From Base Set (including No Rarity), Neo, VS, e-reader, through to Diamond and Pearl, Black and White, X and Y, plus Sun and Moon - this is by far one of the best Japanese Pokemon Card Stores!
Alternate Arts, Base Set Holographic cards, Promos - if you're a Pokemon Card Collector, or just trying to fill your binder with cards, look no further than Toreca Camp in Nagoya. Card shop is a much bigger business in Japan, just look how much their stocks worth. Not to mention they have malls of card shops, so each of them can specialize in one franchise. Just magnificent to watch.😊

I was in Tokyo over New Years and we did the same thing. Just went shop hunting. But prices are just so expensive. I would have bought so much more if prices had been a bit better and thats with the difference in yen to the us dollar. This shop was insanely good though. Too bad it's in Nagoya but good to note in case I travel thru the country again. Great vid

I got my psa 10 mela sir in the mail. It's a psa 10 but has damage on the top of the card! The damage is even on the scan on the site I just didn't look hard enough before buying. Remember people, buy the card not the grade. (Even though that's the whole point of grading in the first place) ah well.

Prices are okay. I'm happy to trust a store like that I'll get what I'd want so it's fine paying a tiny bit extra from trusted sellers. Its an experience that store so well worth it. I'll often sell PSA 9 raw Japanese quality raw because end of the day there just isn't really any premium on those old back holos mint raw or in a 9 after a grading fee.

So I don't really love the whole investing aspect of Pokemon TCG. However, people love to poke holes into all alternative investing, whether it is crypto, tcg, or kind of forex. (I call forex an alt investing just from the sheer amount of amateur investors on social media.) Yes, at any moment, Pokemon International can reprint the hell out of anything. However, there are patterns and soft rules that occur in Pokemon TCG. Can Pokemon at a moment's notice reprint the hell out of Evolving Skies? Yes. Have they ever traditionally reprinted the hell out of an old, out of rotation set? Not really. (This is also not to say go full blown into Evolving Skies. Just pointing out the pattern from past cycles.)
