@@HopeIsFleeting I'll admit, I've not read Marx, so Idk if that one quote is very accurate to his ideology overall, but I really doubt it. I know enough about modern Marxism to know that at least today equity, the equalizing of outcomes, is a massive component of the ideology. The idea of "to each according to his need" very specifically, which is to say allowance of excess wealth among people but the insurance that everyone receives a basic income to live is not as far as I can tell. That's simply the economic policy of UBI, which could be part of socialism or communism sure, but the whole "eat the rich" suggests there is a bit more going on.
