I also announce the following Series:
1 UNLOCKED:
-Game Mode
-Movie Mode
2 DIRECTOR’S CUT
3 HOW TO PLAY
4 ZELDA MUSIC EVOLUTION
5 WHY ZELDA MUSIC….
I mention some sneak peaks that will come out for the 25k SUB special, but for now that’s plenty. I hope you all are as excited as I am! SO MUCH more to come.

It's incredible to see you grow- congratulations on 10k!! I'm most excited about the Zelda music evolution series, I just love finding the smart little references to classic themes.

I wanna see more analysis of TotK music! Maybe something covering each character's theme. Zelda's Lullaby, Rauru's piano theme and how it's used in the Imprisoning War cutscene, the many different takes on Mineru's theme, the reharmonization of Sidon's theme.... there's so much interesting comparison to be had!

hey thanks for starting this channel, i've always wondered about the musical theory that goes into Zelda as it's gone on to influence generations of gamers and musicians alike. I think the next logical step for this channel would be to break down the rap from the original Legend of Zelda the US commercial, plz and thnku 🙏

I don't always comment but I always love watching your Zelda Music breakdown videos, I'm so excited for what's to come, especially the Unlocked Game Mode because there are tons of great VGMs out there, I'd love to see you do a breakdown of the Pokemon games or even the Splatoon games soundtrack. 😁

Ok, something I know I'd love is seeing you break down the themes for the 4 temple bosses in tears of the kingdom and finding references. Or at least, if only one, then Colgera's theme from the Rito temple. I remember hearing a few references like a theme from BOTW, but also a slight remix of the sand boss from wind waker and I'm sure there's more!

You are totally right that nobody else is really making content like this! I really am looking forward to more of the guessing games like going over links humming. I'm definitely most excited for "How To Play" because similar to you, my introduction to self-taught piano really began as a kid with Synthesia, a USB keyboard, and an old MIDI of the NES Zelda Title theme. I'm sincerely interested in seeing your approach to keeping things fun and approachable while also teaching good principles they can use as a launchpad.

to elaborate, I think Soule's use of inner voicings and counter melodies are unparalleled in video game music (except maybe by Gen 1-2 pokemon counterpoint-style melodies, especially Gen 2 battle themes). Forgotten Vale doesn't really have a strong melody, but it has crazy inner voicings afaik

Very cool to see what you have planned for the channel. My Suggestion, which is a microcosm of your evolution concept, would be deep dives into the divine beast music and how it ramps up as you work your way through the dungeon. I think it’s one of the best uses of dramatic pacing I’ve seen in a Zelda game.

i really like the director's cut videos, so I'm excited to see more of that! there was actually an idea i tried to do research on lately, which is the theme songs of each of the champions/sages of botw/totk, and the similarities between each respective champion and sage, and where the themes are used elsewhere. unfortunately i wasn't really able to find a lot of the tracks listed on the botw ost and totk's ost hasn't yet released to my knowledge. when i hit my dead end i immediately thought of you and i was going back and forth over whether i should try to reach out to suggest it so this was a perfect opportunity!! Yoooo this is awesome!!! :D There's no way I could choose one favorite 😅 This channel is literally everything I love. I've loved the Legends of Zelda since I was 6. I was able to take 3 years of music theory classes and (although I've forgotten a lot,) it's a subject I'm still so interested in, especially since I'm planning on auditioning for a professional choir+symphony next month. Theory is so fun! I love learning and thinking about things, especially small nuances, and Easter eggs/references are some of my favorite aspects about any media. It's just an amazing combination and the vibe of this channel is so lovely too! The LoZ community really needs this :) Game mode and Movie mode - the Legend of Zelda music is AMAZING, but so are so many other pieces. The Legends may hold a special place in my heart, but music in general holds a much larger place in my heart 😁 Directors cut - It's nice to have a long, quality video to listen to while doing mundane tasks or if you just feel like multitasking (I think Gleeok hunting in TotK while watching these vids could be a very satisfying combination). I think these types of analyses have a similar value to the Evolution videos that I mention in that segment {yeah, I wrote this out of order, sorry}. How to play - the fact that you're self-taught and motivated by passion qualifies you to be able to teach people how to play, I think. Those are two really good qualities that the world needs more of. Being genuine and not giving up. And knowing how to play piano- even a little- is a really epic skill 😎 Just make sure to show the fingering you use, else it can get a little overwhelming ;] Evolution - This is so interesting to me :D I've played many of the Legends and I find it so cool how they sneak references into the arrangements. Whether it's a reminiscent melody, a sneaky tweak in rhythm, or a new, emotional timbre that just slaps, I want to know about it and I think I can trust Kevin to share a quality analysis about it :D Why Zelda Music - I really want to learn more about music theory and even though this isn't a professional college class, I want to learn from here because I know it'll be based on something I'm passionate about :D It makes it easy for people to learn about cool stuff (I've mentioned passion and quality so much 😅 but I won't apologize because they're important) If there's one video idea that I'm really interested in, it'd probably be an analysis of the music in one of the memories in TotK. I heard so many references in it (and the memory itself is pretty cool. I think it's #6, The Gerudo Assault) This is a really long, probably nonsensical comment, sorry 😂👍💕 Either way or whatever, I'm really glad I found this RU-vid channel and I'm so excited about where it'll go :]
