Once mastering a particular craft one should become a master teacher… otherwise what was all them years of graft spent for… Charlie you’ve successfully transitioned into doing both and this is inspiring to see.. “when the ears of the student are ready to hear, then cometh the lips to fill them with knowledge and understanding” people like you will keep this art form strong in times where it’s heavily weakened. @CharlieCollison

How is he gonna be on TV making millions what do you think he's gonna get a reality show out of this? He's a really good bricklayer but I don't see how that's gonna translate to making millions on a TV deal

@1paparico What precisely do you mean when you say " the more political elements of building".?

@@martin2466 means they may become really successful building contractors, with hundreds of workers, but none venture into a position where they can tell the government how it really is. Before they get to that point they are already part of the system, which in my opinion is flawed. Teaching apprenticeships, for instance, is mired in red tape and is a very unpleasant experience for small contractors. There may well be builders in parliament, but they have no sway over the civil service who draw up these training plans.
