I sold it. Probably the hardest choice I have ever had to make... 

I hope this story inspires you to doing something epic with your life. Yes I had to sell it to make this all happen, but luckily I was able to get it back home, and I promise I'll never let it go again.

This hit home. I did the same thing 20 years ago. I sold mine to a friend with the same option to buy it back. I was miserable. A couple years went by and I was out of town and saw my car in some random field. I called my buddy and it turned out he had sold it to someone else. I reminded him of our agreement to be first in line if he ever resold it. Somehow, he honored it and got the car back, and i bought it back from him (unfortunately, it was stripped to a bare shell). It will never leave again.

I've managed to hold on to my 92 fox and try to start over again. Something about banging gears cruising in the green machine, cant help to smile. It's kept me somewhat sane. I know it's just a car. But, I bought a new GT in the fall of 92 at 18 with my dad. Unfortunately it was stolen 2 years later. Have had this one for 4 years now. Planning a coyote swap, need a bigger smile on my face.... life has its ups and downs. Can hear the pain of the car being sold, but now time to move on to the next project. I had one about 10 years ago and regret selling it. Just purchased one a shell to build with my son and your videos gave me inspiration for the build.

It's amazing how much material things can stir emotions, remind you of people, music, smells, and sounds. I wish my fox body had a story, but it doesn't. I just keep it around to keep me from going crazy sometimes. I just get in and ride. Thanks for all the hard work Caleb, I didn't know all of that info before. It's funny how some people trash talk these cars but I have always loved the Fox body Mustangs. They were new when I was in high school, I don't care if my stock Fox is slow. I'm old and I have given enough of my money to assorted police departments over the years. All of the quirks and sounds like the doors closing and that annoying door chime, I love them, and the sound of a stock Fox body I think is one of the sweetest sounds a man could ever hear.

I'm curious what's next. 20 min of the story but leaves us on a cliffhanger. Love the channel bud

Wow, great story! These cars can certainly be a big part of our lives. I bought my 87 hatch new, and when we decided to buy a house, I let my Mazda truck go knowing the Mustang would be better to keep. It was our only car for 8 years until my second child was 6 months old. I drove it daily for 24 years and 306k miles. I can't get rid of it and hope to get it back on the road soon.

I'm a lot older, turn 69 in a couple of days, but I still regret the day I left my 1970 428 CJ Mach I, 50 years ago, to move across country. I worked on a buddy’s 89 lx hatch for yrs. I learned a lot and even though we had a falling out, I got my 95 in Nov 2016. I have been working on it ever since and will keep on going. I been through so much i x ran off with my 2 daughters i lost my 2 mustangs my 13 gt my 2022 mach 1 i been building my mark vii lsc coyote swap AWD 10 speed auto for 10 years still not done i brought 4 donor cars and lost them my died in 2018 its been a struggle i been suck with diabetes and lower back problems i am lucky to be alive. I am truck driver child support took my cdl so right now i am struggling i hope i can finish my build and get back on my feet.

Man the clip at the end got me Ca. That push rod chopping away then laying some rubber. I loved that combo. Loved the look on the pony r's. Your car was the template look for my 93 Calypso hatch. Funny I started building fox body’s back in the late 80’s I was RU-vid g never had a lot of money , so I would get 2.3”s with blown engines for a couple hundred bucks , and the cars weren’t old so the body’s were perfect and I’d put 289”s or 302”s in them , home ported 351w heads with the closed chambers etc I did a lot of friends cars and had fun doing it and never ever thought of it as a business, if I would have I’d probably have a pretty good penny put away ,lol My first was a 1990 Cobra turbo and we put a 302 in it built like I stated , still wish I had that car Good luck and keep up the great content

I feel the pain about the truck and 2 kids, i had to use my 03 Wrangler x to haul around my toddlers when my GT was off the road, really hard to fit car seats in a jeep, one weird thing is the s550 has a bigger back seat and room for car seats than my 00 and 02.

I am posting the videos so my grandkids can follow if they wish. I want to a Vic with a Ls3 a Hemi and a 5.0. People started subscribing. I was like uh ok cool. I post one of me showing my grandson how to gap rings and that video has hit 340k views on TicToc. It's weird anyone cares what I have to say but they are still subscribing on RU-vid. My grandkids call me Grampito so I named my channel GrampitoVic. The grandkids really liked it. And my Vic is called Grampito. They really enjoyed that. That's what I'm after. I just want to see them smile. I bought a exspensive shed so I have a place to build the engines and make videos for them. Your 5 OH is gorgeous brother. Be proud of yourself. I have my 79 still, was bought for me by my dad when i was 12, back in 2002?? Im 34 now and still have the car, its not pretty but its 4.6 powered, me and my 15 year old son put together in my drive way.

I share alot of what you spoke of in the cid. My car has meant the world to me the last 20 plus years. I sold it for the right reason at the time. Bought it back. Got 2 kids then a divorce before Covid. It helped keep me focused and sane as I rebuild my life. I'm in a much better spot now. Onward and upqard!

Im devorced. About 2 years in. Finally got a place to stay and have my kids 9,6,6. My car hasn't gone anywhere but it always feels like its on the edge as money gets tight in this economy. Unfortunately i dont have money to keep my self busy in the car but also fortunately i have a nice basically finished car. I would like to be able to hand it down to one of the kids that could appreciate it later in life. They know its my toy but we have also had lots of fun with it and just regular run around days. Just like the LX 5.0 i was ran around in as a kid.

Caleb. I miss the 84 Gt 350 I bought as my first car. But I can’t complain. I have a 86 coupe, a 86 SSP coupe, a 83 GT dominator with 34k miles, a 71 Torino Gt, a 66 mustang coupe, and a 67 Fairlane. 😂

It’s scary driving a car around that has a lot of money put into it. The way people drive nowadays is insane.
