In this video I explain five steps that should be taken when aiming to overcome chronic digestive issues (including SIBO, IBS, or other functional gut disorders).
I tried countless protocols and spent thousands £££ on protocols which didn't work.
It was only when I discovered the root cause, that I finally managed to regain gut health. So I started testing it out in my clients several years ago, and in many cases, it actually worked!

1. Give your gut a rest. Do a fodmap, low carb or carnivor diet. Or fast. 2.fix gut mobility. Meditation, relaxing, exercise, take vitamin b1, cdp choline, vitamin b5. Also sauna helps. 3. Improve digestive out put with apple cider vinegar or betaine hcl, or bile salts 4.if above didnt work, do an antimicrobial supplement. This is a individulized protocol depending on your bacteria overgrowth. 5. Colostrim, buyterate to heal If all didnt work you may have mold or thyroid issues.

I can confirm that this is a well researched video. I had gut issues for years and the only thing that helped me was keto + intermittent fasting + betaine hydrochloride + digestive enzymes + apple cider vinegar. I started with keto and fasting gradually increasing the fasting window, until I got to the point of OMAD (22/2), which I did for a year. Then I carefully added the other stuff, one thing at a time. Yes, I lost a little more weight than I wanted, but my overall health drastically improved. My acne dissappeared too. Now, I've been experimenting with adding a little bit more carbs and so far so good. Please be aware that issues like this take time to figure out. The above journey took me almost 4 years. Not to mention the 10 years prior to the Keto/IF. I'm still learning. Good luck all! ✌️

In general there’s no need to stick to a diet that long btw. Most guts will calm down in anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks of strict diet and fasting before you can slowly start to introduce foods again. The steps you mentioned are good though
@kevindsouza7844
@kevindsouza7844 7 месяцев назад
@@stebbey6006 Sadly this is incorrect. It can take much longer time on a FODMAP diet to have things calm down, sometimes they never will unless supplementation is used
@stebbey6006
@stebbey6006 7 месяцев назад
@@kevindsouza7844 well fodmap is only part of the healing process. But you’re right the full healing process can take longer, depending on the severity. Some people heal within 2-3 weeks. For others it can take months. If you’re not healing within months you’re probably not using the right approach. I suggest starting at the base, checking for stomach acid levels wether you need betaine+pepsin or not. If those are fine look for gallbladder issues(cos gallbladder issues can also come from low stomach acid). Most SIBO and leaky gut issues are also caused from issues with stomach acid or gallbladder as there’s not enough acid to kill off bacteria. One thing that helps really really well with SIBO is ginger extract and artichoke extract to get the gallbladder running and flush out those excess bacteria.

@@suew4609 what do you mean by "small fiber neuropathy"?
@suew4609
@suew4609 4 месяца назад
@@seb5587 Small fiber peripheral neuropathy (SFN) is a type of peripheral neuropathy that occurs from damage to the small unmyelinated and myelinated peripheral nerve fibers. These fibers, categorized as C fibers and small Aδ fibers, are present in skin, peripheral nerves, and organs.[1] The role of these nerves is to innervate some skin sensations (somatic afferents) and help control autonomic function (autonomic fibers). Small fiber peripheral neuropathy is a type of peripheral neuropathy that occurs from damage to the small unmyelinated and myelinated peripheral nerve fibers. These fibers, categorized as C fibers and small Aδ fibers, are present in skin, peripheral nerves, and organs.[1] The role of these nerves is to innervate some skin sensations (somatic afferents) and help control autonomic function (autonomic fibers). It is estimated that 15-20 million people in the United States have some form of peripheral neuropathy.[2] Sudomotor dysfunction is one of the most common and earliest neurophysiological manifestations of small fiber neuropathies. Sudomotor function refers to the autonomic nervous system control of sweat gland activity in response to various environmental and individual factors. You sweat too much or not enough. This can be dangerous. In some instances, the small fibers of the autonomic nervous system can be affected, leading to urinary or bowel problems, episodes of rapid heartbeat (palpitations), dry eyes or mouth, or abnormal sweating. They can also experience a sharp drop in blood pressure upon standing (orthostatic hypotension), which can cause dizziness, blurred vision, or fainting. Small fiber neuropathy is considered a form of peripheral neuropathy because it affects the peripheral nervous system, which connects the brain and spinal cord to muscles and to cells that detect sensations such as touch, smell, and pain. Insensitivity to pain can be particularly problematic. One may be bleeding or have a skin injury without even knowing it. The above is from Wikipedia. Personally, I have gut motility problems which can be a cause of SIBO. I have been experiencing burning, shooting, and stabbing, along with numbness and tingling in my skin and extremities. Most people have large fiber neuropathy, like the neuropathy that you get from diabetes. SFN in my case is idiopathic, they don;t know what causes it. I have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and that can be a cause. I also have times when my heart pounds and I have palpitations. The autonomic nerves that SFN attacks, control the systems in your body that are automatic, you don;t have to think about them for them to work; like breathing, bowel and bladder emptying, heart function, sweating, your organ function, and more. I’m sure this is more than you wanted to know, but you asked😁

It is estimated that 15-20 million people in the United States have some form of peripheral neuropathy.[2] Signs and symptoms Small fiber neuropathy is a condition characterized by severe pain. Symptoms typically begin in the feet or hands but can start in other parts of the body. Some people initially experience a more generalized, whole-body pain. The pain is often described as stabbing or burning, or abnormal skin sensations such as tingling or itchiness. In some individuals, the pain is more severe during times of rest or at night. The signs and symptoms of small fiber neuropathy can occur at any point in life depending on the underlying cause. Individuals with small fiber neuropathy often cannot feel pain that is concentrated in a very small area, such as the prick of a pin. However, they have an increased sensitivity to pain in general (hyperalgesia) and experience pain from stimulation that typically does not cause pain (allodynia). People affected with this condition may also have a reduced ability to differentiate between hot and cold. Sudomotor dysfunction is one of the most common and earliest neurophysiological manifestations of small fiber neuropathies.[3] In some instances, the small fibers of the autonomic nervous system can be affected, leading to urinary or bowel problems, episodes of rapid heartbeat (palpitations), dry eyes or mouth, or abnormal sweating. Insensitivity to pain can be particularly problematic. One may be bleeding or have a skin injury without even knowing it. From Wikipedia . Personally, it causes a lot of pain, and affects my heart rate, how I sweat or don’t sweat, and the motility in my stomach doesn’t work, right. Meaning food is in my stomach for way too long and then slowly moves into my colon. That’s why I don’t think this diet will necessarily help me. But I need to lose weight, too, so that’s why I’m trying it.

All were treating me for IBS and SIBO and never looked at the cause, and kept on suffering. Then finally I got diagnosed with gastroparesis. Somehow I was delighted that they finally found the cause, even though it’s the most debilitating disease to have. @@patrickjuan7072 I have BAM from ileitis due to crohn's, doing BPC-157, and am very conscious about my light environement (48th lattitude's autumn means I can't get much natural sunlight so it's mostly about limiting the damages). Got some histamine intolerance along the way but I've mostly dealt with that with DAO, copper biglycinate, and B complex (while still waiting for P5P to arrive). Other than that no more gut troubles, and I even have days where my health is near perfect. Of course this is very specific and not something I'd recommend to everybody. Add to that the taurine and glycine I take, as well as MSM although that one is mostly unrelated, and recently I've been giving methylene blue a shot, and while it seems to be helping I'm not sure how much of it is just due to its effects as a MAOI. And a few 3 days fasts here and there. Of course I could just take some fiber like psyllium husk to bind the bile acids, but that's just masking the problem, not fixing it.

@@lindapelle8738 im only learning these. All these are highly individual. I tried Gallmet, it has 100mg ox bile per capsule and it caused issues. But it has herbs as well(no one asked for those). The important is to take bile supplements with capsules that resist stomach acid. You don't want alkaline stuff in your stomach with meal. If you dont have bile supplement in proper capsule, then maybe it is better to take it before or after you eat, but to me this is far from optimal, it can be difficult to time properly.

I've been on this journey for decades due to mainstream medical quackery (was indirectly fed antibiotics in the womb, given to my mother while pregnant with me ... and then more toward the issues it caused me as a child ... then more as a young adult ... stronger and stronger antibiotics ... for years). Not to mention the foods they promote that make us so sick. So I've tried a lot of things, supplements and various ways of eating. Currently IF and carnivore and learning so much with that (like, uh, we do need some veggies and fruits ... the need for supplementing with electrolytes is a hint). One thing I'm learning is not to just ignore feeling not-quite-right after eating. Swedish bitters helps. As does sauerkraut and manuka honey. I used to take B5, but it seemed to cause hair loss (probably causing an imbalance with the other B's and/or already having a deficiency in those). So I heard one guru speak of B1 not long ago, and got a little bottle of it (and old brand, solgar). I think a took it a time or two, and then stopped (might have not felt great afterward). I'm wondering now if I should give it another try or toss it. I do take a good quality, "raw" b complex (GOL) and feel I do well on it.

Hi Elliot, I've developed and been diagnosed with IBS, which I've never previously had. The symptoms range from loose stool, to bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort and chronic hemorrhoids. These all came on about 3 years ago when Covid was first starting, and I developed a hermit lifestyle staying in. I drank about a liter of coffee a day and had a pretty consistent drinking habit. I also had the worst anxiety of my life and developed alopecia. Even though I learned to manage the anxiety and the alopecia eventually died down, the changes to my gut and digestion persist. I am usually in some form of discomfort every day despite eating a healthy diet of whole foods and exercising 3 times a week. I'm at a loss on what to do and at this point I just want to be normal again. There's so much information to navigate in this field and I have no idea where to start, as I don't even really know what's causing the IBS..

Almost exactly my predicament . One thing that really helped me is fulvic acid and zeolite by truestone. Trying to fix my gut left me with some issues that I assume was from histamine from the probiotics. So that made my stomach flare up and burn. So I bought licorice root and made a tea along with aloe Vera formula and got instant relief. Also tried eating a low histamine diet and soon to try some histamine free probiotics. I personally believe everyone started to get sick when covid happened because our water, food and air supply has been poisoned for years. Naturally we all accumulated heavy metals and toxins in our systems and then in 2020 they introduced 5g. So what happens when you microwave metal? That’s what’s happening to us. The heavy metals are fucking up our gut and creating an environment for parasites and inflammation. The fulvic acid and the zeolite bind and remove the toxins out the body. Helped me a lot but still figuring out certain gut flare ups.
