I just want to add that God wants to take you by the hand to nurture and heal you through the pain that might’ve come with it. He is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit, psalm 34:18. Our God is the God of resurrected life and new beginnings! God doesn’t see you as a divorced person or a failure, he sees you as Christ who gave you his perfection. Don’t let the enemy torment you with his lies, he’s a liar!! Wow! This is a great video with facts. As a single person I can attest to that. Currently by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ I'm free from any fantasy especially that perfect family imagination in my mind for years. The best ingredient is to cast out any evil thought by the name of Jesus and reading the scriptures.
This reminds me so much of my mom's story. her entire 20s she wanted a relationship so bad but God put her in the path of pursuing her career instead. When she turned 30, already well established, she met literally th most perfect guy for her (my dad). Who happened to be the kindest, most caring and responsible husband to her and honestly the best father anyone could ever ask for. True love is always worth the wait 💖💖

Stay pure, stay in prayer, stay in God’s will and just as God is preserving you, He’s preserving your husband for you! Enjoy fully basking in God’s presence during your singleness; spend time fasting and in the Word. These will be some of the BEST & most memorable days of your life! How did you know? I have had so many bad first encounters after my glow up and a devastating first experience, I just became scared and aloof. My fear is even if it happens I will not recognize.

I'm just 22 going to be 23 next month. As someone who has dreamed of love and marriage, I'm going to be honest, it's a brutal struggle and it's internal. I have a constant fear I'm never going to be in a relationship, some days I'm very ok with it, other days it's a battle. I want to do many things with God and also for myself (for example, take care of my body to be in good health, skincare, pimple myself, learn how to love myself and see myself with God's eyes, ect..). I'm 28 years old now and never been in a relationship either but I know without a doubt that God has prepared somebody for me. I'm just taking this season to enjoy my time with Jesus without having to divide my attention 💗
Thanks for the transparency. I love your attitude on this. I am in my 40s and was married at 25 then divorced at 30. I wanted to be married so bad and chose the wrong person just because he showed me attention. It was not worth it. Singleness is a blessed and painful road for me. It makes me so sad. I’m desperately holding on to God. My heart and prayers go out to anyone who loves Jesus, is a good , nice person but still find themselves without a partner.

There is no man on this planet who can outdo or compete with Jesus. My recommendation is keep the two separate and not in competition, the moment you tell a man all you need is Jesus he will leave you with just Jesus. Wow girl, I never comment on videos but this is my story to a t. I’m about to be 26 in a few weeks, single, grew up without a father and tried to fill that void with male attention/relationships. I have never heard a testimony so close to my own. The struggle with rejection, fantasizing, and lust. Hearing this has brought me such hope and peace. I’m still in the process of finding contentment in this season but I’m learning and trusting.

I really enjoyed this video. I can relate I'm 29 and never ever been in a relationship and also can relate far as growing up without a father figure. I lost my mom at the age of 10 and at 14 years old i loat my dad but around 11-14 up till he died my dad wasnt active in my life he had a hard time dealing with my moms death and that caused him to leave me alone alot so he really wasnt present in my life once my mom passed. At this age 29 well about 2 years ago God blessed me with a supervisor he is a male and shows so much compassion towards me like a father figure and teaches me alot of life lessons and advice and wisdom which is a blessing im very grateful to have a supervisor like that i know its not.my time yet but i know God is preparing me for marriage. I can relate about having your own place i felt like i couldnt afford it and everything's as well but just June 23 God blessed me with my own place after being homeless for 7 months its nobody but God i work part time and God blessed me with a 2 bedroom place more than I asked for cause I was believing for a 1 bedroom God is so good. Im content in my single season and not out here looking for love and i know when the time is right God will send my kingdom spouse. Ladies, I know how hard it is. I was a born again Christian since I was 24, knew that I could pray about it so I did. Then nothing...when I was 36 I met someone who was not a believer and although I knew that it was wrong and yes many red flags I kept the relationship going. After 6 years we got married for 1 year and we got a divorce. So it's NOT worthed. Now I'm 50 and again I'm by myself but now I'm making the decision with Him so yeah the waiting is hard and I wanted children but never got it but I have peace. Be blessed ❤
I'd never been in a serious relationship until I turned 25 and grew tired of it. The tipping point was someone who I thought was my friend making fun of me for "not having experience". I wasn't a Christian back then, so I went out and made lots of mistakes. Trust me, the grass always seems greener on the other side. None of my relationships have been even half as fulfilling as I have imagined. Most of them have left me with nothing but trauma that God has been healing lately. It truly is better to be single than to be in a relationship with the wrong person. I wish I've stayed single now, as I would have avoided so much heartbreak, embarrassment, and shame. None of my exes treated me right, and each hurt me in ways I didn't even know I could be hurt in, created new insecurities in me, and wrought all kinds of havoc in my life. If I have learned anything from that, it's this: if it's not from God, it's not worth it. The price will be much higher than what you're willing to pay. Be patient and trust God, and your patience will be rewarded.

Deb you are officially my big sister! I recently turned 24 and I've been single all my life, most of it stemmed from insecurities and low self esteem back in highschool and even after my acne faded and i gained confidence in my body, I always carried that mentality for 'i'm not worthy enough or attractive enough'. It's crazy because all my friends are in relationships and I do find myself yearning for a partner or companion, even if I tell myself that I'm so used to being alone. I started praying to God but deep inside I felt like my reasons weren't genuine. All this anxieties and worries and feelings of loneliness definitely stemmed from my absent relationship with God, rather than chasing His heart I was chasing the world's. As someone who wasn't saved until her early 30s, I want to let you know how blessed you are! I had many boyfriends/was basically ravaged by the world (and had no idea because I didn't know Christ)-it's so painful and of course caused so much regret once I realized the truth of God/Jesus. I've now been following Christ and single for the last 11-plus years, and while it's not always easy, it's definitely better than the emptiness of the world. If He has someone for you, you can rest assured, He will bring him to you. In the meantime, let the Lord be your husband. God bless you!
I am also 26 years and I have never been in a relationship. I completely understand and relate to what you are taklking about. It has been a battle to get to a point where I am now content and at peace with letting God do His thing. I am finally at peace with waiting for Him. My 25th year was rough 😅. I'd get jealous, I'd cry myself to sleep. I hated myself. But now , I'm good. I'm glad that we can talk about this openly and its good to hear thatI'm not struggling alone.
I am also in a single season and have been for a number of years now. Early on I fully embraced my singleness by focusing on maximizing who I am spiritually, physically and financially so, when God grants me my kingdom wife I will have everything in place to love her as Christ loves the church, as well as everything I need to provide for her and protect the integrity of our relationship. Though I get lonely from time to time, I talk to God about how I fee inside - including a little whining from time to time :) - But ultimately, I then rest in his sufficiency. His grace is enough and I wouldn't trade this process for anything.

I married at 29, and I married the wrong man, and although we are still together after 29 years, it hasn’t been a great relationship, for starters he’s not a believer, he’s a heavy drinker, and hasn’t been easy, I would’ve left years ago, but found God and divorce is frowned upon by God, so I justified staying, but Deborah if I could go back……………….I trust still that God is in control and that gets me through each day! God will give you what is meant for you.

Hi Deborah 🙂 I believe in the saying, 'There is someone for everyone.' It is definitely much harder to meet someone new in the 2020's. More of us spend a lot of time at home, bars and nightclubs are not for everyone so many of us are left with the online option, but that can lead to new problems. Then there is the issue of trust. I have a lot of trust issues and if you date then you have to have complete trust in that person. We all know that there is only person who is completely honest and loyal to all of us and we won't find that person at a party, at a nightclub, at a pub, at a speed dating event. We will find this person in the Bible and in our Church. 🙏
I completely agree! I also work a very demanding job so the last thing I want to do is search for men online. I definitely pray about marriage but I'm slowly giving up. I don't frequent bars and clubs, I would prefer a godly husband, but I don't see many available men in godly environments like church. It's extremely common where I live for the women who are pursuing the Lord wholeheartedly to be single for an extended time period. I have more faith that I will just be single long term, which is okay. I'm 29 and have never been in a relationship...and I will survive.

I am so tired of seeking love and validation from people. i always end up in a relationship when i should just be able to rest in my single season. I am divorced unfortunately I was married for 10 years , This was my first relationship and ended up in a marriage, I gave it my best but the Heavenly Father knew that it wasn’t for me , so I am now in my single season again , I did try to rush God and jumped into a new relationship that I knew wasn’t what God may have wanted for me ! Lesson learnt, now I am obeying and spending my days praying and getting to know him more! And it’s great I tell you😊 sometimes I do feel lonely and I’m a girl that likes dressing up and going to a nice dinner but I’ve been having my dinner with God these days! I am patiently waiting on Gods perfect timing for my forever relationship the second time around ❤️ I know he won’t ever let me settle again! I have been in two relationships in the past that I regret because I settled, so you are wise to remain single. It's infinitely better to stay single than to settle. I used to date to fill the void of my dad's absence, but eventually I realized what I was doing and learned my lesson. Trust in the Lord's divine timing! Once I finally re-committed my life to Christ and let Him take control of my love life, he brought me an amazing Godly man at the age of 29. It was until I genuinely enjoyed spending most of time with Jesus during my season of singleness that He brought me my person. This is so relatable, all my friends are married now, and people ask me why I am still single, the pressure from society to get married is just too much. I used to get upset when people ask me such questions but not anymore because everything happens for a reason and when the time is right, My Jesus will make it happen. I am 27 and also single for 6 years, never been in any serious relationship none of the ones I have been on felt right, so I decided to wait on God to show me the right person

Yes! I totally have been trying to cast down the thoughts of a dream life I want in the future so I can be more present in my everyday life. I watched a sermon of Craig Groeshel titled are you here. And ever since then whenever I start drifting thinking of my future spouse or family, a dream job or home, I just ask myself, am I here? And then I start listing all the things I have right now. The Lord convicted me and told me a few weeks ago, if you don’t make time for me now, you won’t make time for me when you have what you are asking for… 10:09

Turned 27 and I felt it this year that God really needed me to keep all the men away so He can restore my prayer life, It hasn't been easy but it is within this period that God is fixing me for the best!

I just burst out crying when I saw it because I have been doing that my whole life, due to being 29 and almost 30 and never have been in a relationship. Almost making me forget who I was while I was living in the second world in my head. I was breaking my own heart but each day I'm trying to find peace with being single but I fight it and I have already seen small changes. Great video - same girl I'm 30 and never had it. been a lonely and painful period. So many nights I questioned my self worth I wondered if God had forgotten me or if I just wasn't worthy of being loved. But I still have hope that God will one day grant the grace to love me to someone and whoever he is he will accept. I pray to also accept the grace to love him whoever he is. Loved Loved Loved this segment! So many of us singles really need to hear this encouragement. What God has graced you with the wisdom of knowing now at age 26 has taken some of us even longer😂 Not that God didn't want to bring us into this place of wisdom and peace. But, some of us have lived so long in a space where we let past hurt, stubbornness and lies keep us in bondage and lack of understanding of who we really are and our worth. That seeking the kingdom of God and his righteousness is truly the best and comes with so much peace and joy! For the first time in 34 years, I feel truly at peace with God in not yet being married. I have so much trust in who God is, and what he wants for me that I trust when the time is right, my single season will come to an end. Until then God has so much for me already and I have so much to learn from Him. Be Blessed

That is so real - I found myself day dreaming often as well and had to come to the understanding that God doesnt like when we fantasize and we mss out on so much in resent day.
As someone who has been in one relationship I WISH I just listened to God and stayed single! I’m beyond thankful I’m in my single season and I’m staying in it until Jesus brings that man to me! haha 😂

I am 44 years old and have been bending God’s ear pertaining to this specific topic. I feel like at this point in my life that I’m really ready to date and be in a relationship but I never ever in a million years looked at my singleness as a true unmerited blessing from GOD! I’m so humbled, grateful, and thankful for your obedience and your sacrifice. I truly felt in my heart that God had forgotten about me or that I wasn’t good enough or worthy enough to be someone’s better half. But your message spoke volumes and hit me hard. I will continue to walk in my singleness with my head held high, embrace God’s presence (because I know he’s there because I didn’t stumble upon your video by chance; it was a divine orchestration), and dwell in the blessings he has for this season of my life. Hi Deborah! So happy I found your channel! I'm also 26, have never been in a relationship and grew up without a father figure and I thought I was alone in this and I can relate to a lot of what you said. Thank you so much for your transparency and sharing what God shared with you. I have finally become comfortable with being in my single season and God has blessed me with so much peace, truly thankful for that and realizing that I need to focus and spend more time with God and being obedient. I'm at the point where if a man doesn't enter my life adding to the peace that God has given me, I don't want him. Also, thank you for sharing to take advantage of our single season right now. It took me the longest to truly realize that and that this time is special and that I'll regret not taking advantage of it. During this season, I've been able to spend more time with God (still working on being more consistent) and finding hobbies/things I like to do and it's honestly been fun! Self worth YES!! I've been working on that during this season as well. Also Matthew 6:33 is my favorite scripture! It has been able to guide me so much!

I’m 22 and I’ve never been in a relationship. I’m still super young and not necessarily worried that I’ll never get into a relationship, but I experienced the same things as you: not getting validation or interest from guys, running to fantasies, struggling with lust and overall wanting what other people have. I’m just now (literally beginning last week) trying to get a hold on these things. I had to chat with God about my current insecurities and pray that He take them away. The Lord is our dad, he’s our strength. In our weakness he is strong! With so many of these things that we run to to get validation we can’t get out of it by ourselves, the spirit is willing: but the flesh is so weak. God sees your willing heart! Just be expectant, he will take you by the hand into healing and breaking of cycles in Jesus mighty name. He’s done it for me, and he will do it for you too 🥰 it’s so good to have you here sis!! I am soon turning 21 and I still have never been in any sort of relationship but I have always known for sure that God was standing in the way of any guy that approached, I remember that from a very young age I used to pray that I would never enter a relationship until I was truly committed to God and God did just that. I guess I didn't understand the magnitude of that prayer but it has covered me from a lot of things, even from the loneliness that comes with being single. it just always felt right and whenever I felt a need to date a guy, I knew I had not been praying and so I wanted to fill that emptiness with worldly love. All in all, God heard my prayer and was like, say less. Anyways I now know true love can only be found in God and he will still be the one to give me a companion that mimmicks his love while I am still in this world.

I am 27 now in a loving relationship, but I truly was in the single/struggling season for soooo long, and I can really relate with everything mentioned. Trust me when I say, the quality of your relationship will only be as good as the quality of time you spend with yourself. Without it, it could very easily turn into a one sided nonreciprocated chase within a couple, willingness to stay with toxic partners, or codependency. I was only able to really fix my attachment issues after being in and out of 10 relationships.. after finding God and learning love my time alone. It’s a game changer.
IT IS FREAKING OKAY PEOPLE! And it's gonna be okay. If you're single at WHATEVER age, don't worry. I am in my late 20's I have had some sleepless nights about not being in a relationship. I could have had it easily, though if I really decided to because somehow I would get male attention sometimes. And there was ALWAYS struggle. The guy I liked was either too harsh, too arrogant, married, my friend liked him or something. It is a huge blessing to not be able to get someone. I discovered that having acne or something that makes you not so desirable is a great blessing. God showed me someone very special and I once wanted it too much. God cleansed me from my obsession with him. Now if I am ever going to marry it's probably is going to be him or it will be just me and the Lord, which is finally fine to me. Like, really, I would have thought that is a lunatic talk a year ago but truly this is the order of things. Jesus is the key to life and I would not understand that before but now I do and now I'm free. I know it's all good at last.
I just wanted to tell you Deborah this was such a great faith talk. It felt so relate able, of how I felt growing up …I’m 27 a single mother so I did go through pain awakening love and ignoring red flags for it. It was painful but God has never left my side always been so good. I did have moments where I left him but I’ve been seeking him and hearing his voice again and it’s been so amazing. Yet I still struggle with worry and my faith especially being obedient. Recently I was at a event and I was feeling like I’m this old and I’m single and I saw couples and family’s and just felt left out and the next day the Lord lead me to a scripture that said “You’re maker is your husband” and how he has compassion on me, I literally felt like wow your talking to me, you find me worthy to be your wife. He is literally my everything. I just wanted to tell you what he told me. And you mentioning being single and the freedom yes, I regret not going in mission trips, travel so many things you do have so much time to just grow in him, be solid in him. At the right time God will bless you if that’s still a desire on your heart ❤️ love you sister please keep me in your prayers! I need to focus on the now and stop with my fantasy. I need to really job hunt, I remember you video saying that you didn’t want to settle. How did you know what was the right job for you? And to be obedient and trust he will open the doors for me!

You haven't missed anything. And you've probably saved yourself from quite a few serious heartaches. I feel like you literally described me, not yourself, I can resonate with you from the beginning till the end. And what you said about not really liking the guy, but still going on with it, I think I had goosebumps! It happens to people who had tough lives and felt lonely when they were kids. I was like that too. And I hated being single, even though I have been my entire life. Now I'm sorry I felt that way. Because once you build up confidence and start loving yourself, you actually enjoy your own company so much that you cannot be with just anyone. And I thank God he saved me from disappointments. It's funny how the world sees singles, though. People feel sorry for you, even though they might be in abusive relationships and suffer way more, you're still a bigger weirdo in their eyes. Hey Debrorah, I was scrolling for a sermon on RU-vid and I saw your title and it triggered me. My stomach fell to my feet and I scrolled quickly past it because I would say that often. After every heartbreak it’d end with “I’ve never had.” I’ve had attention from men and I’ve been showered with gifts and affection but what I desired most was commitment. I wanted a relationship badly. Three months ago I was shattered, and I ran to God because I needed him more than ever, since then I’ve been building our relationship and I truly have been feeling that void being filled by God.
