I Watched Disney's *PRINCESS PROTECTION PROGRAM* For The FIRST TIME & why does this even EXIST?? 

The thing about this movie was it was VERY iconic for its time. Demi Lovato had just done Camp Rock and Selena was in Wizards of Waverly Place, which were both very popular among the audiences at the time like they were pretty much Disney royalty and people were dying to see them in a movie together. They were two of Disney’s biggest role models for their young female audience, so I think having the concept of them playing teen girls having pride and respect for themselves to not stoop down to the level of bullies, as well as being kind, intelligent, well-spoken, and generous; essentially what it means to be a princess was a fantastic idea as they promoted the message of “anyone can be a princess”. And it really worked like I know a lot of kids growing up who said this was their favorite DCOM it’s also one of my favorites

As a kid I never realized Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez were Hispanic, so I never picked up on the colorisms of Disney in my culture. But as a Spanish speaker I always hated how some of the American or non Spanish speaking actors would roll their r's to sound more authentic but would say Costa Luna and other words as white as possible. Just a linguistic pet peeve, stay hydrated

Let’s just say, when this movie came out while I was in elementary school, a lot of classmates instantly became suspicious of some girl who transferred into our class, thinking she was a princess. .. - Wow, that is a memory I have not thought of in a long time.

This movie was made for Demi & Selena in mind. Sang a song for this movie too (the dress shopping scene). They were long time best friends at the time & even worked together on Barney for a few seasons.

This brings back memories... Used to watch it all the time with friends growing up, back in those carefree days 😩

I feel like Disney made this movie because so Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato were best friends in real life at the time. They are both from Texas and they both did appear together and Barney and Friends cause that was filmed in Texas. Plus Selena had Wizards of Waverly Place and Demi had Sonny with a Chance, and they were big at the time (but we all WOWP is better) and this was when Disney put one or two cast members from the show or put a starring cast member from one show with another from a different show. Billy you should do Nickelodeon's Rags soon, its a male Cinderella movie and Keke Palmer is in it. It's a great movie, has a great soundtrack and it's one of the best Nickelodeon movies. #Bingers

The spelling bees get me every time because I love when Billy confuses himself before even spelling the word. I watched this movie once, solely because "One in the Same" is a bop. completely forgot about it till today. Billy mentioned the other day on Twitch that he hadn't seen Remember the Titans and if you like football, you'll like the movie. It's based on a true story too! Man my 2 cousins and I were so pumped for this when it came out. I was probably 9, and we were all over Disney Channel back then. People trash on this movie now but it's so nostalgic for me and there's some bops in it. Can't believe you've never seen Camp Rock, and I am gently demanding you to watch it #bingers

Demi and Selena sang one and the same. Demi also sang the song at the end two worlds collide which was on her debut album don’t forget. They were best friends at the time. Sel was on WOWP and Demi was on SWAC which were very popular back then. Camp rock also came out the previous year.

There was actually supposed to be a sequel about them traveling the world to save the other princesses. It got canceled for obvious reasons.

My favorite part in this was the girls having their heart to heart moment and billy was talking about Selena being on the bed with her shoes! 😂😂😂 I hate when characters do that, but he had my rolling. I was 14 when this movie came out and I liked it only for the Demi and Selena song Two Worlds Collide. I thought the song was a bop then and I do now at 27.

I didn't watch this till I was 16 lol, perks of not having cable and movie days at school🤣 #bingers the movie Dreamer has recently been added to Netflix and that was one of my favorites growing up! It's a movie about an injured racehorse that's based on a real horse's story, and it has Dakota Fanning in one of the leading roles as a little child.

I remember when I was a teen and thought this movie was great. I remembered it as something fun and epic. It's so weird to see how it was not that lol. And I remember also that I really like One and the same, I listened to this song so much.
