I review the new WHITE SCAR spray (comparison with Grey Seer, Wraithbone & Corax White primer)

The new White Scar spray provides a true white undercoat, as opposed to the light grey of Corax White. I really loved Corax White and it's sad that it had to be discontinued, so let's see whether White Scar spray is a worthy successor and better white primer than others.

My only complain with Corax White cans was much more difficulty getting a smooth finish depending on the weather. Hard to find the sweet spot between too thick where it clogs detail, and too thin where a lot of texture develops on the surface. Wraithbone spray has been much easier for me in that respect, but I prefer airbrush priming nowdays.

Rust-Oleum 2x White Cover spray has been here for years and no one took notice. It was always better, BRIGHTER and cheaper than Corax White and it was always available, I use it everytime, it has the same coverage and thin quality from the GW official branded over-hyped spray, just without the over-hype.

I’d have to disagree, I just compared both outside, maybe depends on what plastic figures you spray, but the rustoleum sometimes has this tacky feeling and never dries, as it’s probably eating the plastic. Only rustoleum that works on anything is the camo mat paints.

I am really pissed off that they discontinued the Citadel Corax White Spray, as it has totally F'ed my Army as my whole Tau Army base colour is Corax White, as it was the exact colour i wanted my Tau Army's main color to be, they should of just renamed Corax White to Corax Light Grey to stop any confusion about it being a true white paint!!

I have a can of this here, but haven't tried it yet, will do and see how it stacks up.

Hi, my White Scar is a bit "transparent" and still shows the mini's colour through it, it's really annoying for Contrast use. Is it me or is the Scar a lil bit too fluid ?

Mmh, not for me. Did you give the can a good shake and applied multiple thin coats?

@@stahly_taleofpainters I did shake it non stop for 2mn, but didn't spray several thin layers. I did like with Corax, just a classic one layer prime.

There isn't a world where stocking up on Corax White is a good idea. Just airbrush with something like Vallejo grey primer (74.601) if you want a really light grey or, if for some reason you need to go with a spray, you can get premium, professional artist-grade spray paints like Montana Gold (which come in a staggering, eye-watering number of finishes and colors) for half the price, or budget paints like Rustoleum for a quarter of the price.

Replacing this replacing that . Change the paint from this to that . Discontinue this . Price shrinking . Well GW is improving on its products for the hobbyist for maximum appreciation . So your saying that your products suk? Sorry not sorry not buying anymore GW paints . I switching to a different line of paints . Good bye GW.

I am so done with GW price policy. The „new“ formulated shades aka watered down gave me the last push - I am done with GW

Paid by Games Workshop so what can I expect ? A neutral view ? Hell no…

They sent me a single can for free to experiment with, I think that hardly counts as being paid. My reviews are always neutral and fair.

@@stahly_taleofpainters Actually that IS the definition on eBay and Amazon for a bought review. If you would have taken the best 3 primers and pitted them against each other then it would have been a fair and neutral review All the good for you
