.. So far po. . Madali po saaming province and mga government transaction.. . Baka sa NCR lng matagal.. Kc ang daming tao.. Pareho lng ng pag process ni MR. Bulbul saamin.. Thin pag rush passport 1 week pag Hindi 2weeks yung passport.. .
In the Philippines (for some) if going in as a walk-in you need to take one day leave or be absent from work for the day. Go to DFA 4am-5am, hopefully be done after lunch, eat late lunch, commute home, eat dinner, sleep.
@@고니치-w2u true, i am half-korean and half-filipino. I have Korean passport and I renewed it in less than 5 minutes. It usually takes around that time in Korea. He corrected some of his info and that is why it took 17 minutes. I hope the Philippine system gets better soon.
now that's how you do it! easy as 1, 2, 3. walang mga incompetent na matatandang masungit sa mga window. wala masyadong unnecessary paperwork na kailangan kumpletuhin at pirmahan. maaliwalas ang lugar, presko at hindi ka pagpapawisan pumila. keep up naman sana yung iba't-ibang ahensya sa pilipinas.
Wow! That was quick and painless! Beyond compare with the passport process in the Philippines. Main problem in the Philippines is the company tasked with making the passport.
it took me 2 hours to finish renewing my passport and 3-4 business days later i got my passport, but i did do it in Butuan city, same with when i renewed it in Cebu city, it only took me 3-4 business days, 2-3 hours in DFA and waited 3 days for the passport.
I like how you address the service of different country even us we dont like how phil embassy processing our passport or any documents.. so slow.. hope it will change in the nearest future.. phil government is so left behind by other country
@Mr BulBul and commenters, I think the speed of Korea's passport renewal has to do with Korea's integrated information system. There is a national ID with a complete information database which is easier to manage. Countries like Korea and Japan have a quick process for renewal because the people's information is gathered into 1 centralized system for the past decades. The Philippines, on the other hand, had not adopted the system (until recently)because of 3 main reasons: 1. There are many systems that contain citizen information, not just one, and not all systems are aligned. 2. The Philippines has 111M Filipinos, not including mix-raced and foreign-citizenship Filipinos. This is double the amount of the population of Korea (around 50M as of last year) 3. The citizens lack trust in the government of the Philippines because they think that when there is an ID system in the country, all your information can be leaked and you can be manipulated by the government/threatened by other private citizens. This is unfortunate for the Philippine people, but I think this can still be fixed for sure. (Mr. BulBul doesn't want to compare, but I think this context should be highlighted for educational purposes of the commenters too :) )
Here in seoul, every district may passport department ang city hall. Unlike sa pinas na you really need to visit dfa. Sana sa pinas pwedi mag renew sa city hall para no need na dumayo yung taga ibang lugar just to apply ppt.
If only Philippines can adapt fast service in government offices that would be amazing but I guess that would be very hard to change. It's frustrating but we have to live with it. Filipino time is not and will never be a good thing.
It seems in countries I have visited the lower the level of government corruption the higher the service. Another tell is the cleaner the streets (less trash) the higher the level of service. The cleaner the air the higher the level of service. Seems all these things are connected. It may be related to tourism and business. The higher the profit margin on tourism and business the higher the level of service. I'm not sure if that's because the government would have more money to provide better service or the higher level of service generated the higher margin tourism and business. Kind of a chicken and the egg thing. I assume government has to get it's act together first and then more tourists come and locals can then charge more. For example the Philippines has the most beautiful beaches in the world, friendly people, English is common but when tourists come and there's trash on the beach and in the water they leave, never come back and tell their friends. So the only way to get any tourists is to be known for being cheap which brings in only tourists who don't like to spend money. It's a tough circle. Brazil has the exact same problem. It's kind of odd because it's so easy to solve by just picking up trash. The Philippines has very low labor costs and many people willing to work so trash shouldn't be a problem. It's one of the first things people ask about a destination..."Is it clean?" Instead of the Philippines tourists prefer to spend 3 times more to go to clean destinations. It has always puzzled me why such a simple and obvious solution isn't implemented. Singapore understood this and is now a favorite place for tourists and business with a GDP per capita of $59k USD (almost at US level) while Philippines is $3k. There are other reasons of course but all these signs seem to go together in different countries all over the world.
@@MrWaterbugdesign you've got a point there. Also in my observation countries that had been under the Spanish rule is a poor and corrupt country. It's frustrating tbh.
Im currently living in korea and my philippine passport is about to expire next year. good thing i saw your previous video in booking an appointment to Philippine Embassy. That's why I make an appointment right away instead of waiting for next year. Too sad, the latest available slot is still 8 months from now. Also, an error appeared when you are about to finish the confirmation (just like you have encountered) in their website. I dont know if it went through or not. I called the philippine embassy multiple times and they are not answering. Now I emailed them and let's see if they will respond. I am dissapointed on our embassy's services. They should benchmark how the korean system do these things.
officials in the dfa are very intelligent .they scrutize all the information about you thats why it will take a year before you get your passport .they are the most competent employees in the whole universe.ha ha
Now that is what you call a real "Public SERVICE". Transacting to any government offices should not be a burden and to waste time.....Just by this alone, it tells the whole world why South Korea is a First World Country.
to compare 111,575,917 M (as of Nov. 2021) population of the PH to the 51.78M population of South Korea with the advancement in technology & other services...what can I say...
Renewal process in PH is relatively fast as well (huge improvement compared to a decade ago). However, what takes long is actually the queuing due to huge number of applicants.
@@sharescene-stories9332 hmm I wouldn't say dahil kay Pduts, dahil even during PNoy's time nagimprove na rin. It's really about automation of processes and removing the fixers (aka insider tambays).
I feel the difference between korea and Philippines in this vid no hassle in process but here in the phil you will wait for 6 month for booking and if are unfortunate u will get a book by next year after that you will wake up early to process and wait in line about 4 to 6 hours and then present the necessary requirements then you wait about 1 week to get your passport but before you get it you will wait for another 2 to 3 hours in line before you get the passport it's soooooooo much hassle here in Philippines....
Seriously po bka po ikaw ang may problema ako nsa hk ako ng online appointment s kapatid k minutes lng nkakuha ako then pgpunta kptd k dfa legaspi d nga cla inabot ng 30min tpos n after 3weeks nkuha ny n deliver s bhy mismo 😁alm k gngwang negosyo ng iba ang pg online apointment kung gusto mo madali madaling araw k mg online appointment kc d ng hang ang system
South korea A)1st world country B)advance technology(which make everything easy, one's identity is all restored in a computer)just 1click away! C.lesser population(half percentage of philippines population)the lesser, the more organized. While Philippines, you know🤷♀️
I think kaya siguro ganyan kabilis kasi me database na sila ng personal information. Ung form na finill-upan is just formality that he applied for a passport. No need for encoding, no need for waiting. Just little validation regarding information, then you are good to go.
The difference between a first world country and a third world country. I've witnessed this personally myself. There's a reason why the Philippines is called the sick man of Asia.
Well thats way better or should i say best service i have seen. In MECO office in Taipei it should take half of your day. And no camera recording allowed. Coz might see the tardiness of the people working inside the office
For the US, we had to bring our minor daughter to the post office or city hall along with picture. All forms are online and filled ahead of time prior to going in to submit application form. Out in less than 5 minutes. If not in a hurry to leave the US, passport will come in the mail in less than a month. 18 and up with previous passport, all can be submitted in the mail along with application form and picture, no need to drive anywhere.
I have lived in Korea, the US, and the Philippines. This system is this fast all over Korea, in the US not all states are like that and some are really bad. Some are marginally better than the Philippines. I have had a lot of headaches in government services in the Philippines and the US but the US is relatively better when it comes to this but nowhere near as efficient as Korea.
i was about to say..thats a big ass city hall! it looks so fancy..and i thought all of city halls there are like that but then u mentioned it received alot of criticism about it
woooooooow, that was fast!!! i tried to book mine today (Philippines) for an appointment- but all slots are taken. Hope I can get a slot this December.
Wow and thats really big WOW... so fast and very systematic. 👌 i experienced in Manila' it takes long time to finish due to long lines and many steps of processing. Salute Koreas goverment for a very good and simplify system. Thumbs up👍👏👏
don’t get me wrong. phils has to step up its automation in its govt offices. but just imagine if govt offices r automated, there will be more ppl unemployed. there r many factors to consider, slowly n surely phils will get there.
I hope government offices here in PH look better, just like in SK and in other countries, and for the equipment, I hope we also upgrade. I think it is a factor also why government services are slow here, since many of our government offices are old, small, dilapidated, lacks facilities, poorly designed, etc.. If only they improve, then government workers would be more efficient and inspired to work.
wow i'm amaze super fast, here in the US too much paper works, not allowed to bring your own picture need to take picture inside the consulate its just too much BS.
