We have wired in smoke alarms, which were actually required to be fitted (in every room ) as per building regs when we got a loft conversion. However they also have to have a battery in addition, so you still get the annoying sutuation in the middle of the night where you suddenly get that constant periodic beep if the battery is getting low. I would use the 'prize' one in the garage at the end of the garden that opens onto a rear access road.

We have the Limeta MD200X Wireless Charger, brilliant bit of kit. We charge our tablets, phones, power bank, laptop and the wife's hearing aids, (pardon?). Very fast charging. We don't have anything with wireless charging so can't comment on that aspect. You should put the X-Sense Wifi Smoke and CO Alarm in your AMI, we all know those electric cars spontaneously combust all the time and it would be good to have a warning!

yes 1 parcel per short video. hehehe. so the 1st one. it is important to list cost of items in the video or just add it across the bottom of the video. since some items can be very expensive and there is some cheaper options or you end up with some cheap item that works for a week then no more. maybe put a soft rubber under the mic. every time you knock the table it makes noise. the plastic storage box get from temu for a few quid. you should put all your ear rings in heheheh just use it for screws or hooks etc.

I use a Granny charger in my garage, I also have 2 classic motorcycles in there along with a fridge & a freezer; the X-Sense Smoke and CO Alarm would be a sensible install! An interesting video as always.

That Lanmodo Night Vision until looks interesting. My wife and I moved to a village last Summer, and we occasionally see Muntjac deer when we're driving in the evenings / night around here, so advanced warning might be useful.

It does - I've never seen anything like it as a retrofit item before, an option normally reserved for pretty high end cars to have OEM. Looking forward to giving it a proper trial.

We have a smoke and carbon monoxide alarm as we have a wood burner….not as fancy as yours mind, no WiFi !. If I don’t win that I’ll have the cat instead 😂

My Daughter has a significant following on social media and it always amuses me the kind of utterly unrelated stuff she is asked to 'review'. She's very picky about only doing relevant stuff, but she'll often tell me about some of the more oddball requests. She used to get sent a lot of random phone cases at one point and we had to call a halt to it as half of them were for models of phone we didn't own.

Important note, if your garage is attached to your house install a smoke alarm in the garage , my sons electric consumer unit in the garage burst into flames but the alarms in the house didn’t detect the smoke or fire , only discovered as it tripped the electrics.

A very good tip i literally had a smoke alarm installed in my garage last week as part of a burglar alarm install, mostly because I'm getting batteries in there shortly, but discussing that with some friends last week ,and they said never mind the batteries what about a freezer, their freezer caught fire and damaged their garage to the extent it required a new roof, so as I have a freezer in there also, quite timely. Plus my consumer unit is in there as well plus a motor for the door so several things that can potentially catch fire.

TBH I don't need the alarm so count me out! BUT I have to say for a random agree to all, you did really well, one meh product but not crap, a great safety product, two decent power banks with broad appeal, and a couple of decent car related items, I'd call that a win!

Love the concept quite a few do warrant a follow up. A CO detector always useful. The one thing you missed was the cost even on a quick review that could be included. For example the power bank, yep i might buy one at say £20 but not £200. I don't need any of them though so don't pick me !

an interest concept for a video...its just like a groundhog christmas day with the excitement of opening unknown gifts! Im even getting excited waiting for your product reviews, which I hope, will be frank and non biased. So many youtube videos are biased for fear of upsetting sponsors of products sent for free and thus lose their credibility. are you OK Gary? what happened at 21.30 to 21.48? Another possibly unique idea for your channel is maybe request that the recepient of the freebee sends you their own short independent review of the product for you to report back with in a later followup video,

In Scotland it is now a legal requirement to have mains powered wirelessly interlinked smoke detectors in your home and has been since January 2022 - mains powered because the powers that be reckoned we would all rush to the smoke detector for its batteries when the telly remote control battery died…………. result few homes have retro-fitted them as you need to employ an expensive electrician to install the hugely marked up in price detectors that he prefers you to have and not the perfectly good cheap ones from Amazon or B&Q. I have had wireless interlinked battery powered heat and smoke detectors in my house for 4 years now, easy to test and they have sealed in batteries. Please don’t enter me into the lottery - I have a spare one already!

I support that rule for rental properties (used to be a landlord in Scotland and had to have them) but it seems a bit over the top for privately owned houses because as you say, it’s not cheap to have installed

I’m impressed by what they give out for reviews. I expected more plastic storage boxes. I had seen such WiFi fire alarm systems existed last year when I had to upgrade my fire alarms to comply with the new Scottish laws. I was thinking that is what my parents need because my dad has MND and if he was home alone when their fire alarms went off he would need assistance to get out of their house.
