My (unsolicited) advice would be: - think about it less, just upload whatever you want to make/upload. You have more creative freedom now than you will ever have (or feel like you have). Any video you make is just because you want to make it and doesn't need justification beyond that. - forget a theme or a channel type or a persona (one may evolve eventually but doesn't have to). Not every video has to appeal to every subscriber, or even to any of your subscribers. If you make videos that a stranger who has never come across you before could watch and enjoy/get something from, you will always get "passing traffic". - sporadic uploading is fine, again no explanation needed. Some channels are successful uploading only a few times a year - there's no rule that you have to upload every week. End of the day, if somebody watched/interacted with your last video, they are likely to be recommended your next one, regardless of when that is. That's why this video was on my home page, whereas there are many uploads from channels I'm subscribed to that I never see. The subscribe button is essentially pointless/redundant. - have fun. If you don't "make it (on RU-vid)", then at least you had fun (and everyone else watching probs did too). - don't look at your channel dashboard that shows the performance of your most recent video compared to the last ten. It's evil shit that will push you into a box of metrics you don't wanna exist in.

You remind me of a slightly younger version of myself, I used to feel the exact same way, the feeling that there should just be more and you know you're capable of it. Honestly the thing that worked for me was to take a look at my large goals and break them down into smaller ones. Being able to see progress towards those smaller goals day by day helps a lot with removing that kind of feeling.
Well Ben, just started an apprenticeship in Munster. Those videos were great. Only realised today that you had taken a break from uploading. Definitely an audience for your electrician content! Would love to see more and I doubt I'm alone. All the best bud.

Hey Ben. Really think you have something going on and I'm glad you're back to explore it. A lot of creative people find that at the beginning they are just creating content to do it, and many look back at their early stuff and realise they were just making what they had seen before or thought audiences wanted (Matt & Trey who created South Park said this for example). Not that you are saying you were doing that exactly, but the point is it takes quite a while for people to find their true creative voice. Be patient with yourself and it will come. Looking forward to seeing what's next!
I'm here and I see you... Subscriber from way back. Nothing is stopping you from returning but you. The people who say you need to focus or "do one thing" are wrong. You already have a following, and the channel continued to grow while you weren't even posting. There are plenty of successful channels that have a wide variety of content. I think the most important thing is that you make videos about the things that interest you and drive you the most; the things you're passionate about. It can be anything or everything, it can be about being an electrician, staying fit, or neither of those things. It can be about different things today than tomorrow and that's okay and it's totally up to you. Uploading consistently is important, but it's more important that it not feel like an obligation or a burden. When you upload out of obligation, it's hard to make it your best work. Although my channel is much, much smaller, my content is all over the place, and it's only because so many things interest me and that's what I enjoy doing. I treat RU-vid as a hobby and try not to take it too personally or seriously, which seems to help for me. And in the end, it's always the videos about the things I'm most genuinely interested in that get the most views and do the best. Half the fun for me is learning and improving my content.
one thing that’s helped me is i started to treat RU-vid as a hobby. when you do it only because you enjoy it other things like views, likes, or whatever doesn’t matter to you. so if you enjoy make these continue doing so. don’t try to be “the next guy” or anything. just be yourself.

Its been six months now since you've posted and I'm sorry you've had bit of creators block. Its difficult to find a niche that you're passionate about. There are many RU-vid's who've built a platform and left because they needed a break or just didn't want to go on with it. I know you were really still knew to it all. I'm sure in time you will figure out what's right with the fulfilment and happiness. Good Luck!!

Just identify as yourself and be you bro! Don’t overthink it and go with the flow. Thats how the magic happens, be organic with the uploads and what you film
Idk if you know who Adam LZ is but he started his channel for BMX and eventually pivoted to professional drifting/car stuff. Still saw a huge amount of success. Wouldn’t feel too much pressure towards just filming electrician stuff. I’d just get stuck in and start filming what you like and see how it goes and what kind of videos you enjoy

The ceiling for electrician videos online is pretty limited and if you don't want to do them videos mate don't feel obliged. I only watched you afew years ago as your personality and the fact you were clearly enjoying doing the little videos you did around fitness and just other stuff. Just do whatever makes you comfortable and want to record. Consistency is what builds a true base.

Just take the pressure off yourself for having to 'hammer videos'. Just film when you feel upto it and when you feel passionate about something, quality over quantity mate
