Saw this today for first time. I could listen to you enthralled with or without a band but you have created a band and arrangements that are magical today. You are so incredibly musically talented. You are very special to me
I still remember the 1st time I heard this song~on the radio. Driving home from the beach. I almost had a wreck trying to pull off the road so I could hear the DJ say who this magnificent voice was. The day I fell in love with Raul Mallo back in the 90's! Been a privilege to listen to him all these yrs.
You just cannot beat the combination of Raul Malo and acoustic/classical guitars. One of my favorite songs...along with "O What a Thrill". I don't think the Maverick's ever recorded a bad song. 🤗
I had a 2 hour commute to work every day and to make it more bearable i listened to Raul Malo all the way. God, what a voice! Gave me chills up and down my spine and still does today. He deserves much more credit and praise for that remarkable voice.
We had an extremely elderly poodle…we had to let him go. He was in such pain and anxiety. Toward the end the only thing that calmed him and gave him peace so he could rest, was the music of the Mavericks. We ran it 24/7. We loved that little dog! I will always be grateful.
There I was, having a nice evening, at my place, with Mike G & Ashley T. I had loaded up 6 discs on my CD player, set to random, and this song comes on. IMMEDIATELY, from the opening chord, and having never heard this song before, Ashley jumps up and pulls me up from my chair to dance. We slow danced to this song not once, not twice, but three times. I do miss those times.
When I heard this on my hubbys country station I Had to have it! It was phenomenal then and I love it today- gives me goosebumps as his voice is so magical.
I'll never forget the first time I heard this song. Was driving down highway and came on the radio and I almost had a wreck getting off the road before getting out of the radio signal range so I could find out who that amazing voice belonged too. Been in love with Raul ever since!
I adore the Mavericks! Besides Midland, the greatest groups ever!!! Raul is incredible and I think he can sing anything and it's incredible, the beauty of his voice! love 😍 🌹 rosita

well, to be honest, i was maybe 18 when I first heard The Mavericks, I was working late ( i know it was pass midnight) on my first car and had the local radio station that played country and this came on. I was thinking wow Roy came out with a new song (remember i was 18). I Fell in love with his music, of course, i was just coming out of my first long-time high school relationship, thinking i shouldn't be so emotional but damn! there are certain people and music that feel the hair on their neck stand up when listening, and he does it for me, well not him but his voice, let's not let make it weird!
Absolutely brilliant, love these guys, from the first cd! Best memories, ever, and my wee daughter, so loved this group! She’s a thirty one year old now, but still loves the maverick’s! We played this over n over on CD player many, many, years ago in Majorca! Bliss!
Why do I have Roy Orbison vibes? Roy Orbison can NOT be duplicated, but Raul and his vocals are comparable IMO. BTW, The Mavericks are one of the few cassette tapes I broke from rewinding and repeat playing "back in the day"
