I bought these myself and I am surprised how easy and yet how satisfying this exercise is. I noticed that I was often struggling to hold the dumbbells properly when doing my triceps and chest training so I figured a stronger grip will solve the problem. It sounds nice that you made a lot of progress within only a month. Hopefully I'll be able to improve my grip this way as well.

@@ediddy1 Not really. I haven't felt the biceps working while doing the exercises. But my biceps is used to way heavier exercises so even if it was working, it probably didn't influence it.

I'm on day 4, picked up a couple CoC knockoffs on Amazon, 150 lb. and 200 lb. and also purchased an actual CoC1. The CoC 1 which is rated at 140 lbs. seems a bit harder to close than the 150 lb. knockoff and a little easier than the 200 lb. knockoff. I started with reps of 10, already moved up to reps of 15. Can't close the 200 lb. grippers but maybe 2 times in a row with my right hand and can't even do one full close with my left hand so I've been focusing on the CoC 1 for now and maybe move up to the 200 in a couple of weeks. Gonna take some time to see a big difference but I wish I thought to do some videos of progression and do a 30 day montage like you did. Great work man and you can definitely see you improved definition in those 30 days, much more veins visible. I personally can't see much difference on mine yet but it's only been 4 days, but I've actually been able to slightly increase my reps already so that's a good sign. I'm more interested in feeling my gains than visible gains so I'm good with that, although I'd like to have both. My arms were much bigger about 7 years ago, back when I moved furniture for a living. I've lost a bit of weight since then, I do a ton of walking at my current job, although I'm glad I lost some weight , my arms also got smaller which sucks so it's kinda bittersweet. I'd like to get them back to about the same size they were or bigger while keeping weight off. I think it can be done with a lean protein diet. I no longer drink alcohol and cut down on most carbs so thay should help.

I want to improve my grip for many reasons... the most important being violin. You won't believe how exhausting it gets for the left hand and how important it is for clear sound in fast passages because the right hand needs to be in full control of the bow. I'm excited to see how it'll affect my playing in one month and beyond.

If you want to ACTUALLY grow your for arms you need to do more weight and less reps, you need to wrist curls, wrist extensions, farmers carry, it will also help if you get the XL grips for dumbells, over hand curls, hammer curls, and train heavy 3 times a week. Work in a progressive overload routine for forearms arms then you will see growth. All i see after 30 days is more vascularity, size looks the same.

I find that weight isn't important. Form and a slow speed is what makes it grow faster.

@@wartortle577 yes slow and concentric repititions are important but for muscle hypertrophy of any muscle, volume is key. If you want to grow you have to overload, you need more weight and you don't want to be doing loads of reps even if they are slow. Muscle fatigue alone is not where you get your size.

Exercise for hand grips: Press in and out as fast as possible! Until it hurts then count 1! 2! 3!… - 10 presses then swap hands repeat Both hands done is one set, aim to do 3 sets, increase sets the more you can endure over time. I feel invincible

I’m thinking of getting one for my car so I can passively do this while working doordash and Uber delivery. Making a huge change to myself this year trying to lose 120lbs and replace as much fat as I can with muscle so I don’t get loose skin. Currently lost 20lbs so far in 3 weeks which at first is expected because it has slowed a bit I’m now averaging around .2lbs lost per day. Craziest part is how my motivation levels have changed after working out. My mindset is so much different and I don’t even have to try to think about my diet anymore I actually crave healthier foods I’m not sure why.

@@mridhulml9238 really proud of getting my butt in gear. Got an everlast one from Dicks sporting goods and worked my way up to somewhere around 80lbs grip. It maxes at 90lbs and I do like 200 reps each hand a day throughout the day in sets. I have muscles in my forearm I never knew I had before and I can’t stop touching them while flexing them lol. Also my tendons in the top of my wrist are super strong now. Now I naturally eat way less around 1200-1500 calories a day which is kinda low but it’s working for me. Noticed I crave drinking more water as this weight comes off idk why. Current weight lost now is 39lbs. The 20lbs lost at the time of the original post was based on a starting weight of 336lbs. Came to the realization I had weighed myself before New Years once and forgot. I weighed somewhere in the 360’s so I’ve lost way more since New Years.

I have found that rack pull hold for 30 seconds with alternating double overhand and hookgrip. You can really feel it. :D

Hammer curls are amazing for increasing forearm size. They work the Brachioradialis. Its even better if you turn your palm away from you on the negative and slowly go down do disengage your bicep more. It's reccomended to use lighter weight than your normal bicep curl weight

Hammer curls are awesome for sure, I wish I had of started with a lighter weight with them but I suffered through it and my forearms caught up with biceps surprisingly fast

Slowing your reps down would likely lead to improved muscle gain. Also, another huge tip is turn the grips over... that uses different forearm muscles. I do 10 slow reps each way, so 40 total at about 100lbs or 45kg. Then I do 25 reps each way at 50lbs or 22.5kg, so 200 total. And I do this about 3 times a day. I broke my hand so my right hand is still very weak from surgery. Great video though. Hope I'm not coming off as rude.

Try the Ironmind grippers or the Ivanko super gripper, that one is great value for money. There is a progression chart online and the highest resistance is enough to stop most elite strongmen. Having said all this the wrist roller done with the roller fixed though a bar set at a fixed height will really build your forearms up, that gets the belly of the forearm.

I wouldn't recommend training grip everyday. Your muscles don't grow with training, they grow with recovery. You probably would have seen better results by getting a harder gripper (I would recommend one of the captains of crush grippers, something you can rep out max 10 times), and training 3 times a week.

@@pritomhalder3695 The workout in the video was with light grippers and lots of reps, so the risk of injury is low, but if you transition to harder grippers, there is definitely a risk of injury, especially when you're starting out and your tendons aren't used to the stress. A good rule is to warm up well, don't keep training if it hurts, and allow plenty of time for recovery.

@@pritomhalder3695 OK, ill give you mine. I train about 3 times a week. Ill start with the coc trainer and warm up with about 10 reps each hand (no set). Then I'll chalk up, and with a wide set I'll close the no 1 for about 3 reps each hand. Then with a parallel set, ill close the no 2 for one reps each hand. Then I am warmed up enough to try some harder grippers that I can't quite close yet. Ill try the 2.5 with a deep set (I can only get to about 4mm). And ill try the 3, just to strengthen the first part of the grip motion. After that ill go back to the no 1 and do as many reps as I can to cool down (10-13). Another thing I add in occasionally is holding a no 2 closed for as long as I can. Note that this is just what I do. Try different things out and listen to your muscles and tendons. But the main thing is to allow for recovery days and warm up well.
