I think a part of some being misses is the length of them. Jokes are funny, but after a while they do burn out. Like with the "perfectly cut screams" subreddit, theres a bell curve of not funny to funny to not funny, and often it has to do with length of the scream. The apex is where a cut off leaves the biggest impression. Though, if youre going for a full in sketch, thats different, as highs and lows are to be expected.

Input Latency and FPS are one of those things that you will never notice until you get used to something better. 60 fps looks great until you get used to 120 and then it looks half speed. 2 secons of latency doesn't matter until you play consistently on 1 or less seconds
