El claimed it that night. Love his lower register as well as his falsetto. He looked damn good doing it too.

I've always been a huge fan of El DeBarge. I was fortunate to see El perform live in Dallas. He had technical difficulty with his pre recorded music (Karaoke) so El improvised the rest of his concert by playing his piano. One of the best live performances ever.

El is so gifted it makes no sense

His album in 2010 is the best r&b album I;ve heard in a long time, EVERY song is good! Its called Second Chance

I have been a fan of DeBarge since the 80's, BUT it wasn't until I discovered THIS video about 15 years ago that El became my favorite singer of all time. With all the crappy singers out at the time (and still out), I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This guy was singing so beautifully, so flawlessly, and so clearly, LIVE! I was floored. When he came back in 2010, I saw him 4 times that year! He is still amazing. God given gifts...
