I have almost 1800hrs. I started playing because airplane game, went though a breakup and it became my depression game. Finally got out of my horrible mind state and I still play WT because I'm good at it now, I haven't been good at a game since high-school

yeah, i feel ya man. lately I've been playing 1 or 2 matches a day just for the daily reward. I think they might add the aim120 soon because they did a datamine where they found an aim120 decal, so hopefully it changes how people play the game for the better.

I feel you homie, it gets real tideous at the top, grinding for different nations may fr feel satisfying, no cap, but in the end, your right, it all feels the same on strategy and in flying

True....i am burned out too.Its the same thing over and over again.And its made even wors by the MM and BR compression.Unless you just like to get clubbed by a meta plane,you have to play with a small number of vehicle to be competitive.

I love how a part of this community genuinely can’t have self-control and claim the game is abusive on them; despite forgetting this is a video game. I’m a War Thunder veteran and I love this game, no game is perfect. But if all you do is complain then just leave, we don’t want you here.

as a veteran my plan to not get bored is to grind everything in the game ! if one day comes and i have them all and the game state is the same then man im gonna quit ! nowdays i cant play su27 or any top tier plane that i have spaded cuz is boring after you grind mods, one fun gamemode was world war ! i liked playing and making the strategy on the table but they still give us that deathmatch for 10 years i play nothing changed at all...

War Thunder is World of Warcraft but backwards. In WoW, you have to blaze through the boring leveling process in order to reach the max level (or top tier) where you finally start to have fun. War Thunder on the other hand, the process of getting to top tier is where the fun is at, but when you reach it, you realize just how boring it is and either stop playing or go back to lower tiers.

I agree about the game getting homogeneous at top tier. Probably why Oddballz sticks to WW2. But that don't matter when players leave after 1st death. (Ground RB)

I agree, top tier and air rb in general has always been much of the same. If anything it has gotten worse over time. The general skill level in air rb is extremely low, it is extremely easy and the mode is not engaging whatsoever. The last time I have grinded to top tier was in the Apex Predators update because the MiG-29 is my favorite plane. I soon stopped playing air rb, the gameplay was so unfun that I didn’t even bother to spade the MiG. Nowadays, I don’t even touch air rb, it’s not very fun. I have moved entirely to ground rb. Ground rb is leagues better in terms of gameplay than air rb is. Nowadays I don’t grind for vehicles, I grind for lineups I think are fun, and then I spend all my time bouncing around different battleratings, different lineups, and different nations. It’s much more fun. I would recommend trying it.

Yeah, that's one reason, for me Air RB is just boring and has no real challenge, ground RB is where the fun is, even on higher tiers.

they need to reintroduce NATO VS china+ russia teams setup back, for cold war + jets, just like you said, its boring to face same planes in mixed Matches, it deletes that sence of Skill actually matter remeber the times when mig15 were going vs sabers teams? yea we need that type of matchmaker to come back

Hey old pal, there's never a wrong time to do a stand or to leave. I had the same experience even out of gaming, I would literally hear RWR sounds in my daily life. An idea would be to leave content creation at least of war thunder? I mean, it would be the best for your health xD. I'd love to see other CCs quit to make gaijin change. Anyways, wish you the best

1. there is no story, just take and play. 2. the matchmaking with diffrent countries is totally transgender, you cant just put america with russia together when they have a conflict irl. there is even a dynamic campaign. why not in realistic battles? politics blah blah, but you still can bombing in vietnam and afghanistan maps... gaijin erasing history as it was once. so there are no enemys, no history, no background. just play :)))) 3. no voicechat, espacially in Sim Battles its important and easier to say where and in what position you are. 4. camera view, these views making the vehicle looks small and more like a (childish toy) 5. amount of players in top tier, WW2 and cold war is something diffrent. but i never seen 14 abrams fighting against 14 T-90s or 14 f-16s against 14 su-27s. its just chaotic and feels more arcade like. there are no dogfights anymore, just luck

hey, i know what you mean. im probably on my second warthunder break now, im playing some dcs mostly, i learned the f16 and am gonna start with the f18 soon probably. if they would just listen to like what the majority of the community that tells them what they think thinks, the game might be able to become what it can become, but currently they only apply some minor changes but dont adress the elephant in the room, the fact that the servers are running on 900 year old hamsters that occasionally die and just barely get reanimated. and the way the matches work still the same after 10 years of the game being out in the wild.

Arcade/Realistic is really just the tutorial. Play SIM, you will re-discover the game in its true form. Been here since 2015, can't have enough of it.

I play Sim, It can be a bit tedious at top tier but pretty solid at lower BRs.
