@@michagajewski3878Kate is literally the main antagonist of the show😂😂what are you lads talking about? All they did was show the reasons as to why she is the way she is, but they didn’t make her the hero or the “victim”
Seth Rogen can't write dialogue for shit. You can tell when Seth was involved based on the lack of subtlety "You're a white guy" "Pewdiepie is a Nazi" *Siding with Amber Heard and using Johnny Depp as a reference to making "false accusations"*
I dropped this show halfway through the first episode and thought I'd dodged a bullet. Now I realise I actually dodged an artillery strike. Thank you Reaper for suffering through this crap so the rest of us don't have to.
The writers hate how the fans love Homelander, who is a Trump metaphor (their words, not mine). So he does appear at the end, but he attacks the person the writers think we root for (spoiler, I didn't care).
Homelander is virtually nothing like President Trump; but this is the same show that sees Johnny Depp as the abuser and Amber Heard as the victim. Clearly these hollyweird writers live in their own perverse fantasy world.
I'm now convinced that the show runners Don't have balls to kill off their characters, they were afraid to kill off the Queen Maeve, they were afraid to kill off soldier boy, they were afraid to kill off the A-train and they were afraid to kill off Mary.
This is a plague of modern franchise filmmaking. Trying to make everyone feel comfortable all the time and always keeping every option for spin offs and merchandise open. You think that wouldn't be as much of an issue with a very adult oriented show like this but in reality these are just edgy kids shows. There are no real adult sensibilities at all.
It's not being afraid to kill a character off, it's keeping them around cause their arcs aren't finished yet, it keeps suspense and intrigue, also because Soldier Boy not being killed off is obvious, honestly with how much the fake scottish guy talks about Obvious Plot moments, I'm surprised you haven't heard of something called "Character Arcs" but whatever you can continue to know how to write a story, if that makes the grief of watching 24 hours of a show you had to the choice to watch better.
Say what you want about this show but AI would make something 100,000 times more soulless and corporate than Gen V. I’d rather have human writers make a “shitty” show than AI any day
The reason this show exists is the same as the characters not caring about getting roofied. It exists so that the executives can have a lot of teenagers on set that are willing to go the extra mile to get ahead of the other actors.
For years I've been petitioning for Matt Berry to be in everything that is made. He just makes everything so much better. It would be a lot of work for him, but if thats what it takes he is going to have to man up and get on.
when kimiko found out the supe was her brother is a perfect example of a good delivery we went evil supes to forced gay relationships almost like the creators dont gaf voughts movies are as corny as this tbh
@@The.Ravager_MMA there was that minor character who could elongate his downstairs area. That's the main power which is gross. And there were disgusting applications of power with Termite and the Deep. The only really gross application of power I can think of with GenV is Emma.
On another level, I am disturbed by the fact that these young adults casually kill the guards. They are just working there, they are not the ones responsible for the confinement of the other college kids.
Not all heroes wear capes. You Sir having to watch the utter shite they call entertainment, makes you mine. Seriously, I've tried watching it and I don't even think I've managed 15 minutes. Respect.
00:07 shouldnt she be displacing all the water in the pool because she's massive? shouldnt it be overflowing? - If she got black-out drunk, wouldnt she have thrown up thereby making her tiny, or at least normal sized? - It annoyed me when period girl destroyed her tracker, surely that would tell the people tracking her that she found out about them, right? - How did they track the schizophrenic to the drain but lose him when he went to the drive in theatre which is in a more public area im assuming and he would have gotten there by foot) - The schizophrenic SHOULD be kept detained. He's killed innocent people and he has trouble telling reality from fantasy. It's charitable for them to have kept him alive. - it's over 6 episodes in and I couldnt tell you what the plot is. (are they trying to destroy the prison that's directly below their school? I think the villain wants to genocide superheroes?)
@@mr.punisher5100yeah, and I'm sure that won't be a big old stinker that's barely propped up by older more established stars, instead of a bunch of shallow, awful actors.
I also don't get Cate's limitation when it comes to her power. If I remeber correctly (and I may not bcs this show is a joke), at the beginning at the show, she could barely walk after mindcontroling 2 people. In the episode 6, she does it to whole group and seems completely fine and I won't even talk about next episodes.
Dude, she cucks white men with black men. That's about as woke as it gets, so she can do whatever she likes! Anyone who cheats on their white bfs with black dudes is a superhero. - The show.
yeah this is the nr 1 reason why I stopped watching and caring about super hero shows. inconsistent powers. that is the bare minimum rule nr1 you must follow with any special powered person. keep their power levels and abilities consistent and it will feel real. the biggest sinner to me was during endgame, when a mere human in the form of black widow, fought and kicked the ass of Proxima Midnight, one of the 4 generals of the black order, a being with super human strength. i walked out of the cinema. I mean she fought Luke Cage and they were evenly matched, fukin Luke Cage couldnt beat her
Speaking of lazy writing trope, I literally just read Frieren: Beyond Journey's End manga where the protag party had to learn about a powerful demon's memories in order to reverse engineer his curse on an entire city, while the manga author seamlessly merged the different characters' backstories and expositions into this part of the main story. A perfect showcase of how cliche writing trope done right. Seems like the writers for this show could learn a thing or two from the manga.
@@rajyavardhansingh4491 Yes it's an ongoing series and it's on Netflix. Started reading the manga months ago by pure chance not knowing the anime is out until recently haha. Highly recommended if you enjoy other series like Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash.
Jordan Li: Switches male when needed to be helplessly angry, confused, regretful. Switches female to be confident, sexy, instigate combat, and have joyless sex and even more pathetic orgasm. Despite waking up with no memories, female Jordan and Marie apparently start getting busy. The show doesn't even address a potential hesitation on Marie's part (due to I don't know ...heterosexuality). Really hit me over the head when in the memory female Jordan calls male Jordan a coward. How well would that have gone over in reverse?
I can’t lie you have a point with the Soldier Boy Critique, he should be more akin to Captain America than the inversion of Cap that he was in season 3
Didnt think this many people didnt like it. Its not my favorite but i didnt hate it, all i can say about it is its trying to be like the boys while also trying to be different.
That's essentially what it is. Basically the last two episodes still ties everything together with The Boys which honestly is the only interesting piece of this show everything else is utterly pointless even the characters who appear from The Boys like Ashley and her Beta soyboy fuckboy. Even the senator woman who we just learn her powers aren't just exploding heads it's actually the same as the main character of this show with controlling blood which is stupid since that basically means 1 outta 8 supes can develop the same powers as another
@@DarkseidsolosfictionThe thing is The Boys started strong the first season since it had every character come together for legitimate reasons and all of them had personal loses from Supes even had a grudge with Vought for using them for selfish means like Kimiko (The Lady) being made as a weapon. Despite how season 2 even 3 which it was a slight dip they all still had motivation and a reason to still work together even if Butcher and Homelander steal the show given how much both actors have great charisma and great on screen presence. Hughie was annoying throughout season 1 and 2 but the end of season 2 he actually grew up and didn't have his typical panic attacks which was very annoying of his character plus it was great him pissed being viewed as the weak guy always needed saving so when they used Temp V and he developed powers it was good arc seeing him actually feel like a grown man past his traumas and wanting to be respected by everyone even get back at A-train. Gen V none of the characters have any chemistry and no reason to work together even despite having learned that conspiracy of the Woods. They all hate each other and all are shitty people
You kinda noticed than me at figuring out Kate because i did not pay attention much. I dropped after ep 5 because my Amazon Prime ran out. And now I'm watching Gen V from you instead. I gotta say this is really entertaining
I watched the first two episodes and then just videos summarizing them. I regret watching them all. The bar is low. Way too low. And now the internet is full of people trying to gaslight us into thinking it was a good show.
@@raymondsims7042 Not only the plot isn't interesting but they slow it down by adding extra gore scenes (and there is so much of them that they lose their shocking value). Since it's a super woke show on top of it, the villain will probably be the whitest person of the show, which removes the last mystery remaining. And all the characters are still looking for their long lost charisma. I rarely quit when i watch a serie but on that case it was an easy decision. Just to sum it up the producers wanted to seduce the young audience with a cheap recipe. Gore & sex. The only originality is that "you can show dicks but no titties" policy.
How much underage/furry/loli is in S2, cause I couldn't enjoy watching really any of season 1 especially after the tone is just psycho superman written by middle schooler?
The only point of this show is to give these "writers" a platform to express their woke propaganda bullshit, in a piss poor high school character drama. A better show and better writers would've used this premise of high schoolers with super powers, to deconstruct the idea of what makes a hero, the struggle of them mastering their powers, and whether not being an "official" hero would be better than being a vigilante or anti-heri, or hell, even villain based on their ideals and powers in general. No one gives two shits about modern day social politics, in a world where there are people with super powers, running amok. We've seen it done better in The Boys, with the adults, this could've been the same, but with teen angst, or something. What a waste of potential for something more interesting than this trash. And I still can't believe they made a character's super power about changing their gender...like what the actual fuck, you'd think the Trans community would be up in arms about that. That's not a power, and it's utterly useless; if they were going to go that route, they should've just went with shape shifting, or something similar to Marvel's X-Men Mystique.
From is the most infuriating show. So much promise but nope. They keep coming up with new “mysteries” instead of solving anything. & nobody talks to each other to piece together whatever information they have to try & figure out what’s happening. It feels like the writers are writing a story backwards.
I'm not sure if I even made it to 5. Is that the one where they go into miss mind r*pes head and then forgive her for all the horrible things she did. F this show.
Imagine the scene of these people being presented to Homelander as potential heroes. *Stares Homerlanderly* "Really, Ashley? This is the best you got? A bunch of damn kids?" "They're young and dynamic and have useful powers. She can change minds by touching people." *Sarcastic homelander nods* "Oh? Yea? Okay, well what happens if I do this." *Lasers half of them* "Oh my god." "What good are mind powers, Ashley, if they need to get close? Huh?! Fucking. Useless!" *Homelanderly scoff* "And who the fuck cares what people are thinking anyway?" "She... she was able to grow big and small..." "What the fuck is that good for? I stepped on the last guy who could do that because it's fucking stupid. And gross too, you should know that." *Homelanderly breathin in Ashley's face.* "It's not about their powers, I swear, they are flexible, you just need to find..." *Homelander breaks the remainder of them in half* "Now they're flexible. Don't. Don't, bring me shit like this again Ash, I swear to God, I'll dress you in their innards next time" *Ashley stares at the bloodbath as Homelander flies off*
