David, it's crazy easy to make your own mascarpone at home. YOu just need a quart of heavy cream and a teaspoon of cream of tartar. Heat the cream to 180F. Take it off the heat and let it cool to around 140F. stir in the cream of tartar. Heat it back up to 180F. Pour it in a bowl to cool down and after a couple hours strain through cheesecloth or coffee filters and refrigerate. It'll be good for about four or five days.
I definitely thought I'd been waiting for Tasty's cinnamon roll pancakes to be tested... And I definitely watched that 2018 video. You're not alone David
The fact that I remembered the OG cinnamon roll pancakes and was confused when he said it was his first time making it shows that I've been watching you for way too longgg 😂😂
Hot tip: you can make a great approximation of mascarpone cheese at home with some heavy cream and lemon juice and it’s not difficult at all, if you’re interested it’s in Adam raguseas tuna/chicken/egg salad video!! Speaking of, I was surprised not to see ragusea here, he did a whole pancake series once, I remember making these chocolate pecan marshmallow pancakes that were drunk me’s dream 🤣
Hi David! I’m one of those people who watches every video but doesn’t comment (sorry!). I have watched your videos since 2018, I love your content as an avid baker myself and you introduce me to so many new and interesting recipes. Which is why when you said to suggest brand new recipes to you - have you ever heard of a Chocolate Nemesis? It’s a recipe from a famous cafe in London (River Cafe) with only four to five ingredients. Super super delicious, I usually serve it with whipped Chantilly cream but it doesn’t seem very known outside of the UK! No nuts (I also have a nut allergy). Give it a look and hopefully I’ll see it in one of your videos!
I add a bit extra baking powder and cook them in bacon fat. You get very crispy edges and a bit of that sweet/savory hit. I do eat them with “maple” syrup sometimes, but artificial whipped cream is my favorite topping!
A fave at our house is PB&J pancakes. Just add a tablespoon or two of peanut butter to favorite basic pancake batter and when done spread with favorite jelly or jam.
I’ve recently been playing around with a ricotta pancake recipe and I’m never making pancakes any other way! They come out so soft, moist, fluffy, custardy goodness. Was super funny to see you stop yourself and realize you made the cinnamon roll pancakes before 😂
Hello David , watching your videos since 2019 from Portugal 🥰. Always watch your videos before going to sleep wich is never a good idea because it makes me só hungry 😂 Never stop doing your videos 🥹💞
David- I’ve asked a few times I’d love to see you recreate a sorted food ultimate battle and give your verdict. Their ramen battle looked amazing, the Italian face off was drool inducing, and the ultimate burrito battle caused a international incident and headlines. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you do one of their recipes. Also, how dare you because the tiramisu pancakes made my stomach rumble and I’m in bed without the gumption to travel to the market for the supplies.
The heterogeneity when you have those crispy edges really puts pancakes over the top. The way I always get them is when I cook a bunch of bacon first. Then I use that bacon grease to fry the pancakes in. Then after they come out is when they get slathered in butter.
Please let me introduce to you: European Style Pancakes (Pfannkuchen in German, Omletten in Swissgerman)😂😂 Not as thin as Crepes and way more flavor than those french thin things, but still thin enough to be rolled up and filled with all the good stuff, from sweet to savoury🤤😋😋 I assume that was the kind of batter in the last receipe😉
lol’d at the pregnant woman’s cravings line - I didn’t have any cravings when I was pregnant, just food aversions. I felt so robbed! I was inexplicably disgusted to the point of gagging by rigatoni pasta. Every other pasta shape was fine. Bewildering.
I have always wanted a cake that tastes like butter pancakes. You are flipping the cinnamon roll pancakes too soon. Your heat is too high. The top should be dry, and the bubbles popped before you flip. You can put a lid on your pancakes to make them cook faster.
Benito Thompson on TT tries out lots of great looking recipes and many of them are actually really good according to him, like the puff pastry banana concoction
Have viewers submit hometown recipes? My hometown has “BerryPeppers” in the summer. Frozen cup of 1 part Dr. Pepper syrup, 1 part strawberry pop, 1/2 part water.
Kristin's Friends is a channel of food crimes as far as I can tell. It would definitely be recipes you've never tried before. Love your channel! Keep up the good work!
The tiramisu pancakes look like British pancakes. They still look amazing, just trying to explain why I think they were thinner than the American style we're used to.
If you are looking for different, why don't you cook dishes from around the world? Also those tiramisu pancakes look like they were missing flour, maybe? They certainly looked more like crepes
