Guess Chaos Dragon was indeed the issue and not Yata. Its playpatterns are a bit toxic, but it's only one of many hand control cards of the DM era, not very different from Zaloog, reaper or Duo.
I didn't participate and I regret it now, but I will be on the look out for when you do a tournament in the future. As for which format I am quite particular to Yugi-Kaiba but maybe Warrior format would be cool.
@@JanjoZone I know no one else likes the 2012 Chaos Dragon format with Wind-up, Inzektors, dino rabbit, dark world, hero beat, and the like but I love that format to pieces. I have been playing it with friends and the Choas Dragon vs Dark World match-up is a BLAST.
Didnt participate, but now that im learning how to use dueling book, i really hope to take part to a yata format tournament if you do another one in the near future
I would be so hype if you did a Tengu Plant tourney tbh. The only issue is I work overnights in the EST timezone. But i'd be happy to join in any future tourneys if my schedule aligns in the future! Thanks for being such a wholesome pillar in the Yu-Gi-Oh community.
to be fair the decks are mislabeled, the format library bot would name every deck that plays good stuff without specific strategy "hand control", but nobody actually played the hand control strategy with drop off and stuff, some dont even play zaloog. but in the last FL tournament, the actual hand control deck was piloted by almost no one
@@Hclody95 I would say Hand Control in the modern age is more defined by Zaloog & Reaper primarily. More than it used to be with Time Seal & Drop-Off. Deck evolution sort of thing
@@Hclody95 On FL, Vampire Format for example, the popular deck is Warrior Control due to DDWL. You can still see Hand Control top in YRS28. YFZ09 for Breaker/Scientist has Tomato Control, but it's not running Don/Reaper/Yata.
