Mountain is amazing tbh. I wanted one but needed a wireless setup, only reason I didn't go for it. I met them at GC and they are also really on point with their approach overall.

I have used the Mountain everest Max now for almost a year, and I love it. The hotswapability of the switches and the customizability is awesome. Also, I don't have the wrist rest issue, nor do I have the button depressing issue.

I have seen ads for the mountain keyboard stuff and always thought it seemed cool. Just never really heard much about them. I do really dig the modular aspect. If only they could be a little more like GMMK and make it even more enthusiast like with swappable plates.

11:10 That is definetly 3 pin 😄 The middle bit of plastic is included in the pin count. The other common size is 5 pin which adds 2 plastic tabs to help stabilise the switch 🙂

I have been rocking the Everest Max for 2 years now and luckily, I have none of the problems you were mentioning. It is a great keyboard. After 2 years still feels great and holds up. I have cherry blue switches though

I own the Everest Max and use it daily on my main rig. I have none of the issues you noticed on my keyboard. It's pretty dope just the viewing angles of the small displays are absolutely atrocious. You'll want to use very high contrast images.

I love the Mountain Everest Max keyboard. Wanted one for a while and they have a November sale on them now too I believe.

Actually mountain is a pretty well known brand in the keyboard space. I was really interested in purchasing one of there keyboards for a while, until I decided it was not going to use the modularity enough.

hey i have that keyboard! Everest Max is great - typing on it right now! Looks like you got shafted with QC because mine seems fine. Also, those macro panels can be attached directly to the keyboard I think in the leftover spot that the dial doesnt use. I did end up changing the default key switches so hot swappable was awesome when i did that.

i have everest max over year and its my lovely combo keyboard and mouse with makalu 67. offcourse im still waiting for wireless version, but is not neseceary. i have mx speed silver switches and still no modification's 🙂 i love this brand

I really like seeing these items that NO ONE reviews. That keyboard combination set is an awesome idea IMHO. Not for $300, I'll stick with my extremely reliable Redragon 60% board, numberpad and macro-gamepad. All have brown switches that are swappable and been 3 years and only have had to replace my 'W' key switch because I abuse it.

onesie time!! wooooot! a friend of mine has the mario kart thing, he runs it with his kids all the time, it is absolutely incredible! it works really well, and brings a whole new level to RC and gaming i think linus once tested the mountain keyboard kit, early days of shortcircuit or possibly before that. he really liked it. if you compare the price of that to say the corsair k95 platinum, it's really not far off the mark for a factory built mechanical keyboard with lots of modularity and customization.

for better sound quality and comfort go with the samson SR850/860's. (model doesnt matter, SR850'S are full black while SR860'S, the pair i have, are black with red details, such as pads inside the earcups sitting against the drums are red with a red headband.) its only $50 on amazon, USD. recommended by many people for their budget-friendlyness, and very good! also has a self-adjusting headband. my only complaint is the earcups are very thin, so you *might* have to get aftermarket earcups. then again the earcups are fairly easy to remove/replace, and you can get universal ones as alot of headphones use a simaler design for the earcups. i got mine for $20 USD, and it also helped with sound quality a little bit by adding space from the drivers. even if this sounds like a sponsor, its not, i just really love my samson headphonies. :)

Watching the Mario kart demo I was thinking wonder what happens when the cat gets in the way. Then when you showed it I laughed so hard of him backing up. Reminded me of the crusin USA type arcade games, absolutely great lol.

That 60% Mountain keyboard sounded like an enthusiast board, I was impressed by the sound of that one. I'm curious about that display board though, is it as versatile as a stream deck?

Hey, just wanted to let you know that you used the switch puller wrong. The little prongs are meant to go on the top and bottom to disengage the clips from the plate. :D Really like this series by the way.

I love my Everest Max! Haven't had issues with the magnet or the display keys, although I do wish they used better displays that don't get so washed-out when viewed off-angle (which you will be doing all the time because you don't sit with your head right over the keyboard). Would have been amazing if they could use something like what's on the dial for those keys. The Max definitely has lubed stabilizers, but the switches are not. Recently went through and added foam, switch films and lube to all the switches, and some better PBT keycaps and this thing looks and feels absolutely amazing now. It was already a noticeable step up from the standard gaming mechanical keyboards you get at the ~$100 price range, but now it's worlds apart. Pre-lubed would have been awesome, but I guess that's just a focus they have on the smaller board. I didn't know about the DisplayPad but something he didn't show is that you can mount it directly on the keyboard. In fact, the macro pad, display pad and media pad all attach on those usb-c ports on the left and right of either board. I'm pretty tempted to get one. I'd say overall, there's a ton you can do with this board to make it work for you. It has to be one of the best jack-of-all-trades options out there.

this comment is me chiming in about the mountain keyboard. I got this keyboard because it was one of the best recommended keyboards I think in 2019 for "custom keyboards" the quality itself does not use cheap metal for the deck. I have had issues with QC and durability with the board itself. But the idea of a modular keyboard from someone who uses the numpad during daily activity's and can remove it to play games is an amazing idea, and the hot-swap switches that can take 3 pin switch but you have to remove the pin and all 2 pin switches, and have magnetic feet so if you wanted and got enough you can raise the keyboard as high as you want. I just hope they improve the arm rest and durability of the keyboard in the future. With that said I still think if you want more room to play games on a full size keyboard but want to use the numb pad when not gaming then the keyboard is for you. The 300 dollars price tag is steep but you can get the deck with no keys and add your own switch's and caps for less but you will lose out on the numb-pad and media controller so the $300 price tag is for everything, the upgrades can be purchased on there website if you want to get the numb-pad at a later date

oi! 300$ for the Everest Max (including num pad and media dock) is a shocking price, considering you can get the keyboard in Europe usually for 250€ (including 19% sales taxes in Germany) and at sales events like right now for just 180€ (including 19% sales taxes in Germany), which can be converted in the moment more or less one to one. i got mine half a year ago for "only" 200€. it's a shame you didn't showed the packaging of the Everest Max. This box is really fantastic :)

when it comes to mountain I've been using their keyboard for a while and their mouse for a while with my 2 biggest issues being QC and software, their support is phenomenal and the fanbase is quite active. the TKL board alone is actually fairly good value when compared to other options and the max is for sure overpriced but if you're like me then that modularity is to die for.

I have the Mario and Luigi car for my switch and if you dock the switch to the tv I can use both cars on the same switch using 2 controllers. My son and I race all the time. It’s awesome, and our dogs love chasing the cars around too.

This is a fun series. It is also my head canon that Kyle is naked under the onesie.

I have the Mountain Everest Max and I can proudly say I've never had any of those issues that you seem to be facing, it also often goes on sale so you can get it for $200 instead of $300 for almost every holiday. The stabs are prelubed but the switches are not with Crytox 205G0. RandomFrankP has a very good review of it.

Maono actually makes good mics for the money, best budget plug and play streaming mics I think. Headphones seem to drop flat though.

This is the first time I'm interested in the switch and Nintendo in general for a LONG time! Seen similar implementations of this but this one is better and suits the ecosystem very nicely! Too bad the camera and the connection are crappy! They could have charged $200 and have a good camera and Wi-Fi and as long as the connection to the router is good everything is good! Still very cool! Hopefully one day it becomes amazing!

Microsoft Sidewinder x6 keyboard still did the better magnetic numberpad better 14 years ago. No dumb sliding bit. Just simple strong magnets and contact pads on each side.

The everest max keyboards made the rounds of youtube reviewers back in 2020 I think. Saw it a lot back then, pretty sure hardware canucks was one. Mountain seem to be having another push recently though. I can buy the max keyboard here for AU$239, which at current rates is US$160... so yes I am, seeing as I just built a new PC.

Maono have a ton of products in really wide price range. I owned a bunch of headphones and microphones, most of the time they are fine, some are really good in that price. But I wasn't a fan of most of their headphones, since they felt made for "bass heads", there were couple of pairs that were more neutral.

I have the Mountain Everest Max, exclusively after seeing LTT's review. The dial/dock... Thing doesn't quite work right for me [everything else is flawless]. Thinks I'm using 54MB/s rn, when the Internet on my PC is not being heavily used. GPU usage also doesn't work at all. Talked to support, they pull these readings from Windows directly, but somehow they don't read those 2 correctly for me. I bought mine for 250EUR and am very happy with it. Was looking for something with media controls and a full 104 layout. Outside of a Corsair or ASUS offering, this was the next best choice. Except that you don't need the software open or to even boot for it to work to it's full potential. I had come from a Logitech keyboard, but it was using proprietary Logitech switches [NOT Romer-G and no replacement keys made available]. Dunno if he mentioned it, but it also features user-replaceable Cherry RGB switches

700 for a litter box??!!!! I paid under 100 for one on amazon. It's only a tray that scoops 15 minutes after detection, so you do have to deal with it once every few days, but for the price difference I'm not upset with the choice.

Everest is like the most known peripherals brand in Turkey that isn't main stream as they are cheaper yet better than all the other options in their price range.Atleast it used to when I was younger now Rampage is the 1. seller in terms of pc hardware.

I have a Mountain Everest Max keyboard, Kyle got a bad unit. I don't have any issues with any on the keys on the main keyboard or the numpad, and my wrist rest connects fine and stays put. I have the Cherry Blue switched and they feel lubed but I don't know for sure.
