More than that actually. You have to know all the movies and actually care about them a little more than just for the sake of a couple of hours of entertainment, otherwise you forget the things that are referenced in this movie. That's what makes this movie so gorgeous. It's really for the true fans and the creators don't care that the rest of the audience doesn't get it.
Yesss! I watched endgame with my friend yesterday and it was her first time (she's not a big marvel fan) but she hadn't watched infinity war and I told her that she would miss a lot, but she refused to watch the first movie so I just sat there super intrigued in the movie while she wasn't because shes not attached to the characters, noted the only marvel movies shes watched is Guardians of the galaxy, spiderman, and thor....so that's sad....
When Pepper said “you can rest now.“ It was a callback to when Tony first figured out time travel. He said he could throw it into the lake, if she wanted him to, where no one would ever find it and they could go to bed. But, she looked up at him and said, “but will you be able to rest?“
And in Age of Ultron (or was it an Iron Man movie) there was a scene when Tony can't even sleep because of what happened in the first Avenger movie. Since after the first Avenger movie, Tony wasn't able to rest because he keeps on thinking that maybe the ~aliens~ will come back.
really love how hard dylan went against that female empowerment scene "make a phase one movie with a female superhero if it mattered to you" BRUH YOU'RE NOT WRONG
they did before this movie came out and he said it didn't look interesting. i think it says a lot about his character. edit: ohhh phase one. but still he was completely demeaning the women in this movie.
@@reaganolivia7755 yeah that's the issue, he's the exact type of YTer I wanna watch but the main thing that discreditts him is some of the sexist thing he says on occasion
@@reaganolivia7755 I think it was mainly just because the movie didn't seem intriguing to him (which is fair enough) not necessarily because it had a female lead role. Also, they should've had a female lead role a lot sooner than they did, it can't be denied; and I think he just thought the 'female empowerment scene' felt a bit forced and that it kinda seemed like they were just trying to make up for all the times the female roles have kinda been pushed to the side a bit. Although, I don't have problem with the scene, however, it does feel a little forced, but hey-ho I like it.
Bro Natasha and Clint are like best friends. They have been through so much together. It's not about who's married, it goes way deeper than that. If you care abt their relationship, that scene is one of the most devastating in the MCU. ✊😭
Officer Riya That relationship really wasn't explored that well throughout the MCU and it felt a little weird because we knew that one of them was going to die, there was no element of suspense. Acting wasn't quite up to par either.
@@ARVvidz I see what you mean, I mean compared to what they could have done their relationship on screen is pretty scant. But what can I say, what is there is enough for me to get attached to and fill in the rest for myself. I love them and the scene, totes respect your thoughts on it though and you have a point.
Black Widow and Hawkeye are best friends. His children call her Auntie Nat. They were never together. And, since his family was taken by the SNAP, Black Widow would be the next person alive that he loves the most. So, it makes sense. Lol.
I literally shipped them since the first scene they had together XD Rlly sad that they didn’t have a movie or something like that together :/ And btw how can ANYONE not cry during Natasha’s death scene I can’t-
And they have multiple movies to setup a strong emotional connection between the two and the payoff just wasn’t enough. My companion during that time cried during that scene and I honestly don’t understand why.
So I did enjoy the scene where all the women are together despite it’s absolute cheesiness because it showed just how many badass women we have in this universe. However, you are 100% correct that had we had more female centric solo movies in the early phases, it wouldn’t have been necessary.
I watched that scene too, and it felt so out of place because they almost never really focus on the female characters unless: 1) Sexual tension 2) Death scene 3) Virtue signaling So I cringed so hard when I watched it in theaters because I knew number three was what they were going for, and like you said, there should have been more female centric movies (and honestly just female centric, feminine gaze scenes).
@@Sam-ux4kw Except, it's easy for us to say now.. there should've been more female centric movies in phase 1. But that never could've happened cause when Marvel started up their comic book movie franchise, their female audience was seemingly minimal to none. Just think about how many male comic book nerds to female comic book nerds you know in real life, before the MCU Era. There would've been no considerable audience for a captain marvel movie back then. They're doing the best they can to keep up with their ever-expanding audience, even with the risk of virtue signaling. I literally have a friend who hated the fact that Falcon & Winter Soldier was focused on Racial issues and called it Disney's cheap marketing to be relevant with current trends
@@Aro7241 I get it but it's like, if you're gonna do it, do it right. You don't get to show us a all-female scene and not do any other work. That was point I was trying to make. And even if there was a large male audience, I still feel like over sexualizing these women is still wrong and sends the wrong message.
This really made me realize just how many callbacks they did to previous movies that would make no sense to someone who either hasnt seen them, or dont remember everything that happened in them. The MCU really is just an extremely long tv show
Well, it could've been just San Francisco or it could've been the state. Either way, Scott Lang was looking in the L section, where he would find his name or the name of Cassie.
YES!! I've been screaming at Dylan this whole video!!!😩😭 Plus when he mentioned my favorite fight scene from CW but thought he was wrong, I was still screaming because he didn't catch the Hail Hydra reference or 'America's Ass'😒😭

You don't have to know the movies well to predict some of those lines. I loved this movie, but it was also predictable af, which is okay for hardcore fans like me (we watch it for fan service), but I can see how others would find the script cheesy.
@@elliemoon88 It is cheesy but most series finals are since you are saying goodbye to beloved characters and their stories are ending. Watching Endgame before watching most of the MCU movies is like watching a series finale and being upset about the cheese and not understanding the emotional weight of the narratives.

@@razkable well franchising... became important... because it’s literally the Marvel franchise 🤡. It’s the same thing for DC. you need to understand the characters, what happened to them to make them the way they are, heck you even need to know a lot of their lines in past movies. Endgame was the event where everything came full circle. If you know you don’t care about the characters or know the movies like real Marvel fans, then simply don’t watch Endgame. This may sound dramatic, but it wasn’t just a movie for us. It was literally the endgame of all we’ve been through since 2008.
@@razkable it becomes important when people enjoy it and want more. Why does something you like need to end? If you never felt a hollow feeling after watching a movie that you loved and thought what now, is because you never watched a movie you really really enjoyed. To this day I don’t get how Cap showed up in this timeline if he went back in time and, if I get how the time travel works here, would have changed the past and created a new timeline? This would no longer be the future of the timeline he went into
Amen! I hate that scene. It just goes against all the time travel rules they explained earlier in the movie. And even though I want to like the scene, cause it's cap we're talking about, it just doesn't work.
Valkyrie literally lead the Asgradians for the past 5 years while Thor played video games and drank beer with his buddies. I think she showed she was a pretty good leader.
She did it all off-screen. And back in Ragnarok she was not a leader in the slightest. This is just the Russos skipping over character-development, like they always do...
@@guyr3618 my dude there was a 5 year time skip I mean what did you expect there to be? She already had character development and had leadership skills so it wasnt surprising she had to take on the role as leader.
I would have loved if the message that Tony was recording was for Peter, I know he was dead when Tony was recording the message but I felt like Tony and Peter had a more significant connection than Tony and Pepper.
Yeah but still I can see where it was coming from, the thing I was most upset about was just that Dylan didn't show Tom's reaction to Tony's death other than that I didn't really have a problem with it
Thinking about it, wouldn’t it have been better for Thanos to wish that everyone except for him had no knowledge of the infinity stones? In that case, no one would try to do anything since they would not be able to pinpoint the issue.
I hated that "we are powerful, we are girls" scene so much. I can't even put it into words. Who. The. Hell. Cares. In a situation like that who gives a shit about your gender? And worst of all. Aside from Captain Marvel, they all didn't do shit. Not a single shit was done by any of them.
Dylan represents half of the people who watched this movie. Doesn't watch any of the other movies to educate yourself on the characters. And watches on the biggest movie that has so many callbacks to other films.
he has watch some of the movies and he's done commentaries on them and he did a disclaimer in the beginning that he doesn't know anything about Marvel also he did a commentary on Marvel because I'll get views
Yeah but Thor literaly spent thousands of years preparing for the role of the king, it's just stupid for him to just leave it all behind when he spent like, three movies trying to be the best king. It's just anticlimatic af

tikki 90% of the women in these movies are boring and uninteresting. Captain marvel, Shuri, Wasp, etc. Hopefully Hawkeyes daughter will be good in that new show
I love your comments so much because if you think about it Thanos needed The Infinity Gauntlet to move the moon but Wanda just went at him with our own power thanos needs the Infinity Stones in order to be more powerful than he actually is
the entire movie, i thought what thanos did was right... i mean, earth reflourished with fewer humans as it was overpopulated before; also, is not like he chose a specific group of people to die and he didn't overuse the power of the glove (he used it once and then destroyed it) the movie just proved humans are selfish imo
@@musicslit1919 No, what Thanos did was pointless. He caused a lot of suffering for something that's as inevitable as he claimed to be. @@musicslit1919 Resources may have re-flourished, but the mental health of humans/aliens on other planets declined. Why was it okay for Thanos to feel entitled to kill 50% of all life in the universe (this includes humans, animals, plants, and all other life forms on all other planets? Just because his home planet died due to lack of resources? Even before the stones, Thanos went around to multiple planets killing off half the population (not at random - he chose not to kill Gamora). Thanos wanting to get rid of half of life with complete disregard of the emotions/opinions of others is an act of selfishness. He could have used the stones to create more resources and spared people's lives.
The Valkyrie thing should’ve made sense to you??? You could see Thor was slipping away in his depression and she took over and took care of things when he couldn’t, showing that she’s a capable leader for years. I don’t get how that’s a hard assessment to make. Idk man, obviously you don’t know everything and that’s okay but that was pretty self-explanatory. 💀
The problem was that the movie told us this, it didn't show it. All that was needed for it to work was one single scene [BEFORE THOR MADE HER KING or w/e] in which Valkyrie interacted with the Asgardians as a good Queen. Just one moment, and it would have made so much sense for Thor to give her the crown. It would have *felt right*.
