@pies_man actually the opposite. People were waaaaay more forgiving of this kind of content in the mid-2000’s I wonder if it would have actually done better then. Now if it had come out around now, it would have definitely been on adult swim
@@orcastrike7750 I think it was more controversial, but people were more willing to admit they were wrong about something or let it go if the content was solid. Nowadays, cancel culture stops that from happening. So, yeah, it most def would have been on Adult Swim. I'm glad it came out when it did.

Look up the original pilot. 2 in the am/pm it was gonna be on adult swim and starts with them eating some weed candy but it ends up actually being lsd.
I really think CN had a pretty good concept for Regular show. A show with a somewhat older demographic to lead into Adult Swim without actually crossing into that territory itself... It was CN at its most free. Hell, one of the most memorable quotes from RS is "You pissed me off", although I think they softened that line for later airings in earlier timeslots.
This was one of the best shows i've ever heard not because of how weird it was, but because of my uncontrollable imagination fuming as I watch every episode like a fever dream.
This was such a tween/teen show. (Which was about the time that I first saw it) From the pelvic thrust of death to the "kind" of party's muscle man wants to have!
I can't ever forget these jokes when I was young, literally having kid and adult humor in shows like ICarly and Chowder makes it more fun and entertaining! Which is why on my opinion the new ICarly is entertaining and all but it still deserves to have kid humor cause adult and kid humor balances the verity of the shows, take away the kid humor of the shows and it's a little boring or take out the adult humor and it's just too much that it doesn't make it fun. Which is why I love these type of shows, I love it when they have kid and adult humor to balance the humor of the shows and make them more entertaining and enjoyable to watch!

This show was definitely laden with all kinds of innuendo. Also, between this and adult swim, I have come to the conclusion that Unicorns are certified "dicks" and "a-holes".
the unicorn slump always got me. That is probably the CLOSEST I think any show has ever gotten to having an episode banned, but without crossing that line. I was rewatching the show last week, and when I first heard this I stopped what I as doing to rewind and watch it again, just to make sure that as what he said. SUPER close one right there.
1:46 When I first saw this on tv in the UK, it cut right after Muscle Man says “surprised”, I had no clue the joke was censored until years later. They cut so much shit out here, they didn’t allow “crap”, they cut those cut aways with the unicorns, and even censored Rigby saying “how in the H are we gonna fix this S” to “How in the H are we gonna fix this hole”😂
I remember one part when rigby said “why that’s just some chick flick and not even the good kind I’ve seen the previews they’re just gonna talk about there feeling F U L L Y C L O T H E D”
