A lot of FPV racing clubs are adopting HDZero. HDZero was also welcome at the recent FAI World Championships in Korea. Walksnail may be technically good, but it is not currently supported in the competitive FPV racing community.
I run a racing club, the biggest problem is whether it will play with the timing system nicely. The other problems is that there is no way to view the video and unknown how it will be with other pilots in the air. Will need some testing but it does look good. HDZERO is definitely the best digital option for racing as it plays well with everything and easy to get video out.
Im flying the WS and i have no problems with the timer. HDzero, WS and analog together without any problems👍🏼🚀 video out is possible but not as easy as analog.
Great video -- I love the way that you guys fly together and bounce comments off each other - About the Walksnail V3, it's a 1S VTX that accepts higher voltage, plus it's camera does 4:3 aspect -- Has a higher output than the standard WS 1S VTX which is 350mw -- Race Mode is now available on "all" Walksnail VTXs, so race mode is not special to the V3 VTX , as it's available on all Walksnail VTXs. Hope you don't mind me suggesting but consider using walksnail-osd-tool and have the OSD on your flight samples Keep the video coming, they are so much fun 🙂

Great to see you out in the field again Stu. Is there anyway to lock the white balance settings? It seems to be using AWB and the colour switches a lot.
This same story of "they listen to the community" seems like a pirate's parrot, everyone says the same thing, but just repeating what they hear other youtubers say. Walksnail listens to the community because they have no choice, DJI doesn't need to listen because when they release a product, it's already "perfect" or almost perfect to use, you don't hear about the OSD blinking or disappearing. Walksnail has no choice, if they don't "listen" people will stop using the product. But at least walksnail is trying hard to get better...
DJI is far from perfect. The fact that WTFOS exists is proof that people got tired of DJI not supporting Betaflight full OSD. Then for V2 gear you end up having to make a choice between old hardware or new, but not both.
