Think you forgot she also had her arms crossed alot in the Clone Wars and Rebels? It is litterally her signature pose at this point, rewatch Clone Wars again and tell me you do not see her cross her arms once
"Nothing Ahsoka does matters at all because the Palpatines win in the end." So True, nothing Disney does with any of their Star Wars shows matter because in the end everything all the Rebels did and died for in the original films gets undone in the Disney trilogy, along with the destruction of our favorite characters.
In fact, this phrase explains, perhaps, why I - but, I guess, other people too - can't see the products of the Disney era (except for Rogue One, which has its own reason for existing, and Andor, which I haven't seen) as belonging to the star wars universe. I'm not sure how to explain it: I enjoyed Clone Wars a lot, but I find it hard to include it in the world created by Lucas. Episode I, II and III despite their flaws and differences from the original trilogy, I conceive them as fundamental pieces of the Star Wars macro plot. Instead The Mandalorian has (had?) as its ultimate goal lead to Snoke (at least, so it seemed to me). Ahsoka seems to want to arrive at the birth of the first order ... in short, everything seems to point towards a trilogy done badly, and born only to make money, without a real project behind it.
Remember that Ashokas sabers were so hot that it cut through 6 inch stone in a matter of seconds, but somehow Sabine or all the other people except Qui Gon survive being impaled by a saber. Why are y’all still giving this company money?
@@oXRaptorzXo I see you keep bringing up the same retarded point thinking you're a super genius, so I'm just going to debunk your idiotic copy pasta: 1. The real reason Qui-Gon lasted as long as he did is for narrative reasons, to tell Obi-Wan before he dies "to train the boy" which is something every movie, show, book, or game has done since ever. 2. The time from Qui-Gon getting stabbed, Obi-Wan waiting for the shield to go down, and then dueling Maul lasted exactly two minutes. Qui-Gon could have been holding on to life using the force, but even if this was the case he was fading fast. He had enough time to instruct Obi-Wan to take Anakin in as his apprentice and immediately expired after the fact. There was no force healing, no time travel, no visit to the emergency room, he had 2 minutes of life and that was it. So what you want everyone to believe is that Sabine was found, immediately taken from bumfuck no where to an ER, and had a lightsaber wound under the breast and directly into her right lung immediately remedied within the timeframe of two minutes? You are a goddamn moron if you think Qui-Gon holding on for 2 minutes before dying to a lightsaber wound to the stomach is at all similar to this situation lmao. By your dip shit logic Qui-Gon was in a palace with more than likely the highest end medical droids in the event that someone as important as Naboo royalty would end up sick or injured and didn't survive. Sabine gets stabbed in the torso in the middle of nowhere completely alone and no one could possibly reach her, but she lives. Promptly go fuck yourself you stupid tit.
The surviving being stabbed with the lightsaber really needs to stop. If that blade is as hot as we are told it is it should be like instant death. No one should be able to survive that let alone the gaping hole in their body.
Lighsabers can melt though metal and cut rocks like paper. It would litterally leave a crater of dead, burned flesh with every blood vessels and cells around the wound eseentially being nuked immediately. It would sever tons of key blood vessels and immediately burst or cauterize them, leading to gigantic loss of blood pressure all around the body and death... You would be left it a gigantic cater of burned flesh, necrosis and blood vessels no longer delivering blood all over the body. And that's not even accounting for the fact there's key organs like lungs / kidneys/intenstines and stomach in the area that would probably also be severly damaged in the process. I mean even stabbing someone through with a sharp metal sword would probably kill them, but we're supposed to believe a beam of pure plasma would leave a small burn marks and no lasting damage. B.S
Vader is hit many times by lightsaber and walks it off almost every character loses an arm in star wars. So by what you say star wars in itself is stupid
@davidfrederiksen3185 how is getting hit in the shoulder with armour and robotic limbs the same as being impaled in your guts. People say anything on the net😣🤣
I hate that lightsabers have essentially been boiled down to a glowing baseball bat that does no damage at all, the worst offender was in the kenobi series where it bounces several times off a storm trooper.
Agreed. Said baseball thing works in Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor because that's a video game and it can't be that easy. But it seems the movies and shows took this literally and made the lightsabers useless
@@lucifermagne7458 the fact you bring up fallen order as a direct comparison is interesting because it goes deeper than just the lightsabers behaving the same way, the plot & character arc in kenobi & fallen order are almost the exact same, it’s actually crazy. The way he infiltrated the inquisition base is the same, the breaking of the glass is the same there’s so many plot points and beats that are the exact same
@@lucifermagne7458 & also would love to see a Star Wars game where the combat is somewhat similar to for honour, kingdom come deliverance etc where it’s mostly about parrying attacks and when you do land an attack it’s fatal to the opponent.
@@bruhdon4748 it's good in Fallen Order because those things were new and cool. But when you do the same thing in a completely different show, it becomes bland. If Kenobi had done it first, it'd be better. Kenobi would still be a piece of shit show, but those specific comparisons wouldn't have felt used too much
@@ottomanwilde4836 hmm let me think… is it all his characters surviving what should be fatal lightsaber wounds? Noooo! Couldn’t be that! Is it the insistence to put Ahsoka into everything even when she has no place in certain shows? Can’t be that! And it most certainly can’t be all the retcons and character demolitions can it? Well we definitely know it’s not Ahsoka implying the Jedi deserved their own genocide and training someone who isn’t force sensitive
There is a big, big difference between writing for an animated series and writing for live action, and this has become painfully apparent post Clone Wars and Rebels.
Lets not pretend rebels or clone wars was any good anyway lol. Clone wars is 2 decent episodes because dooku apears in them then 20 fillers . Repeat for 6 seassons and you got clone wars. Rebels is a joke that dropped even in the mesh departament which made the animation look horrible
Also wasn’t he not an actual writer for the clone wars except for a couple random episodes. He was more the creative head then an actual writer. Which really shows that he’s not actually a professional writer.
It feels touched by the dead hand that is Kathleen Kennedy. "Basically, everything needs more strong female characters, make the men weak and feeble and ideally kill them off as soon as possible, especially the old white guys. The Force is Wamen". Thanks Kathleen
To be fair, the old white man in this show is amazing. I really like Baylan Skoll, he was fun when had his moments. The sad thing is that the actor actually did pass away. I would have loved to see more of him. In regards to male presence in the story, we can assume that Ezra and Thrawn will be in the story soon and at least Thrawn will (hopefully) be an important and strong presence.
Nah, this show reeks of Filoni's c*m socks, he literally made his OC be the most important character in Star Wars and responsible for half of the events
I would dare say that if you are intimately versed in Rebels and Clone Wars, this series will be extremely aggravating to watch. What does it say about a writer who wont even respect his own past works when building off of them? My suspicion is that Dave Filoni didn't have as much writing credit in Clone Wars and Rebels as we have all been led to believe. I think he's been carried by more talented people and we are witnessing him on his own for the first time.
I am very familiar with both shows and have enjoyed these 2 episodes so far. In fact, most fans have. Idk how this channel got recommended to me but people are nut cases if they think this shows is as bad as they say it is. Yall trippin, especially considering recent stuff like Mando s3 (was good but picked up pace like the last 2 episodes), obi, and boba. Dave could've used a little extra help with writing but really it's not that bad. Honestly star wars fans are the worst people to please
@@mrgermanvono35 I agree. I've watched both shows beforehand and enjoyed these past two episodes. Sad to see some people just sh*t on this with no constructive criticism. Also I totally agree that Star Wars fans are just the worst to please.
@@barlosjimbo5200well these channels make money off the hate so not having on Disney especially when there is majority woman Leeds could hurt their Salary
@barlosjimbo5200 yeah. I've definitely seen reviews of the show with good constructive criticism but also worthwhile praise. A lot of Fandom are hard to please, but start wars especially so. Lately it's been warranted since our expectations have not been met when there has been some really good stuff recently, then we get Bobf and obi wan..
After watching CLONE WARS, REBELS and now THIS, I am convinced Dave has a life size sex robot of Ahsoka in his office. Not Rosario Dawson Ahsoka, but the CLONE WARS Ahsoka. Nahmeen? 😅
A more important question is why does an ruined ancient temple that could be thousands of years old have a gold sphere with a map to modern day Thrawn?
It's not a map to thrawn, it's a map to where he was taken by the purgil. The implication is the that the night sisters tracked the purgil routes between galaxies. So they found a map that shows where the Purgil would have gone.
@@mrgermanvono35 I supposed that makes slightly more sense, but if its a map of different routes the night sisters took how could they identify which one Thrawn followed? Do they just travel each one infinitely until they find him? Better yet what's the guarantee he's even still there? I still think its just as dumb as both Luke and Palpatine having maps to reach their secret hideouts when both never wanted to be found.
@@j.avance9031I mean that guy just made the purgill thing up. Really it’s just a map to a planet. I’m assuming there’s something significant about the planet and that’s why Thrawn is there specifically.

I feel like fans are afraid of admitting how bad it is because they hold Filoni in such high regard; but let's be honest, his best work was on Clone Wars when he was part of a big creative team and not in charge. Mandalorian is a mixed bag, ranging from dull to good to hot trash.
@@crazyralph6386Eh, a lot of people do genuinely like these first two episodes. I've never been big on Filoni myself and I found this show so far to be decent. But it seems these days one has to be either baying for blood or sucking Disney's dick, middle-ground takes seem forbidden nowadays.
His best work was Clone wars, and that was when he was with George Lucas lmao; When he was given free reign in season 7, you easily see how he blunders it; spends half a season on twin sisters no one gives damn about, but the finale was pretty good
Sucks cause I really wanted an Ahsoka show since the character was really badass in the Mandalorian... But alas it's clearly live action Rebels, which I never cared about, with the main character being Sabine which I find insufferable.
I’m old enough to remember when Ahsoka, Sabine, and Hera all had distinct personalities. Ahsoka showed more emotion in Rebels than she ever did in this show.
I’m old enough to remember when people didn’t judge an entire show based on 2 episodes and when Star Wars fans weren’t a bunch of salty losers crying about the most meaningless stuff 😂
Dave Filoni's stories always feel like the pen and paper rpg stories that I came up with on the fly when the guys wanted to play a game unexpectedly. You're here, this person contacts you, you have to find this and then defeat the boss.
@@davidfrederiksen3185 When your job involves being a writer and director, yes, that's a bad thing. A very bad thing, in fact. Star Wars under George Lucas took inspirations from many sources like Akira Kurosawa (The Hidden Fortress), John Ford (The Searchers), Fritz Lang (Metropolis), and even used Leni Riefenstahl's infamous propaganda film, Triumph of the Will, as inspiration for the storm trooper marches. Many of the greatest pieces of art were influenced by other things, especially in the cases of film or television. If Lucasfilm wants Star Wars to stay alive, they need to go back to the well for inspiration (Kurosawa and Ford would be great starting points as they made MANY great films that are highly influential to this very day), as well as fire a number of bumbling hacks running the company. As a writer and director, Filoni needs to study others in his field of work. He could learn a lot that could greatly benefit the franchise he wants to create for, rather than let it become stagnant and devolve completely into dreadful vanity/ideological projects.
@@davidfrederiksen3185 the bad thing is he doesn't love any other movies. Nods to Kurosawa. The point is you can't be a creative storyteller if youd don't know many interesting stories. You need to learn new things in art to get some inspiration and tell something that won't be repetetive
Rather than build a meaningful character from the ground up, they just have this Swiss Army knife character who just has all fucking skills that are completely inconsistent in other projects where the character appears
wait they gave her the force?.... didnt rebels go out of their way to tell us she does not have the force while kanan was training her to use the dark saber????
They didn’t give her the force. At the very most she can hear voices while she sleeps. The droid trainer robot said she had the lowest force sensitivity out of every Jedi he ever trained
@@ninvusoogoar6098 No it’s not. It’s not like you can just sense force sensitivity in anyone anyways, even Vader couldn’t sense Leia and she’s far stronger than Sabine. It actually explains her picking up saber fighting so fast in rebels and it doesn’t change anything cause it’s so minor
What's sad is, i've seen dawson in other movies and she is a good actress. I think the director told her to act like a plank so the character seems "badass". These people are confusing badass with boring.

The problems with Filoni, and why I've always thought he's a bit over-rated by fans: 1) Filoni writes in simple sentences almost exclusively, so the dialog sounds like it was written for a Little Golden Book. 2) He doesn't actually care that much about doing the work of characterization or character development, he just has a simple, unimaginative plot with a few minor twists and makes the characters do whatever moves the plot forward. 3) His directing/editing leaves weirdly long pauses between every line of dialog--particularly when the dialog swaps between characters--so everyone seems slow in the head.
@@masteryoda7207 True, but Clone Wars also had some very bad episodes, especially in the middle years of its run. Perhaps it all depends on who's supervising him, and who's on the team backing him up?
The force awakens was the death of the franchise. Only the wise saw it coming immediately. I remember watching it, and coming back from the movie heartbroken. I went on youtube and watched other viewers' rants and screams of hatred at the movie and smiled at how beautiful it was that others in this world could see the travesty that the movie was. I told people I knew shortly after watching the movie that it was ranked #1 as the worst film ever made in human history. My argument took into account both the quality of the script as well as the budget that the producers had to work with. Some say that The Last Jedi was worse. The Last Jedi was no surprise to me. It was a desecration of the corpse that was left from the first movie, and nothing more or less. The Mandalorian was a beautiful requiem and should be respected for that, but it did not revive the franchise. The franchise is dead.
"Only the wise." Oh, get off your high horse. I agree that Disney have sucked the soul out of the franchise, but there's no need to be so holier-than-thou about it. I actually thought TFA was pretty decent for what it was, but I didn't like that trilogy as a whole.
I dont get why the sith apprentice cant just decapitate sabine after being stab-melt in the abdomen to make sure she doesnt survive because apparently in disney starwars, being stab-melt still gives you a chance to live.
Imagine if the writers actually had the balls to kill off sabine in that episode. It would have changed the entire context and tone of the whole series, and given Ashoka an actual reason to become invested in the plot other than "empire bad" and added some emotional stakes Instead i turned it off the moment i saw her sit up in that hospital bed
@godisdead69420 how is she suddenly a Jedi? From what I recall of rebels only Kanan and Ezra (In the ghost crew or whatever they called themselves) were the force sensitive ones and she was a mandalorian, the closest she got to Jedi training was Kanan training her to use a lightsaber. You'd think Maul would detect it at least
@craigtucker7989 she's not. Ahsoka only really seemed to have trained her in jedi ways/lights aber combat. But already acknowledged her lack of force skills. Sabine is a mandalorian and probably looked to get more ways of training. We will probably find out more
@@Eugene_Blackthe droid in the show said that she had the lowest force sensitivity out of every Jedi he’s every trained (and he trained younglings for hundreds of years)

Why didn’t anyone do that? Why didn’t maul? Why didn’t palpatine? Such a stupid argument. If your looking for an explanation for all these things, i would guess it’s a mutual respect thing not to mutilate the body of the opponent
@@oXRaptorzXo sith only respect power, they delve into their hatred and anger to fight their opponents. They rarely respect them when they defeat them, in fact they have disdain for anyone too weak to beat them. The same thing applies to Maul although he was toying with Kenobi and Jinn in his arrogance, something Sidious despised in him. I disagree with Maul surviving his injury too, although as he's a Zabrak there is room to bullshit his physiology. Palpatine did, Anakin did and Vader did too. Even Obi-wan used a slash attack on Anakin. It makes even less sense when you factor in the force and their ability to sense it in others. They could easily tell whether their enemy is killed or wounded. In the end it's down to plot armour rather than practicality and it's too silly for my tastes.
Honestly at this point, videos like this that break down and criticize thus garbage with memes interspliced are infinitely more entertaining than the shows themselves. There should only be a handful of people watching this garbage for the sole purpose of making videos like this and the rest of us will just consume this content and not give any viewership for Disney or the other mega corps

It’s actually sad what happened to Dave Filoni. He was one of the biggest reasons the clone wars was so good and now he’s been reduced to someone who uses half the effort for double the price.
It looks to me that Filoni has “gone to the dark side.” They can’t make good Star Wars so they will retcon Legends they tried to toss away to try to save their asses.

Never really liked Sabine, she came off as someones OC mandalorian with her hot topic esque armor and being able to wield a light saber. The fact that she has been retconned to being force sensitive, meaning she will likely become a mandalorian jedi, now makes it even more obvious that she is someone's OC.

I think what bothers me most about Ahsoka is the fact that they have some actors and actresses that I really like in this show, they're just used poorly to terribly. I like Rosario Dawson (go watch her in Clerks II), I love David Tennant (my second favorite Doctor), Ray Stevenson (RIP he was dynamite as the Punisher), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim Vs The World), hell they even had the great Clancy Brown (Hadley from Shawshank Redemption and the Kurgan from Highlander) and they did absolutely nothing with the actors. Also, were they not able to get the rights to "Sabotage" for the scene with the gender studies major on the speeder bike? Another question: Wasn't this supposed to be a movie at one point? Because I remember this being announced as a movie.
True geeks know Clancy Brown as Rawhide, one of Buckaroo Banzai's Hong Kong Cavaliers! Hell, they even had an oscillation overthruster in Sabine's apartment!
The lightsaber stab that Sabine received should have been used as a tool for character development. It could have been something she has to slowly recover from, a constant reminder of her failure and weakness every time she trains and feels it ache with pain. But slowly, as she actually WORKS to get better at using the force and fighting with a lightsaber, her wound would also heal to symbolize her growth and moving away from the past. Eventually, by the end of the show when there will inevitably be a final battle, she would have grown enough as a fighter and force user that she would be able to beat the Sith characters, contrasting on her defeat in the first episode and reflecting on all her progress as a character. But of course, why have actual character development when we can have generic strong girlboss? I thought of this in only a few minutes while lying in bed. How professional writers cannot think of this removes my hope for Disney.
Of course, this doesn’t remove the fact that surviving a lightsaber stab to the gut is outrageously stupid in the first place, but at least they would actually use this wound for the plot and to build up her character. It wouldn’t just be some useless thing to move the plot forward and quickly end a fight scene that would have definitely ended with somebody (Sabine) dying.
Bruh, you don't come back from a lightsaber stab wound in the torso. By all accounts of internalized logic that has been used since the inception of this franchise, she should be dead. There is no recovery. Hell if they were going to just handwave it entirely it begs the question why even bother showing a character getting impaled by a lightsaber if they're going to shake it off like a fucking DBZ character? Just idiotic.
@@cooljim1376 Totally agree, but we all know that Disney isn’t about to kill off a girl boss. If we lived in a perfect world then Disney would know how lightsabers worked, but they don’t so I’m just trying to compensate for their stupidity and work with it to make a story that’s actually good.
Ahsoka is not some shopping girl she has been in a religion since she was a baby so has Sabine and herra has been a rebel for most of her life fighting like her father
Literally had the same thought about the characters - lifeless and dull. I wasn’t sold on Ahsoka on the Mandalorian and this show certainly has not done anything to change that. I am a fan of Rebels and honestly when the second episode was over I was really disappointed. I felt so let down. I really had hopes for this show. I love Ahsoka in the Clone Wars and Rebels. But this is shite. She was so adamant about not being a Jedi and now all of a sudden a Jedi with a padawan. Like you said with no force user ability at all. IMO the pacifist Satine was trillion times stronger person than her garbage spineless sister Booo who was a terrorist and slaver with no moral code. She ignored the Death Watch creed - the same creed she wanted her own sister dead for - the moment it didn´t suit her. Pre Vizsla was a j3rk but at least he practised what he preached and died in a duel to a better opponent. Boo is also the one who constantly whines and plays a victim. I don´t remember Satine whining and crying and self-victimizing herself to gain sympathy and manipulate others. And Boo-Karen can´t fight. It´s just that the enemies are standing around and waiting to be stabbed by her stuuupid attached blade. Stabbing is highly ineffective compared to cutting. The first thing an ex-military friend of mine reccommended to me when it comes to fighting with a knife was to cut chaoticaly and unpredictably, not to stab. Stabbing can be blocked easily, it is very predictable to the opponent where the stab is aiming. So Bo-Karen, the elite Mando wannabe, uses THE LEAST effective technique every time she "fights" with a knife. And her blade is attached to her armor, which makes the variability of the stabbing angles limited. It´s basically a glorified knuckleduster. LOL!
I hate that Kk has cut off Luke Skywalker's balls and they at Disney forced Ahsoka to grow a weiner! Not only that but to add insult to injury they basically called qui-gon-jinn a nancy-boy and implied that he was Weak and Powerless against being impaled by lightsaber which makes complete sense given that getting stabbed by a literal beam of superheated energy would instantly melt your internal organs making it impossible for you to live unless you're some kind of weird alien that can survive with organs in their head or something. However you look at it Kathleen Kennedy and some others are like the real world manifestation of evil because they have personally assassinated many good characters with compelling stories and interesting backgrounds, characters who have been portrayed by very talented men, beloved actors. The two top actors that I can think of would be Liam Neison and Mark Hamill characters that they've portrayed are numerous yet each performance given in my personal opinion was nigh Flawless and spoke to a degree of Godly Talent, for their characters to receive the kind of treatment they have in recent years I think it akin to personal insults to the actors themselves!
LOL! The comparison of hallway scenes killed me. :D Vader is deflecting the blaster shots, C´Baoth from Wish holds the saber and the enemies are deliberately shooting at it.
None of these women have the gravitas to pull this off, even if they were given the absolute best story and dialogue. Which they haven't. It's an ensemble that somehow manages to be less than the sum of its parts.
I remember the actress playing the title character repeating "Yaaaas yassss she be a leader, yasss" like this weird power hungry female mantra was supposed to be the applauded norm now
I think I'm noticing a pattern with this show... The bad guys are all white and blonde/light haired. The good guys are all black, green, or purple haired.
All black, green, or purple haired. Ahsoka is orange. Being played by a black actress doesn’t make her black. Hera is green cause she’s a twilek and she’s been green since her introduction in rebels. Sabine has also had purple hair always in rebels. What is your point lmao.
I don't have a problem of Sabine surviving if she got immediate medical attention that Qui-Gon did not. She's a major character and Disney isn't going to kill her in the first episode. What trips me out is how fast she healed like she's Wolverine. I don't know how long the time was between the end of Ep 1 and early Ep 2 but it felt like Sabine healed quickly and with no scarring. Even pregnant women who gets a cesarean will get scars. Did Indiana Jones pour holy water on Sabine with the Holy Grail?
It more like there no consequences to such a deadly weapon. Qui Gon dead in minutes. Anakin suffered third degree burns and was trap in a life support suit. If Sabrina was replaced with a random character, that characters would have been dead.
you know how many people would be left dead if they wanted them to be, when they get ran through you simply flick your wrist to finish cutting them in half. disney has turned lightsabers into nerf foam swords, int he movies they were leaving cuts on peoples faces like a traditional knife
