I found it kind of extra funny because Bob Ross was actually in the military. Which surprised me because he's such a pacifist, I guess the life wore on him; he was a drill sergeant and apparently decided he didn't like screaming horrible things at people and decided to make a gentle painting TV show. It's a really weird character arc, but it makes the range gag funnier, as well as the dual wielding of a Bob Ross wig and a UMP.

Haha I Loved this video! During his video game action scene, Matt’s running with a loaded gun, speed vaults over the table, then gets right into stance firing down range. I pray that if (or when) that table gives out it makes for a funny (non lethal) blooper!
@@disengageddanny9331 its also not very accurate and or deadly from at least 30-40 feet, at most it hits you like an airsoft gun and breaks some skin and gets stuck.
You gotta use the solid head ones. I think I saw that the lego heads you’re using are the revamped ones with air holes in the stud on top (for when children swallow them and they get stuck in their throats they can still breath) It might work better with the older solid head ones

Assuming he only pushed these lego heads in the casings, I wonder if using a bit of superglue would allow the powder to build up more pressure, probably not enough for cycling rounds but I'd be curious to see the difference.

As a Canadian who has access to everything but Full-Autos, I'm envious as well. Now being allowed the full auto choices eliminates a lot of nice fire power.

I grew up on AZ so all my cousins have big collections. I live on the east coast in MA so Guns are not really part of our culture kinda like AZ or Tennessee or even Maine. As there's not much hunting here. So I'm usually not that into guns. But I randomly ran across this channel and it reminded me of how much I used to enjoy shooting. My first experience with a gun was actually with the Boy Scouts at a camping Jamboree. The military was also on site doing some war games. They had all their gear out and had blank rounds. Being at the ripe age of 10 I got the fire and M16. I enjoyed it so much my friends dad took us to the shooting range the following weekend to teach us how to properly handle a gun. I ended up shooting every weekend that summer. Just a 22 rifle but it was a lot of fun. I haven't shot in over 25 years now. I think I might hit up our local range this weekend. Thank you for the inspiration. I had to shoot with my friends dad because my parents were not gun people. In fact I had to hide it from them. They didn't know I spent my whole summer shooting until after I graduated college. I fly fish and am always looking for fly tiring materials. But they are expensive unless you hunt them your self. So I'm thinking of getting a 22 for birds and small mammals. I so know how to dress as I have been bow hunting few times. I know my screen name people probably think a Dead head they don't shoot or hunt. Well most of us home stead and hunt and fish. You would be surprised. Most of my hippie friends live in Tennessee because of the gun laws and the amount of land . Same with Maine and Vermont. Next time you see a hippie know they might not have a revolver or pistol but they most likely have a rifle and a shotgun. Especially if they are from a more rural state. Not MA or CA.

Remember, switching to your sidearm is faster than reloading. Also try finding old LEGO head, they don't have a hole at the top. Might keep the powder in.
I wouldn't reccomend that, old Legos are expensive, even spare parts bins can go for a hundred dollars or so nowadays. Probably safer for the wallet to just have some one-off 3D printed heads instead. Can be made out of nearly anything after you mold or scan the heads too!

Couldnt you use two rounds end to end? The front one with a lego bullet, the rim filed off so it fits in the barrel, and the primer glued to the end of the rear bullet, which sits in the chamber as normal with a metal pointy bullet?
Long time subscriber and I think it’s hilarious we’ve started watching vet ranch videos in vet science and all I can think of every time is the quad-hawk video, love the channel keep it up.
The crazy bit about this vid is that technically he could have made those more aerodynamic. He could give them a hard point "stud", give them a hollowpoint with a nose cone its modular ammunition.

What a necropost, but I was thinking since this worked, maybe you could 3d print proper plastic bullet heads, they should be more accurate too as Lego figure heads have those holes on top.
Powder isn't burning because it doesn't have enough pressure between the Lego head and the casing, get someone to machine some copper Lego heads and you're in business
exactly - when you burn gunpowder in an enclosed container the gases it expels will increase the pressure around it which will accelerate the reaction (oxidation) expelling even more gases hence increasing the pressure even more in a positive feedback, the result is a BANG, all the gases expelled in a blink of an eye. However if you burn it out in the open, it will be under one atmospheric pressure from start to finish which will result in no increase in pressure hence no oxidation acceleration or positive feedback In the end both reactions are the same, both will expel the same volume of gases but one will do it way faster than the other.

Could be worse, it could be someone shot with a Kreuger. If you have never seen one, it is a 'childs gun' from the 50s/60s, that fired a steel BB off the charge of a cap (or a bunch of caps). It has just enough 'zing' to penetrate a coke can, not reliably though.

Shot the UMP .40 a few times at the range when I used to do weapons qualification for DOC. Fun as hell to plink targets with. The 2 shot burst fire is fantastic. As well as full auto, not practical. But fun.
