 5 players on the court who are skilled in the perimeter. Lakers most skilled player happens to be 6'9 Lebron James, than a 6'11 AD, than a 6'3 Schroder, than a 6'10 Kuzma, than a 6'5 KCP. You could have Harrell who is 6'7 to be part of the defensive unit in the small ball line up and since KD or Green don't know how to defend pick and roll they might be in trouble.

Kerr came in and freed up the offense and progressively took the ball out of Steph's hands and put it in Dray's, doing wonders for both. He realized players like David Lee were a dying breed, while guys like Dray were much more valuable. He did things almost completely different from what Mark Jackson was doing. I'm not saying he's the GOAT or anything, but he definitely took that team to the next level.

This is a probably a LeBron hate comment from you, but I will entertain it. LeBron doesn’t make “role players” better, but make there job on the court easier. Now a “super star” player like Anthony Davis doesn’t really need to sacrifice, while getting leadership and all around help from LeBron in all aspects. Role players are role players for a reason. They have way more limited options in there game they can go too and it becomes a problem when they try to step outside of their strengths.
