I wouldn't recommend cutting your calories down to 1,200 though. Unless your a Female. If you are a male I would just stick with 2,000 and Moderate exercise.
@victorianicolova4419
@victorianicolova4419 7 лет назад
Even for females it's unhealthy unless you are extremely short and don't do anything at all during the day. Rather than cutting calories as much just make them healthy calories. Fruits , veggies, smoothies. And exercise
@bitstripsguy
@bitstripsguy 7 лет назад
I assume it's because all of the other weight loss/muscle gain videos usually have some kind of nutritionist, or a personal trainer heavily involved. If the videos showed the viewers a detailed version of what makes up these quick and effective weight loss or workout routines, people would find no need in paying some personal trainer or nutritionist a decent amount of money to give them what they can recreate for free by simply watching a video. In other words, if they explain how to lose weight, or how to gain muscle, personal trainers and nutritionists would gain no more money.

I think for some people soylent/huel is great because it does keep you in check with calories. Sometimes it’s hard to keep in touch with really how many you’re consuming (I am guilty of this) that’s why I’ve always enjoyed drinking my breakfast and sometimes lunch because I can really keep in hold of how much I’m consuming. Yes, to lose any weight is to eat in a calorie deficit and if it’s easier for you to actually eat food then hell yeah, and if you need a drink because it’s easy and quick then also hell yeah!

I've lost 20 pounds in the last 2 and a half months and haven't worked out at all..... I stopped eating sugar, processed and greasy foods and started eating much more vegetables, fruits, and overall natural foods. Now I mostly live off of water, oatmeal, beans, rice, salads, basically anything healthy and my fat just melted away.... it's not a strict diet but now I just can't stand drinking a soda or eating a burger or chocolate, it literally makes me sick.

This video honestly made me really proud of what you've accomplished. I had a different situation where I was too skinny and wanted to gain weight. Starting at 113 pounds, I built my way up to 145 pounds through lean dieting and heavy workouts, still working on my body because I know I can always do better.
@Nana-dj3ow
@Nana-dj3ow 7 лет назад
You know, this is exactly it. He said he learned to look at his body, not to shy away, and take things on from there. And I realized it too. I am fat, but I stop by a mirror to check myself out and I am confident in how I look and I am ready to make myself look better and be healthier. So please, do not shame those who are fat but confident now, sad, shy, fat people with little to no confidence will get called horrible names and the only thing that makes them feel better at the end of the day is food. That's why it is important to feel good in our bodies at any point, because then we have the energy and spirit and confidence to say 'you know what! i am going to get a dope new track suit and begin running every day!' instead of 'i want to hide from the world, wait, do i still have that big ice cream in the freezer?' haha

My old high school made P.E. an optional course for junior and senior year, so I haven't properly worked out for about 5 years now. I'm about 165 pounds, and I spend most of my day sitting/lying down and typing works like novels and poetry. I need motivation to get back into working out, so for every "like" that this comment gets, I'l do a set of 10 crunches, 15 push-ups, 30 seconds each of the Superman and banana poses, and 50 jumping jacks.

B E my fitness pal gets such a bad rep. As someone whose been through similar you were already likely to develop an eating disorder and MyFitnessPal was how it manifested in you. No genuine psychologist would blame an app, it's just how to eating disorder was expressed in your disordered eating pattern.

B E yep happened to me too, I thought I would eat 1300 kcals (obviously too little) but I ended up eating 300-450 kcals a day for half a year only because the app tricked me to think that less is better.. But of course, I was already developing an eating disorder, but the app helped me to count calories... Well, my story for this weight loss would be like this: Last March of 2017, I got low self-esteem and no self-confidence due to my weight. Basically, it kept screwing up for me with sizes. The moment where my finals were done, that's where I applied for a gym membership as a summer plan. I went through a ton of diet changes and activities. Seeing as I wasn't active at all, it was very hard for me to even lift and discipline my cravings, especially that I have a goal of losing 50 pounds. I kept going till I reached a loss of 24 pounds in less than three months. I'm more healthy and careful with my body now, along with the fact that I can lift stuff and keep up with physical activities. I'm only halfway from my goal, but you could say that I have learned a lot of things from my experience. That's all.

Between 2015-2019 I went from 97 pounds to between 126-128 mostly like you said, in my stomach and thighs area. I even had people ask me if I was pregnant and when I said no I am not and never have been they usually never believe me. As of 05/12/20 my weight is 116. I’m trying to get my weight to 100 before July 17 of this year because that’s when I’m going to Florida and I want to be able to wear this swimsuit I bought like 3 years ago from Amazon that I have not been able to wear because it was to tight around my stomach. I have about 9 weeks before my trip and I have about 5 weeks before I move.

I always hated my body I was ashamed to take my shirt on the beach my low selfsteam made it hard for me to make friends I always thought everyone judging me whenever I go out I see people staring at me so I started extreme dieting I was eating less than 1000 calories per day and started to do insanity max 30 work out I lost 8 kilos in 2 weeks but I felt tired all the time and I almost died after fourth month when I fel down in the bathroom i was down for more than half hour when I woke up my mother was crying she hugged me I had to promise her I won't do extreme dieting again (I lied) after I lost 30 kilo I was 104 about 215 pound I'm not sure, I didn't feel any difference people were still looking at me so I figured out that my body wasn't the reason for my low selfsteam and it wasn't the reason I didn't have any friends it was me I was blocking myself from having friends because I was scared to speak with anyone I thought maybe no one wanted to hangout with me but how can anyone one ask me to hangout with him if I'm never out of my house the moral of the story don't waste your life caring how you think people see you because believe me it's all in your head it took me more than 5 years to know that don't repeat my mistakes

What I do is I take the calorie information on all of the different components of the recipe, add it all up, then divide that by how many portions it serves, and boom you have your calorie estimate. If you don't have all of the calorie information to do that, you can also use Google to give you an idea so you're not guessing as blindly.

I honestly can't put into words how much I love Soylent. I was overweight, too, but had sort of the opposite problem that you did... my metabolism was slow to begin with due to genetics, but was downright crawling because I have sooooo much trouble making myself eat. I'd go entire days without eating - not on purpose, but just because I don't really get hungry and thinking about eating can actually make me nauseous sometimes. I'd eat at least once a day, but because I'd go so long without food, my body clung for dear life to each calorie I consumed, so my metabolism functioned at a glacial pace for the majority of my 23 years. I've never been obese, because I'm very active and have a naturally athletic build, but I've never been trim, either, and my resulting low self-esteem has been debilitating at times. About a year ago, I discovered Soylent and I can't say enough about it. I still eat about once a day, too, but I've added 2-4 shakes a day and I've lost about 30lbs. I'm at around 21% body fat now. I should also add that I don't work out... I'm very active, like I said, and spend ~10 or so hours on my feet every day for my job (which also involves a lot of heavy lifting) and commute on foot to school, but I'm by no means an athlete. Still, I'm now in the best shape of any woman in my family and I feel healthier than ever, both physically and mentally. It's SUCH a relief not to have to worry about food anymore and I really, really wish I'd found Soylent a long time ago.

I stopped counting calories half way through the month of June and just focused on incorporating as much vegetables as I can to each meal. Also increasing your water intake. Slowly your body, mind and even tastebuds start craving fresh produce. I no longer crave fried foods or ketchup chips because I know how it will affect my body. Mentally you have to keep that goal in mind and make sure you are ready to commit to a healthier lifestyle. Its not about overnight changes. Its about incorporating more wholesome and nourish meals to your days. I find making friends in the health and fitness industry helps to keep me motivated and on track. For exercise I've started taking kickboxing class which have made me feel sexy, lean and strong while getting my heart rate up to the fat burning zone. What I do is look at myself in the mirror and see how I look in clothing. Don't be afraid of building muscles and try to incorporate strength training into your life! Thanks for sharing your journey Kane! I agree. You have to be able to love yourself at every stage of your life, regardless where your body is at in the present. :)

You're losing muscle because you're not eating nearly enough calories.

The lightest I ever was, was also the weakest i ever was. When i was 30lbs heavier, i was much healthier! the number doesn't mean as much as the lifestyle!

Everyone needs a different amount of calories to feel good. When your trying to lose weight you need less calories than usual and Kane probably had help from a medical professional.
