Grandma, thanks for taking us along with you. When I saw what they were doing I said to myself, well, grandma is going to pay about $1,000 for this job. I was shocked he only charged $400, You don't need to be out in the rain honey. You're just getting over one thing and you don't want something else on top of that. I imagine that box contains your Ayam Cemani eggs. Please open them and get them in the incubator quickly. I love you, Grandma!!!!

Great video. I had my pines cut down about 10 years ago but had to work so I didn't see them do it. One was leaning on my fence towards my neighbor's house. Glad i had it done. Hope you feel better soon ❤

When a tree falls like that, they call that a widow maker because it can kickback. It was very smart to call the pros. My husbands family cut trees for many years, it's dangerous work. I 'm sure this is a relief off of your mind. I hope you feel better soon. Stay inside where it's cool.

I am praying for you for healing. I have Diverticulosis also and it flares up sometimes. They can give you an antibiotic to heal it. You will know if you get a pain in your gut. If you have a Colonoscopy, they can see it and take a picture of it and give you the picture. They can tell if it's healed. Please don't stay out in the lightning again. I was a nervous wreck for your safety, and for those men working on the tree. There's no reason why they couldn't have waited until the storm passed. It was not an emergency, as the fence was not crushed. If you hear thunder, it means energy is in the cloud and you can get struck by lightning within 10 miles. Our weatherman explained it to us. So please stay inside until it's over, at least 30 minutes with no thunder. The porch is not a safe place either. Love you. ❤

I agree with you 100%. Handling all these birds and not remembering to wash hands can be disastrous....even in a younger person. I had salmonella and it is no joke, and that was 30 years ago. Birds can also carry other zoonotic diseases. I love Miss Helen--have been watching for years. But she had no business being out in the heat, thunder, lightning, especially while still recuperating--dont need any setbacks for her. I know she is a strong independent woman. She probably should see her doctor for a follow up, after her being in hospital in the past. I am not trying to be mean, but at what point do you need to stop and say maybe I have enough chickens. More chickens, more pens, more work etc. I know she loves them but they seem to make her life harder--I would not put up with the mean roosters...gotta go. I love her and just want to see her happy and healthy. Kudos to the men who came and took care of the dead trees. Generally this would not have been done with the dangerous weather. Sorry I have rambled on--guess I am one of those silent viewers who never comments Thanks

You might want to take advantage of all of your hummingbird feeders being empty & wash them with hot soapy water before refilling them. In this heat, bacteria loves to grow & kill the birds. Just a thought. I love your garden! 🩷🤗✝️

Why did they leave that large part of the base of the tree? That looks sharp. What are you supposed to do with that? I think they should have taken that piece of trunk & leveled the the base to a smooth stump.

North Alabama over here, this is my 4th home in right about 15 years that i haven't had to deal with pine trees or sweet gum!!! I do not miss them!!!
