Hey guys! Amino's been great and has sponsored me a few times. It's a free app, show them some love! And make sure to follow me :) Here's the link: aminoapps.onelink.me/4eRt/DylanIsInTrouble2019
Yeah I think it’s because in Ragnarok we see that Loki can see other peoples memories by touching them. And when Odin found him in Jotunheim as a baby, Loki changed his appearance into a humanly looking creature. He probably had seen the memory of Hela in Odins mind and changed his appearance into this.
If there was one thing I would hope for the Loki show, its the acknowledgment of Loki's powers....cause the MCU just pretends that they're little magic tricks, but in the comics, they literally could rival Scarlett Witch
Yesss!!! Loki, someone has been been learning magic for LITERALLY around 1000 years is beat by Strange(whose only studied it for a few years???) Not to mention, he rarely uses his magic abilities in the movies(except to conjure daggers and glamours I think)
@@aprilblues3202 Nah, even the fight against Valkyrie or Hela or Thanos, we never got to see any special abilities. Though technically speaking the MCU Loki has always been a far cry from the comic one, even during the Thor 1 or the First Avengers movie, the only skill we see is Transformation and illusions. Which is later disregarded.. They never showed him showcasing any special ablities besides the Freezing one and even that wasn't used anywhere else besides the 1st avengers movie.
I actually like that Thor and Loki get into stupid situations and aren’t always unstoppable gods. In the original mythology, they made mistakes and acted like flawed humans pretty frequently.
@@rocknrollcomedyguy yeah haha. In one story called Trymskvida. The Jotun Trym steals Thor’s hammer. In exchange for the hammer, Trym wants to marry Freya. Thor ends up dressing up as Freya and goes to Trym. In the end he gets the hammer.
In Norse myth the gods weren’t treated like the Greek gods were. The Nordic people viewed them as flawed, powerful beings that would one day die like the rest of humanity in Ragnarok! Whereas the Greek gods were all-powerful and immortal!
I'm sad he missed out lokis little smirk after thor explained the story of him stabbing him as a child. I thought it was one of the little things that was just so funny. Oh and when he said "yes! that's what it feels like" when thor was being smashed against the floor by hulk
Finally, someone with taste, I see. Not trying to offend those attracted to Cate Blanchette (I’m positive I spelled her name wrong, so again, I apologize) but I just see why or how she’s attractive. Loki and Valkyrie though? Hell. Yes.
The vampire joke hits even funnier when you know he’s the director of “what we do in the shadows” which is about three vampires, so he’s basically playing a joke at himself. Omg taika waititi is the freaking best
@@rocknrollcomedyguy I think the series creator and director is Jemaine Clement, who also co-directed the movie with Taika and acted on it. Their collaborations are always awesome, and its great to see how their humour play off each other!
After meeting Hela it's weird to find out that actually Loki was accurate for this family - rebel, moody and dark; Thor is the weird athletic middle kid xd
Dylan: doesn't pay attention to the movie because he keeps asking questions Also Dylan: complains about not understanding things that have been explained in the movie This guy cracks me up
She needs to come back Hela is one of the most powerful persons on the universe she can' just die to a big sword she peobably teleported please be teleported omg she was so badass
@@LadyVenVen afaik she isnt loki's daughter in the MCU, only in traditional norse mythology, i think she is in the comics, but its some weird shit about a previous incarnation of loki for a previous ragnarok, comic asgard is super weird
Thank you for pointing out that Odin was a sh*t father. He really messed Loki up and he made Hela what she was and then jailed her for wanting to keep going.
if i'm not mistaken i'm pretty sure it's canon that the girl was her partner, that's why they continue to point out that she "lost everything". not just her place as a valkyrie but also her girlfriend and her home all at once.
It's kinda okay not to remember that Fandral, the blond guy, was in all three movies. He was played by Zachary Levy in the latter two but by Josh Dalls in the first. AFAIK abc (a.k.a. a Disney company) did not let him return while he was contracted for Once Upon a Time.
Dylan: *"whenever I say it's a misdirect, I'm always right."* Also Dylan while watching Bird Box: *"It's a misdirect."* Bird Box: **guy actually dies** Dylan: *"It wasn't a misdirect."*
The voice actor for the stone guys is actually the director of the film, and since he's from New Zealand, he decided to incorporate a Maori accent into the role
@@joshentertainment2 Stone guy absolutely has a Kiwi accent, and specifically Maori, which makes sense, since it's Taika Waititi. Karl Urban is also Kiwi, and his accent definitely shows as well.
A lot of people didn't like this movie because they didn't really get the dry Aussie/Kiwi humour but the fact that Dylan thought it was funny made my day. It was such a good movie for a laugh and I just love that Dylan thought that too haha
okay so fun fact that I’m pretty sure everyone knows but Thor Ragnarok is like 80% improvised by all the actors they had more freedom with this movie bc it was a new director
Also, this movie just feeds into my Loki obsession. There's just something about lonely, misunderstood, and deep down warm-hearted antagoniststhat hit different.
It’s funny people say Thor looks adopted amongst his siblings, when he actually looks like both his tan and golden parents lol. Hela must look like her mother 🤷🏽♀️😂.
@@sarrinahthecertifiedbookwo5833 Yup!! Hela and Fenris wolf are actually two of Lokis kids in Norse mythology. They just changed it a bit here. I would also like to thank Rick Riordan for teaching me this hahaha
@@anishpatel3118 Captain America is my least favourite character of the Marvel universe (mcu and comics). I'm kinda happy they finally let him go, to me he's just a boring character with boring powers. And his character carries the name of a whole continent while using a suit that has the USA flag in it, it doesn't make any sense to me lol.
@Homeless some of them aren't coming back, But does that even matter? How many movies can you name where the bad guy wins? He came, he took, he killed and then he got away, That's a victory in my book
Just a Nobody stop trying to turn this into a double standard. The reason they said toxic masculinity is because that’s what it is. Lots of guys have problems being in a position “lower” than a female, or a submissive position. They think is “gay” or “weak”.
@@rosie8909 no its not Bi is when you have sexually attracted to a both gender even though she's into women she likes men too u can't call it GAY unless she is just into a women, duhh
The “3 vampires huddled together” joke is also a reference to the mocumentary style comedy movie “what we do in the shadows” where the 3 main characters are vampire roommates in New Zealand. the Guy voicing Korg is also the director of “Thor ragnarock, and he’s also the director of “what we do in the shadows” and played one of the three main vampires in that movie.
I want an alternate reality where hela is trying to be serious and intimidating and Dylan is just chilling in the crowd, throwing pick up eyes at her as she tries desperately to ignore him.
Hela's assistant is actually someone from the comics, called Skurge the Executioner, so it was kind of for the fans and it wouldn't be right if they didn't include him
the vampire joke is actually even more funny when you know that Taika Waititi (director and voice of stone creature Korg) starred in a movie called "What We Do In The Shadows" (you should totally watch btw) where three vampires live in a house together and a crew for a documentary visit them and they do interviews and stuff - it's f*cking hilarious
I remember watching 'What We Do In The Shadows' at school so many times! I always thought it was the funniest show but then forgot about it until I watched this movie and I ended up looking it up again!! :)
Fun Fact Dylan, weapon creation is a magic that Hela be using the entire movie on an extreme scale. Remember when strange took loki out of his falling portal and Loki pulled knives out of nowhere? Same magic, just alot weaker
This is one of if not the best Marvel movies in my opinion I love the humor, plot, story and it is just over all great. And Hela can make swords out of thin air.
I recently binged all the marvel avenger movies. And Wanda vision. And ragnarok is one of my favorites, because you really get to see more of both Thor and hulk, and you realize how child like they really are😂
This entire movie was just a Bisexual fever dream for me, especially with Loki in the black suit and ofc Hela- like um yes mam i'll kneel thank you very much
"Why did she- ooh, you look extra good today- why did she just pull this random guy and make him the right-hand man?" The way he said that was hilarious XD
Yeah sorry for not mentioning any of their names I was scared that I might mistake them I think they are Chris Liam and Luke and like all of them are kind of famous except for Luke but he is still in good movies Chris is Thor obviously and Liam is Miley’s husband
Three vampires joke was for sure the “What we do in the shadows” reference. This is a masterpiece of a comedy directed by Taika Waititi who also directed Thor:Ragnarok
@@sarrinahthecertifiedbookwo5833 ok but mythology isn’t the mcu. In the mcu he’s a frost giant that got adopted and learned magic from his mother. He’s not a god he’s just powerful. In mythology he’s a god but not in the mcu
