Even reached Portugal and any country in between, any further and she would have made it to the Moon. I’m glad she put herself out there, took someone’s song and made it her own, and in my opinion, it was better than the original. So yeah, two thumbs up for this girl.
Mikayla please don’t judge your ‘worth’ on wether your ‘blood family ‘want you at home , lots of people have families that they don’t see/aren’t close to. None of mine have never really needed each other, its not a problem, just a fact of life. It would be nice to have a ‘Walton’ type family (your to young to remember lol) but i think its rarer than you imagine. You so remind me of my grandaughter facially and the same wisdom beyond her years , BUT she self harmed at 12-13 as she thought she was ugly (she’s a very pretty young lady) . You sound like you can overcome this , there are alot of people out here willing you on, believing in your talent and want to see you succeed, GO GIRL 👍🏻❤️
You have no idea what we, her family are like. I am her her mum and I am heartbroken that my little girl, who up until the day before her blind audition on the VOICE was my best friend in the entire world. I have been there every step of the way, from doctors appointments, psychiatrist appointments, dietician appointments, massages, chiropractor appointments, councelling sessions to try to help. I have also been to every sports day, school assembly, swimming carnival, volleyball game, tennis lesson, basketball game, been there for every busking session and every performance of her life. So who are you to judge me and my family when you know nothing about us. You will never know the pain we are going through.

I stumbled upon the blind audition video, and was entranced by how real the performance was. Then when you sang your original you did even better. Keep on , keeping on you will eventually catch a break your a great singer, and I know you will be successful talent like yours has to be seen.

It may sound cliche to say you are young and have your whole life ahead of you.... but it's true. When I was 14 my sister died in an accident at the age of 19. A few years down the road another of my sisters died young, got a diagnosis of a cancerous brain tumor and it took her in two weeks time. So my counsel to you is this, that was then... this is now..... you are lovely to look at, have natural charm, talent..... make no comparisons of yourself with anyone else. Bullies or not. Move slowly forward, making careful decisions with your head and heart connected and you will be fine.

I feel you so much, Mikayla. I had a horrible home life and was bullied at school. I spent most my youth wishing I didn't exist. I joined the Army to escape from home because I had nowhere else to go. It took me a long time to get over the pain that was so deeply ingrained in me. But I did it. I'm in my 40's now - married and finally happy. I've had an exciting life... at many times painful, but certainly interesting and adventurous. And to be honest, I wouldn't take any of it back. I hope so much that you find a good place. That you find happiness inside you and goodness around you.

Hi Mikayla, I have recently discovered you completely by accident. Your first audition showed up in my feed and I’m so glad it did. You had a four chair turn which is no easy thing to accomplish. Then I started watching your other videos and I was under the impression that you didn’t think very highly about yourself, and wondered... what could make this talented beautiful young woman feel that she isn’t good enough? Then I saw this video.. I’m speechless 😶, I don’t know you personally, but I have a 19 year old daughter and I keep thinking there is nothing she could ever do to make me stop loving her. You not having your family in your life is heartbreaking to me, and I’m so sorry for you going through this alone. From what I have had the privilege of witnessing, you are an amazingly talented and beautiful young woman. Don’t you ever settle! You Are good enough! Mikayla, Hi. For 60 years I've dealt with so many of the things you deal with - depression, anxiety, bullying, social deficiency's, and family troubles tho much of mine is attributed to Asperger's. I can tell you it does get better but there will always be ups and downs. You're a very special person and you'll find your way. Just keep music close to your heart, it has always helped me. I live in the state of Washington, USA and so you know, you'll always be like family up here. If you ever get up here Seattle is a great place for Indie-music, they would love you. I am writing to you from the Rocky Mountains in the USA. I saw your Voice audition on RU-vid. Maybe ten seconds in, I paused it and searched for a pen to write your name. I am a sloppy writer, but I wrote your name down so very precisely and neatly. It was immediately clear to me that you are a 10 on a scale of 10 for the beauty of your voice and the ability to make people feel the emotions of the song. I will be searching the web for videos from you. But hope you stick to your guns, and do them when you damn well please. And as to the pain of your personal challenges, the oldest known written thought is, "This too shall pass". Just always know that there are a lot of people out there who're going through the same situation as you too. The message is that you're never alone in this world fighting through this, and never look down on yourself. Oof, I can relate. I have a cruel father who made me feel horrible about myself. It’s a long journey of healing from a traumatic childhood. Focus on the healing and talk to a trauma focused therapist if you can. You are so so wonderful 💜🙏

You do not need to carry around all that negativity your family puts on you. Unlearn what they have done to you.
