I love how Cash is just as appreciative of a $1,750 apartment as he is of a $1.75 million one. Every one has it plusses and minuses and he's totally fair about all of it. He's no snob, you've got to applaud him for that. And it's a pretty great apartment for the price.

I know that block! During covid it was so quiet. Had no clue there was a business in the house. Super small place but they absolutely maximized every inch of space. Those plants are gorgeous! & definitely cheap compared to prices in actual stores. & the dog, can we talk about how well behaved he is if there's so many people going in & out?

Nice to see an apartment in Queens again, feels like it's been ages! (Please show more, lol.) Very creative of Eric with how they've been maximizing their space for both living and their plant business (which it's nice to see is doing well), and sounds like it was a good deal for $1750, with a great kitchen (save for the vent's location) and bathroom too. Astoria/LIC is definitely a nice part of the city to be in, I'm a sucker for the "small town vibe in the big city" there, and the commute into Manhattan being so easy is definitely a plus.
@sinash
@sinash Год назад
Hmm... a bit cluttered for me BUT it really works for them! I like the idea of the thriving plant business in the apartment. Where there is the will, there will be the way! I'll support them! You really can't complain about $1800/month with all utilities included--at least the water, in the rent. Also, that's a larger kitchen than many of the places that we've seen previously. My only concern would be the distance and ease to reach Manhattan proper. Excellent job, gentlemen!
@MamaCarola1
@MamaCarola1 Год назад
It's really convenient to Manhattan. It's only 4 blocks to the N train & 2 stops in2 the city (59th & Lex) or you can go down to 21st street & get to the F train at Queensbridge, again only 2 stops in2 the city at 63rd & Lex but it is more of a hike to that train but you could get a bus to the train

The 'Pink Princess' pothos is a rare chimera which means genetically it is TWO plants in one hence the unusual variegation. Thornless raspberries and blackberries are chimeras where the outside of the stalks are the thornless part of the plant. There are human chimeras and they are rare. It explains occurrences of people who have mixed genetics originally from two individuals early in the pregnancy such as nonidentical twins exchanging or depositing cells or from one individual early in the pregnancy having a mutation or gaining/losing a chromosome. There are people who go through life and never find this out. We all start out as female and then if you have a Y chromosome it asserts itself - usually.

I am so late to the party here in this great apartment! That six-foot four plant is such a great deal! I live here in Central Florida in unincorporated Lakeland, Polk County for over thirty-two years, and the price for that same tropical plant you pointed out is over two hundred dollars for a smaller size, so I know that even without checking the size you have is over three hundred to three hundred and fifty dollars. It's funny coz one would think that that tropical plant would not really survive New York winter temps, even with running the heat, of which I have never turned on our central heat in the eleven years we have lived in our house that we rent, coz we get so few really cold days. If we do get cold, we turn the air off and turn on the oven in the kitchen to 200 and leave the oven door open halfway and it heats the whole house within a couple of hours, and then we decrease the temp to 100 degrees which is the bread warmer temp. We don't leave it on over five to six hours and never at night. We have not had to do this more than three times in the eleven years we have been here so that is excellent in our opinion. Our house is a cinder block three-bedroom, one bath with a screen room off the kitchen, carport and our front yard and the fenced in back yard that has a twenty-four foot drop off into the canal is a nice size, not big but not small...just right and yes if you are wondering the canal does have three maybe four alligators and bull frogs galore so when it's mating season, back to back for these creatures it is very noisy at night and early morning hours with them doing their mating calls. Besides the canal there is about six to seven lakes, within two miles from our house. We are zoned for farm animals, so on our street there are chickens, roosters, a donkey and three goats, but even so our street is quiet most of the time. I was shocked when you said the rent for the apartment was $1,700. our rental home is $1,195. a month, and we do pay for electric and water, of which our air is on auto, set for seventy degrees all year long, when it does get cold the air does not come on, and our bill is never over $ 159.00 in the winter months, and never over $185.00 in the summer. This is because it is well insulated, and Lakeland Electric is owned by the city, can never be sold out from under Lakeland, and it is also the cheapest electric and water in all of Florida. Lots of cities in Florida charge for electric, and then the water is separate, and you pay thru the nose for it and from what I have been told the water bill is higher than the electric cost. Bartow where my oldest daughter lives do this, the saving grace is that they have well water, yes and it stinks coz it's Sulphur well water, because they live in a rural area, the water soften filtration system does not take the smell out of the water, and yes, it is safe to drink the water even thou it smells like rotten eggs. All in all, not having to pay for city water is a god send, except when hurricanes knock out the plastic pipes above ground that carries the water to the house like the last one, we had that was a Cat 3 when it roared thru Polk County. Not sure why they didn't put up housing over the plastic pipes, before, but they now have a sturdy housing to keep the pipes from being snatched out the ground, forcing them to go without running water in the house for a good little minute until the pipes were fixed...I think it was maybe two three days at the most that they had to buy bottled water to drink, bath and cook with. They went one day without power, and we went almost five days without power coz we live in unincorporated Lakeland. I keep all my tropical plants in the screen room. My Paddle Plant when I bought it was just one plant, now it has turned into five plants, with a couple of baby plants I noticed this morning when I watered. I will be giving my granddaughter both the baby Paddle Plants, as the other one I gave her died, from not enough water! When I gave her the other one that died, I said water it when the soil an inch down is dry, don't over water. She told me at the beginning of this month when we were at Home Depo that it had died. I asked her did she water it, she said yep, but it died. I looked at her and said did you stick your finger down about an inch and see if the soil was dry? She said yep but it died MieMei. How often did you water it, Lilly? Once a month.... I rolled my eyes and said that's why it died! Outside it is usually eighty to eighty-seven degrees during the day, and low sixties at night in the winter months so you need to water plants just slightly less often than in the summer when temps hit ninety to one hundred and five during the day and high eighties at night. We get only maybe four days to one week when it is cold well to us it is......The temps on cold days are anywhere from fourty- seven to fifty-five, day and night fourty to maybe thirty degrees. I have seen it get in the low twenties a couple of times in the last thirty-two years. Usually, the cold days are not all in a row, just a cold day and then two weeks of eighty degrees, then back to having a couple of cold days followed by several weeks of eighties again. Now last year we did get a solid week of cold days. I do have to laugh though, I will be watching Bay News 9 out of Tampa and the weather guy will say we are going to have a cold front roll in overnight, expect low sixties in the morning, and by nine AM seventies and topping out at seventy-nine to eighty degrees. Of course on the really cold days we get told that we are expecting freezing weather cover your outdoor plants...Temps are forties during the day and thirties to maybe high twenties, and yes, I do cover my plants. I love the apartment, it would be just right for me and my husband, since all our four children are married and have their own rented homes, well one lives in a triple wide mobile home. Thank you for your great video's I love them!

G'mornin 'Cash, apparently some folks do want to live in Queens. I stand corrected. That plants business was awesome. Were some of them 'illegal' ?? That would explain the mobs of people patronizing that apartment and the noise they made while being shoeless. The dog and the quirky chandelier said it all. I want to go there for a string of pearls I never knew existed except in a swing band's repertoire. Sayonara!!
