With my X1 Carbon I’ve had a single issue and when I reached out to get support it was a 24h turn around. There are also 3rd party parts appearing. Gone though 8 rolls of filament and only had it for a couple weeks now. Love the AMS as if you have two rolls of the same filament and one runs out it auto switches to the spare roll.
After a couple resin print failures printing injection molds I had a go at printing them FDM with PLA like the The Neverending Project List. They printed and injected fine - I’m home use so not doing any volume. The lures have a dull finish but do the fish care? The P1P would be great for fast, low cost and almost hands off prototypes. I’d be really interested in seeing how other materials print and then shoot. PETG was a failure for me with the plastisol just sticking to the mold. Love your videos. Keep up the great work! 👊
a good clear should do the trick, I have been dunking them in Polycrylic water based clear to make sure I get all the cracks and crevasises and it seems to work well.
Yo. I am thinking of using TPU doe doing some stencils. I know you dabbled with this. What TPU did you use and was the printer a bowden tube or direct?
It was my direct drive but I have printed TPU on the P1P and it performs perfectly. I will have some TPU content coming soon for sure. I have been using ProtoPasta TPU and the MicroCenter Store brand TPU. I found getting the 95a shore hardness makes it a little easier to work with.
