The space bar is programmed to replicate the last thing you clicked on. If you click the full screen button then press the space bar it’ll minimize. However, if once you are in full screen you pause and play the video, the space bar will trigger the pause and play button.
the fact that dylan remembered everyone’s names AND rooted for the heroes and not the villains really shows how entertained he was with his raging ADHD and need for chaos
Honestly it’s an achievement if your people don’t know about war … but USA ? They shoot each other anyway. I don’t think they should be allowed to view those
The funniest part about Dylan’s comment at 13:15 about Peggy being thirsty is that filming that scene was the first time Haley Atwell got to see Chris evans shirtless and that is her genuine reaction, including the pec touch.
fr! all i could think watching this commentary (i havent rewatched ca:tfa since before endgame was released) was how much the mcu has declined. like everything now feels so forced and formulaic and more sanitised
im kind of picky about civil war because it really should have been its own thing instead of a cap movie , but otherwise yeah they're all incredible solid.
I think this is the first time I’ve watched a Dylan video where he is actively cheering for the hero and then smack talk the badguys. Captain America did that💜
I liked Monica and Richard growing up but being around Monicas age now as she was at the time i’d feel BEYOND weird about a man who new me since birth and was and is currently close friends with my parents. Like it’d basically be my uncle. I think it’s just easier to watch because on the show we ONLY see them at this stage. But idk
It’s very weird. I saw some episodes while my sister watched it and it’s always been so damn weird to me it’s a crazy age gap already. Plus the fact that he knew her so young is gross to me
The only thing that makes it slightly okay is that Richard hadn't seen Monica since before she lost weight, and she lost weight while she was still in high school. So she was able to finish her teen years and her early twenties without interacting with him at all before they got together
Dylan teeth girl is played by the same actress that played Meredith quill it was revealed in she hulk Steve lost his virginity during the USO tour and context points to it being lost to teeth girl. Because she’s played by the same actress it is nearly canonically accepted by fans that Teeth girl is either Meredith Quill’s mom or grandmother meaning Peter Quill could be genetically related to Captain America. Thanks for reading my essay
If it’s the mom he wouldn’t be related to him, also it doesn’t make sense it’s the mom when quill was a child during the 80s and this was during the 40s
@@Ravensshenanigan he would if the mom had a child as a result of her intercourse with Steve that then grew up and had kids and that eventually lead to Meredith
that happens to him because for Disney plus when you click the spacebar it does what he clicked before. So like if he clicked the "full screen" and then he clicks the spacebar, it's going to undue what he did. SOOOO if he clicks the full screen and then the play button, when he clicks the spacebar it is going to pause and play. idk how to explain it but yeahh I WISH HE CAN SEE THIS so he stops getting mad at it 😂
@@carmenespinoza9743 I think he's mentioned that in a previous video if I remember correctly so he definitely knows!! I think it just really annoys him because 1) He doesn't agree with that system 2) He probably never clicks on the full screen button, only the pause button when he watches these films and YET the spacebar still manages to affect other functions that the pausing one but who am I to know haha, the 1) is for sure true though
@@carmenespinoza9743 I would continually be upset even though I know this now because who designed that? Why would they go against the grain on something so consistent and do it so poorly. At least tell people when they sign up or something😂 it's horrible UX, clearly
Dylan not knowing a thing about Captain America makes me extremely happy and I think it's because he just enjoys the movie lore instead of "WELL ACTUALLY"-ing through the universe.
1:30 on behalf of the Josh community, I would like to thank Dylan for allowing us to watch your captain America commentary.we humbly accept your gracious offer. This truly is a moment of my life and I’m sure the Josh community would agree.
@ganiarathore9506 yall don't understand I watch the sidemen and the comments are absolute bots. They're all bots. So seeing actual people communicate in the comments is fantastic. Like I love seeing humans talk uno????
I DIED at 27:25. His reaction to the guy being shredded is amazing, going from complete calm to shock. Maybe it's just because I'm tired, but that made me laugh for way longer than it should have
I don't know if it was mentioned before or if he really doesn't know it, but doesn't the space bar only repeat the last action? Like, if your last action was to press play for a video the space bar will pause it. If your last action was to maximize the video the space bar will act as if you clicked that same button again. At least that's what my space bar does. Idk, Dylan's frustration is definitely fun to watch but if that happened to me that often I would probably be mad by now. :D
@@buchstabensalat8513 Yeah he does know that he mentioned it in a previous vid (I think it was Aladdin) but he insists that it should always be pause/play
Off topic but I'm genuinely waiting for Dylan's book. I know it will take time but it doesn't really matter. I hope he didn't give up on that and gives us some info about how it's turning out. And Dylan if you read this by any chance, I'm sure it'll be a great read. Keep going! 💚
As soon as Dylan said this was Disney WW2, I knew his reactions to the deaths would be *peak* since this was before Disney owned Marvel and they were much more ok with people dying lol
Disney already owned Marvel when this movie was made, this was actually the first one to be produced by Disney, but they weren't the sole distributors until Thor: The Dark World
Fun Fact: the almost copping a feel scene was not scripted. The actress genuinely got distracted and caught herself in time before she touched Chris Evans' pecs and they kept it in the movie. Lol
@@entropy3615 Haley Atwell, the actress, got distracted by Chris' pecs (understandably, they were literally right in her face) and involuntarily nearly touched them but caught herself in time and kept going with her lines so as to not ruin the scene completely but everyone thought it was hilarious, so they kept it for the movie.
One thing I love about Dylan's videos is the comment section: we can always find great comments with thousands of likes. That shows me that we are not only a community that watches movies with a random guy every monday, but also in sort of a movie club! What a life, huh?
I have never laughed so hard. 8:47 - when Stanley Tucci said 'you must promise me one thing' and then a commercial appeared and the first word uttered was 'dinner'. 😂
Dylan complaining what the percentage means gave me flashbacks to math teachers yelling at me for not putting units even when you get the answer correct, “12 what? Miles? Apples? Washing machines?”
I have to say I don't think we've had many GUT PUNCH endings in most Marvel movies but "I had a date" just hits different. Even BEFORE all the other movies. Imagine waking up in an entirely different decade, YEARS have passed....Cap's story as a soldier lost in time is pretty damn tragic when you think about it. And it makes the ending of Avengers: Endgame so satisfying.
@@goldenghost2001 he literally becomes the antithesis of himself by going back to the 40s. It’s also really messed up that they erased the family Peggy had and basically made her a trophy.
@@xoch1717 ok so not only did you not understand how the time travel worked in the movie, you also are of the mindset that Peggy was "won" rather than them being reunited. Cap lived in a world outside his own for a decade or so, meanwhile Peggy stayed in her time. It probably was a few months past Caps disappearance when he came back. She even stated she still loved him in the "present" timeline. I think you either just didnt understand, over thought it, or think you sound smart by being contraian amd different. Any of these outcomes are stupid
@@goldenghost2001 The time travel lore was never even explained in the movie. I watched it twice and read articles/interviews afterwards so I could write a report on it. How does Steve going back to Peggy in an alternate timeline make this any better? It’s entirely selfish (out of character) and weird because he has known Peggy in the modern world far longer than he knew her in the 40’s. She told him she lived a long happy life when he visited her in the hospital. Their reunion was so forced they had to build up to it by showing Steve during the blip mourning and talking about a woman that died of old age years before instead of his best friends. It’s completely nonsensical and off putting. What is Steve doing in the 40s alternate timeline? He wouldn’t be able to uphold his moral code if he has to refrain from interfering with all the bad events he knows are to come. Including shield (created by Peggy) becoming infiltrated by hydra. Or Bucky being tortured for 70 years. Even in age of ultron he tells tony that the guy who wanted the “white picket fence” is gone. In that same movie his nightmare is being back in the 40s with Peggy and being offered the quiet life. Also his whole trilogy practically revolves around Bucky so why would he abandon him? It was poor writing and a cheap send off.
Watching you watch this is fun, especially because I have an exam in an hour. Anyway, I actually admire the Peggy and Cap story because Cap kept his promise and was never late to the dance. He did go back in time after End Game and kept his date with Peggy.
I can’t wait to see Dylan watching Captain America and the Winter Soldier. I’m sure he can love the fighting scenes that are without any weapon but hands and knifes (and shield of course)
Dylan, the space button in Disney ALWAYS adapts to the last thing you did with the mouse. Like when you click „languages“ last, next time you use the space button, it’s gonna open „languages“. So if you do, just click „play“ and „pause“ and it’s gonna pause and play with the space button after!!!
The woman Dylan was confused about at 17:10 is played by the same actress as Star-Lord's mom, which could explain why Dylan found her so familiar. If I remember correctly, she was later retconned to be Star-Lord's grandmother.
dylan now HAS to watch the winter solider. i'd pay to watch him watch that, easily my favourite movie in the mcu and dylan may like the twist... and also that one shirtless scene
@@OggaBogga132 oh absolutely. the way they structure the story and reveals was so good. they really need to do this again. OMG HE SHOULD WATCH FIRST AND LAST OF MOONKNIGHT LMAOOO
Most people: *react in disgust to Red Skull removing (and then subsequently discarding) his flesh mask* Dylan: *over-analyzes how he would breathe through his nose* 😆
Dylan, you must not forget that phase 1 of the MCU was pre-disney. The first 2 Iron Man films, show that Tony Stark is an Alcoholic. Disney would never allow that (also, they low-key removed his struggles and depression from the disney deal films)
The woman at 17:16 was familiar to me too and it clicked that she’s the same actress as Quill’s mom who died and it was confirmed that the actress plays both Quill’s Grandma and Mom😭
I hope we see more from Dylan about the epic romantic drama that is the Cap trilogy. We were only missing Bucky content but it's undeniable in Winter Soldier and Civil War. Steve and Bucky as Marvel's most epic romance.
16:03, during this scene, as Red Skull explains about power, he quickly counts how many people he's going to kill. It's a nice small thing, easily something to miss but that attention to detail is solid,
3:54 This is a Marvel movie, they didn’t want to spend a whole lot of time putting subtitles on the movies for the movie theaters, they made the German characters speak English to make it easier on everybody in the movie and everybody watching the movie.
Hi Dylan, Not sure if you'll see this but I just want to say thank you for all effort that you put into your content. Whenever I am feeling down or unhappy I watch your videos and they always help cheer me up. I am so glad that I found your channel last year, you have made my life infinitely better. Please take care of yourself and know that we all love and support you!
SUPER excited for the friends reaction! My boyfriend and I are just now watching it together (i've watched it before on my own), but I'm glad to have a recap before diving into your reaction!
LOVE the captain america films, hope you'll watch the rest if you haven't seen them already too because the winter soldier is arguably the best of them all. Chris Evans is such a brilliant Captain America it's unreal. Glad you enjoyed it!! ❤
dylan about stanley tucci: "mmh I wonder if he's evil. cuz he's too big of an actor to just be like a DoCtOr who's going to give him his powers and then be gOnE. i feel like he's going to be evil" stanley tucci: *doctor who dies instantly*
My favorite part about Dylan’s videos is the never ending battle with space bar not pausing correctly 😂😂😂 him slowly losing his mind every time he tries to pause makes me laugh without fail
No matter how many times i watch Dylan react to something, i can always come back, rewatch it, and never be disappointed with his commentary. It'd be dope to watch a movie with him lol.
As a hardcore Marvel fan, I love watching Dylan have fun with the movie it just makes me happy. Its what me and my friends do all the time, and the movie gets 10 times better with the commentary.🙌
