I have been contemplating how to explain true confidence for quite some time. When I came across this story from Simon Sinek it really resonated as to the qualities one must have in order to be truly confident.

This resonates with me so much. I’ve recently changed how I interact with people and if I don’t understand something they’ve said and I need clarification, I’ll ask instead of thinking I’m stupid and feeling embarrassed by it.Another example is in the past I would zone out during conversations with a longtime friend and not have a clue as to what she just said so I’d pretend to know by nodding my head or saying very basic things like, “Oh” or “ Uh-huh.” When we were together recently, I chose to own up to the fact that I wasn’t listening. I admitted to her that I zoned out for a bit and asked her to repeat what she said- and she didn’t take it personally. She repeated what she said and admitted she might not have explained it correctly. So, yes, I believe from my own experience that humble confidence is taking responsibility and admitting when I don’t understand or I’m not listening. I think Jesus stated somewhere in the Text or one of the Cameos (I have the CE version) that embarrassment is a form of fear/egocentricity. But don’t quote me on that😀 Thank you my dear friend❤️

Whether we ask a professor or ask our parents or ask our inner teacher... asking is the ticket to learning.. .and asking happens when we admit we do not know. The point is that confidence comes from not knowing, coupled with a willingness to ask/know. Ultimate answers and enlightenment must always be taught from within, of course, but if we are learning a new skill.... asking our professors or teachers or elders is also a wise thing to do and absolutely encouraged. So yes, I am very sure :)

I@@davidjaros1117 I agree a million percent. And that's why in almost every video I make I teach about inner guidance and listening to it and trusting it and following it. But let's also remember we live among people ...and having confidence in ourselves to speak up and ask questions when we do not know is a skill unto itself. Without confidence ...one will not ask or speak up... ..and we must. Also side note....when we are learning something like physics....we will not learn everything from our heart...we need books and teachers and elders. In that ....we also need confidence to trust ourselves / heart as we learn something new. But our authority on life must always be inner guidance. That's true. Thanks David. 🙏🩷
